The use of artificial insemination (A.I.) as an alternative to normal mating in dog breeding in Sweden are controlled by regulations from the Swedish Board of Agriculture and by ethical rules assigned by the Swedish Kennel Club. Only veterinarians, who have a specific certificate and are specially trained and educated, are allowed to perform inseminations in dogs. Each artificial insemination must be documented and reported to the Swedish Kennel Club (SKK) which, on the behalf of the Swedish Board of Agriculture, yearly presents statistics concerning the use of A.I. in Sweden. The objective of this study was to illustrate the use of artificial insemination in dog breeding in Sweden for the last decade, using the yearly reports from the Kennel Club during the period of 1995 to 2004.

AimThe aim of this study was to find out how the research that has changed CPR training developed from a historical perspective. The question at issue was: When the recommendations for chest compressions/ventilation, defibrillator and education have been changed, what kind of research led to the development?MethodTo fulfill the aim of this study we chose a review process. First we read the international guidelines for cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) published by the American Heart Association (AHA), from year 1980 until year 2010. Secondly we chose the most important changes that had been made within the issues we had selected, then we examined the research that had supported these issues.

Corporate Social Responsibility, CSR, is discussed and the question of how much responsibility companies should really take is frequently in the news. Companies tend to ask themselves how much responsibility they should take. CSR is a common concept of companies environmental and social work and a concept we tend to see here and there in our modern society. CSR includes companies? social responsibilities, both in terms of carbon footprint, working conditions, social responsibility and more.

Swedish childcare has undergone radical changes in the last 15 to 20 years. It has evolved from kindergarten to pre-school, in other words, gone from simple childcare to an active learning environment with the child as the center. Official documents, such as the pre-school curriculum and other guide documents, define the role and work ethics of the pre-school teacher. In my thesis I argue that it is essential to have an ongoing and continuous discussion at pre-schools on the practical applications of these frameworks and ambitious goals.What do you do when you simply cannot give every child the individual time they should have according to rules and regulations? How do you stay an active and present pedagogue in today?s pre-school with large classes and heavy workloads? How do you establish a common professional work ethics within a pre-school so that all children are treated equally? In my scientific essay, I examine these issues based on a real-life situation: Ellen in the hallway.A pedagogue must continuously make balanced decisions based on rules and regulations, on life- and work experience which, in many cases, contradict each other.

The main purpose of this thesis is to analyze laws that completely prohibit abortion through a legal philosophical perspective. To demonstrate that abortion blanket bans cannot be seen as legally legitimate, the author has completed a literature study where she uses Robert Alexy?s ?Concept of Law? to analyze abortion laws both in general, and in Nicaragua in particular.Based upon Alexy?s ?Concept of Law? the author has identified three relevant key elements ? social efficacy, the argument from injustice and correctness of content - which she uses in her analysis. In order to apply these three elements on the total abortion ban, she then uses four different analysis tools - feminist theory, Human Rights, deontology analysis and right analysis. This has enabled a thorough analysis of the total ban on abortion that has demonstrates that such laws cannot be considered legitimate.By highlighting the human rights violations the law entails, one can conclude that the law has a social impact.

Sedan lång tid tillbaka har mycket diskussioner och debatter framförts kring det starka sambandet mellan redovisning och beskattning och det råder frågor kring om sambandet skall finnas kvar i Sverige eller inte. Det finns mycket fördelar med en frikoppling, men även nackdelar som kan sätta Sveriges redovisningstradition i en förändring.Syftet med uppsatsen är att framföra de olika förändringar Sveriges redovisningstradition skulle kunna utsättas för i samband med en frikoppling och även lista de olika för- och nackdelar med sambandet utefter revisorer och Skatteverket. För att uppfylla syftet har en empirisk undersökning med tre kunniga respondenter utförts. Meningen är att ta reda på hur frikopplingen skulle kunna förändra arbetssättet hos de utvalda respondenterna.Undersökningen som genomförts har visat att det råder mycket separata åsikter och diskussioner kring förslaget om en frikoppling. Det har visat sig att det skulle uppstå fler nackdelar än fördelar för både revisorer och Skatteverket i början av en frikoppling.

Habitat selection of migratory brown trout at the upper reaches of River Vindelälven, wasstudied in September during the pre-spawning period. The fish migrate from down- orupriver lakes for spawning in the river and data was collected by habitat mapping andradio-telemetry. Habitat selection of fish was analysed with preference curves andstatistical modelling, using the physical variables; depth, stream velocity and streambedsubstrate. Preference curves were derived by comparing fish habitat use with their nearbyavailable environment while the statistical modelling aimed to answer three main questions.1) Do the trout have a specific preference of depth, water velocity and streambed substrate?2) Is there any difference in habitat selection between sexes? 3) Is there a shift in habitatselection over time? The preference curves indicated that trout favored water depths of 1-2m, velocity compositions characterized as glides (c.

Därför har kommissionen antagit de regler och standarder som den London baserade organisationen International Accounting Standards Board arbetat fram.Studien syftar till att undersöka och utvärdera hur ett antal slumpvis utvalda bolag, som i huvudsak agerar i fastighetsbranschen, efterlever IFRS regelverk IAS 40 gällande förvaltningsfastigheter.Vi har i vårt arbete använt oss av en kvantitativ metod. Underlaget för empirin är hämtat från årsredovisningar från 2009 och är insamlade från företagens egna hemsidor som vi har navigerat oss fram till via Nasdaq OMX Nordic. Dessa har vi granskat och resultatet har redovisats i tabellform.Resultaten visar att det fortfarande finns mycket att arbeta med när det gäller efterlevnad av standarderna. Den största skillnaden fanns hos de Danska företagen när det gäller att lämna vissa upplysningar och kan vara värd att följa upp i en framtida studie.

Bakgrund: Sjukvården beskrivs som oerhört komplex och genom bland annat utveckling av ny och dyr teknik, som i sin tur genererar bättre vård, gör det svårt för sjukhus att hålla sin budget. En controller har en fundamental roll i en organisations ekonomistyrning och ska med hjälp av diverse styrmedel styra och kontrollera så att verksamheten drivs mot ekonomiska mål.Syfte: Syftet med uppsatsen var att beskriva och analysera hur en controller inom sjukvården använder ekonomiska styrmedel för att nå ekonomisk måluppfyllelse samt skapa en förståelse för hur en controller hanterar balansgången mellan ekonomisk måluppfyllelse och vårdkvalité.Metod: Uppsatsen är formad med en kvalitativ forskningsdesign. En flerfallstudie har använts som forskningsstrategi där den empiriska datan är insamlad genom ostrukturerade intervjuer med anställda vid två sjukhus i Småland, länssjukhuset i Kalmar och centrallasarettet i Växjö. Det teoretiska avsnittet är byggt med data som insamlats från litteratur och vetenskapliga artiklar som varit tillgängliga via Linnéuniversitetets bibliotekskatalog.Slutsats: De resultat som framkommer av studien påvisar att en controllerns användning av styrmedel tenderar att fokusera på ekonomisk måluppfyllelse. Efter denna rasering har de lyckats återfå sitt anseende och förtroende genom ett omfattande arbete. Detta var möjligt tack vare att deras grund hölls intakt, det vill säga relationen mellan rådgivarna och kunderna. The globalization of political and economic processes is a growing moral concern for theologians and political philosophers alike. My thesis aims to outline, analyze, and compare church studies of globalization with global theories of justice.To do this, I draw upon recent studies of globalization made by the World Council of Churches (WCC) and the Lutheran World Federation (LWF). The WCC and LWF are two global reaching church organizations. They have a common aim of uniting churches for ecumenical dialogue and are involved in social, economic, political, and ecological questions. The WCC and LWF analyze globalization by applying biblical and theological principles from the Christian tradition.

This Master?s thesis provides insights into adult women?s fictional reading within the conceptual phrase ?a good book?. Eight qualitative and semi-structured interviews were performed in order to examine the nature of response and perceived benefits. The collected data were analyzed by Louise M. Rosenblatt?s reception-oriented transactional theory of reading and the cognitive psychology-based model of reading developed within the joint Nordic project SKRIN.

The increasing importance of human rights within the international community over the past fifteen years has raised the issue of humanitarian intervention. This concept is a complex one, and in the debate surrounding this issue can be heard arguments from and within legal, political and ethical standpoints. There is not yet a unified definition or agreement as to the nature of humanitarian intervention but it is clear that it is an important issue internationally and it is therefore interesting to see how this has affected the debate within individual countries.
