Navtech är en internationell leverantör av flygoperationella produkter. Det här examensarbetet utfördes på en av deras produktionsavdelning som kallas Aircraft Performance, i Stockholm. Arbetet består av framtagning av en manual till en mjukvaruprodukt. Produkten är ett program som beräknar och presenterar flygprestandainformation för start och landning. Programmet tillhandahålls med två användarmanualer, Userguide och Prepages.

The homes that were built in the 60?s - and 70's are now so dilapidated and worn that they need thorough renovations. These renovations are expensive to implement for the landlords, which means that the funding for these renovations can create problems. Currently there are no government subsidies for these renovations. This report will examine how Förbo performed the renovation of Säteriet.

The Civil Engineering office in Skellefteå needs to develop the users' participation in the planning of parks and playgrounds. In order to get such a procedure to work one have to find a method that can work in the daily activity. My work aims to find such a method and to implement it in practice. Apart from helping the Parks departement to find an functional method I will also develop a deepened knowledge about users?participation wich can be very useful i my future profession. This work can be divided in three stages.

Population growth leads to an increased need for new buildings, both residential and commercial. The regulations of structural design also changes with time. From a sustainable community perspective it may be profitable if existing buildings, that no longer performs their original function, are reconditioned. Knowledge and understanding of the surroundings of the residence must be available. Regulations regarding accessibility to all has increased.

Urbanisation has increased the distance between the urban and the rural. Urban agriculture can be a solution to overcome that distance. The characteristic of urban agriculture is the intensive production in intra urban and peri-urban areas. Until 1950s food production in cities was an important part of the urban economy and the urban food supply. Since the 1950s the urban located production of food has almost ceased in Sweden, partly as a result of cheap food imports.

Introduktion: Patienter är ibland mer oroade för biverkningarna av ordinerad medicin än för själva sjukdomen. Om patienten överskattar risken att drabbas kan följsamheten till ordinationen påverkas negativt. Flera studier har därför gjorts över hur biverkningar presenteras i bipacksedlar, produktresumé, FASS, patient-FASS och Apotekets Terminal System (MOD). En slutsats är att patienter lättare förstår frekvensen av biverkningar om de presenteras verbalt istället för numeriskt. Bättre texter kan därigenom bidra till en rationellare läkemedelsanvändning och högre följsamhet.

Tungmetallflödet i den urbana miljön kan leda till resursproblem för att återföring avavloppsslam som växtnäring till brukbar jord kan försvåras av tungmetallhalter. Syftet med examensarbetet var att bidra till Käppalaförbundets uppströmsarbete genom att identifiera tungmetallkällor i avloppssystemet. Detta uppnås genom en substansflödesanalys med avseende på metallerna kadmium, koppar, krom, kvicksilver och zink för kommunerna Sigtuna och Solna vilka tillhör Käppalaförbundets upptagningsområde. Verktyget som därvidlag utvecklas identifierar tungmetallkällor, storleken av utsläppen och ger information om var åtgärdsinsatser är effektivt.För verktygsutvecklingen definierades det studerade systemet till fem områden: hushåll, verksamhetsutövare, dagvatten, tillskottsvatten och övrigt. Tungmetallkällor identifierades och grupperades till ett av de fem delområdena.

The purpose of this thesis is to cast light on the residential area Rosengård in Malmö which during the years between 1965 to 1975 was part of a programme known as "Miljonprogrammet", a project which was supposed to put an end to the housing shortages. The purpose of this thesis is also to investigate the social consequences in Rosengård, which arose as a result of Miljonprogrammet. Rosengård is one of many immigrant-dense suburbs in Sweden that by the media is given an exaggerated negative portrayal. Through our work, we also want to bring out and highlight the true image of Rosengård. The questions that have served as our starting ground include; what were the thoughts behind Miljonprogrammet? What were the consequences of Miljonprogrammet? What does the true image of Rosengård look like? What can the new government do in order to improve the situation in Rosengård? In order to answer these questions, four interviews were conducted with specifically chosen people.

I den allt mer globaliserade världen får begrepp som varumärke och kvalitet allt större betydelse även för statliga myndigheter. För Försvarsmakten är ett av de mest kända yttre attributen dess uniform. Vid sidan av de rent praktiska funktionerna är uniformen även ett signalmedel som utvi-sar vart i Försvarsmaktens struktur personen hör hemma och inom vilket tjänsteområde denne verkar. I civilt språkbruk kan detta översättas till vilken tjänstekvalitet uniformen utlovar. Från att tidigare ha varit ett signalmedel internt inom Försvarsmakten har uniformens signaler kommit att få en allt större betydelse även utanför i samverkan med andra nationer.2003 genomgick flygvapnets uniform en betydande förändring då man ändrade gradbetecknings-systemet utifrån ett internationellt behov från svenska marinen, dessa system har traditionellt alltid följts åt.

VAV (Variable Air Volume) system has been studied in a newly constructed office-building. The goal for the study has been to evaluate how the ventilations system work in practice, if adjustments can be made to achieve an more energy efficient system and to evaluate if other alternative ventilation systems is to be preferred in the further.The degree project has been executed at Helenius Engineering Firm who is working with the environment, media systems, HVAC and energy in buildings. The building that has been studied is owned and operated by Akademiska hus.Literature studies, visits at site, inventory, review of system documentation, energy analyses, interviews, key figures, LCC, sand energy- and indoor climate simulations has been made to study the building. Where appropriate some tools from Six Sigma have also been used.How to achieve an energy efficient system and a pleasant indoor climate is studied with human health and well-being as base for the indoor climate requirements. Technical support systems such as ventilation systems have to be designed so that an acceptable indoor climate can be achieved.

   Officially, Sweden has a very low level of corruption and in 2008 topped Transparency International?s list in terms of the perception of a lack of corruption. However, on closer examination it would appear that the Swedish public sector is not as clean as the Transparency International list suggests. What appears to be relatively common and quite widely accepted in Sweden, especially in local government, are conflict of interest situations in which public officials use their position to obtain advantages for themselves, their friends and their colleagues, in particular with respect to public procurement. According to the Swedish constitution, the public administration shall be governed by the principles on legality and objectivity. Grave violations of these principles are deemed illegal and contrary to the penal code provisions relating to bribery, public misconduct and breach of confidentiality.

Många företag står inför det faktum att arbetet måste anpassas till globaliseringen för att konkurrenskraften skall bibehållas. Ett sätt att göra det är att arbeta geografiskt distribuerat för att på så sätt nå kompetens och fler kunder samtidigt som 24/7-arbete möjliggörs. Men för att effektivt jobba distribuerat över tid och rum krävs en medvetenhet kring de begränsningar som det medför och hur de skall överbryggas. Sandvik IT står inför förändringar och trenden går mot fler geografiskt distribuerade team. Syftet med denna undersökning har därför fokuserats kring det distribuerade arbetets nyckelfaktorer och hur Kanban kan bidra till ett effektivt arbete.

The purpose of this study was to illustrate how cuts as a result of the economic crisis in 2008-2013 affected the newcomers' situation and the possibilities to reach the requirements for knowledge, based on the area manager, principals' and teachers' perspectives.The material we used for the study was made up of semi-structured interviews. We interviewed a psychologist, an area manager, principals and teachers. Most of the interviews were face to face and were recorded on a Dictaphone which we later transcribed and analyzed. During the process, we focused on the following aspects: acceptance and introduction support for new pupils, local opportunities and work material opportunities, school organization and employment structure, and reaction in the form of protests and demonstrations on restructuring the affected schools as a result of the cuts.The result that has emerged is that the teachers' main problem was the large increase in workload. The supervisors took no account whatsoever of protests and demonstrations organized in the affected area.

During the last year?s Swedish agriculture have had difficult times, with decreasing prices and at the same time increasing production costs, which has led to bad profitability and faith in the future. The dairies in Sweden have also had a rough time and there have been large rationalizations during the years. In the beginning of the 20th century there were almost 1700 diaries in the Swedish countryside. There has been a large technical development during the 20th century resulting in a decrease in diaries to only 46 in the whole country today. They are owned by 15 diary companies, of which 7 large and dominate on the market and the rest are small-scale companies. With this development the confidence and feeling for the diary companies also has decreased.

Autumn 2013 Location: University of Gothenburg Although the distribution of sex in the South African media houses is equal, research shows that the work conditions for women and men are unequal. Therefore, we have studied how the situation looks like beyond the statistics. The aim of our thesis is to examine, due to gender, how female journalists in Cape Town experience and cope with their work situation in a profession traditionally dominated by men.
