Online social networks are a natural part of the lives of today?s western youth. Media and information literacy is a central part of research in Library and Information science and until now there has always been more focus on these subjects in a learning context rather than in an every day life context.The aim of this study is to further examine how adolescent boys value and trust the information they receive via Twitter in their personal lives, and how this effects their view of their environment. The study was done with a qualitative method, where we conducted interviews with six boys who were all born in 1997. The results showed that they knew how to react critically to information on Twitter.

Companies of today are facing a development where it is more significant to focus on existing customers since the approach constitute a more cost reducing way, compared to finding new customers. During the last decades the marketing has therefore moved towards a relationship based marketing. Companies emphasize creating long-term relationships with customers, instead of consider the sale as a non-recurrent phenomenon. To engender customer loyalty has been an essential objective in the creation of long-term relationships.In this essay the authors have chosen to do a study which enlighten how companies in the ready-made apparel business produce added value to their brand and through this generate customer loyalty. Through a case study we analyze how Filippa K, Tiger of Sweden and Gant do to maintain value in their brand, in both a business- and customer perspective.

The purpose of this thesis is to gain insight into children`s voluntary reading in their spare time. I have focused on printed books and none of the digitally published Medias. I want to examine how children experience the power adult`s exercise over their chose of books and also why they choose the books they do. The method of this study is qualitative with interviews of six 10 years old children. I conducted the interviews detachedly and I have used two different point of view for my study; Aidan Chamber`s ?Reading Circle? and Barbro Johanssons opinions if children`s participation in terms of their voluntarily book selection.I have also studied other researchers and author´s writings about literacy, children´s reading habits, adults´ attitudes to children´s reading and children´s passion for reading.During my study it became clear that children who like to read prefer to read detective stories for children, a result that also earlier investigations reached..

BAKGRUND: Under vår tid här på Högskolan i Borås har vi läst mycket omskönlitteratur i svenskämnet i relation till meningsfullt och lustfylltlärande. Bilden som vi tycker är vag i detta sammanhang är hurpedagogerna arbetar med skönlitteratur. Därför tyckte vi att det voreintressant att undersöka samt försöka göra bilden tydligare. Vi harfunnit mycket forskning inom området vilket vi redogör för ibakgrunden.SYFTE: Vårt syfte är att undersöka variationen av hur skönlitteratur användsav pedagoger i undervisning för grundskolans tidigare år.METOD: Vi har valt att utföra vår undersökning med hjälp av redskapet selfreport.RESULTAT: Vår undersökning visar att det finns en bred variation i pedagogernasbeskrivningar om hur de använder sig av skönlitteratur. Främstanvänder sig pedagogerna av högläsning och tyst läsning men även avskönlitteratur som material för att integrera olika skolämnen för atteleverna ska få en djupare kunskap..

An inquiry into the post-war European aesthetic and political landscape should take the international organization Unesco?s colour reproductions and travelling exhibitions of paintings into consideration. In these, the organization implements André Malraux? idea of the ?imaginary museum? as a framework for a future cosmopolitical, aesthetic (and utopian) community. During the late 1940?s, the Swedish government also discusses the need for raising an ?aesthetic awareness? amongst their citizens as a consequence to a poor knowledge in the fine arts.

Ämnet neurodidaktik bygger på hjärnforskning och etablerade teorier inom det pedagogiska området. Syftet med vår studie är att dra slutsatser av de rön vi finner inom hjärnforskningen som studerar hur hjärnan fungerar i inlärningssammanhang. Vi har lyft fram ett antal förutsättningar för lärande i vår studie som alla får stöd i aktuell hjärnforskning. Dessa förutsättningar har vi kopplat samman med hur hjärnan utvecklas ur ett matematiskt perspektiv. Litteratursökningen har ägt rum i faktaböcker och databaser och för att få vägledning har vi kontaktat experter inom området.

Föreliggande studie undersöker i vad mån elever på sfi:ns nivå d kan identifiera vilket syfte ett par texter har. Dessa texter är exempel på fem vanliga texttyper i svensk offentlighet (horoskop, tidningsnotis, information från myndighet, lagtext och insändare). Undersökningen har fyra olika teoretiska perspektiv som teoretisk ram: forskning om ordförråd; läsförståelse och literacy; stil och genre samt sfi-praktiken som en normerande institution i svenskt samhälle. De tre senare av dessa perspektiv knyts samman av synen på genrer som att de riktar sig till en diskursgemenskap som förstår dem.Resultatet av min undersökning är att deltagare som har ett modersmål som talas i Europa har en kraftig fördel framför utomeuropeiska deltagare, som har svårt att identifiera texterna, oavsett skolbakgrund. Den främsta svårighet deltagarna anger är ordförråd, men resultatet antyder att graden av genresocialisation också är en viktig förklaring..

Syftet med denna studie var att ta reda på hur pedagogerna beskriver sitt syfte med högläsning och vilka upplevelser av högläsningen barnen/eleverna uttrycker. Vi ville även ta reda på om det fanns likheter och skillnader mellan pedagogernas syften och barnens/elevernas upplevelser. För att få fram detta använde vi oss av fokusgruppssamtal med både pedagoger och barn/elever. Resultatet visade att pedagogerna har en mängd syften med sin högläsning som till exempel läsinlärning, ökat ordförråd, ge barnet/eleven lugn och ro. Många av dessa uttryckta syften hos pedagogerna nämns inte i barnens/elevernas uttryckta upplevelser av högläsningen, dock uttryckte alla barn/elever en positiv attityd till högläsningen..

The purpose of this paper is to understand why education is a human right. I will look at works by the late Paulo Freire, a Brazilian educator. Paulo Freire worked for many years on developing a pedagogy to promote humanity. His goal was to demonstrate that a literate person will ultimately live a better life because she will be free from oppression and domination.I chose to study Paulo Freire as a tool in proving why education is a human right because throughout his work he demonstrated the need for people to be literate in order for them to be considered ?truly human?.

Syftet med uppsatsen är att undersöka om mediepedagogiskt ledarskap för inlärning ger en bra effekt och kvalité från elevens synpunkt. Jag har intervjuat elva studenter från Medieprogrammet vid Luleå gymnasium. En från varje avgångsklass. Jag har värderat en taxonomi över vad eleverna anser att de lärt sig. Jag har gjort en karriärsprofil för varje student.

The health care sector Öster has the highest average absence due to short-time sickness in Örebro. It is the short-term absence that has the highest costs for the organisation, not just in money, but also in quality disturbances and administrative work. Health care sector Öster is divided into four areas with a manager for each. We have chosen to conduct our research within the special housings in area one and four, since these two had the lowest and highest short-term absences.The purpose with the research is to examine short-term absences among the health care personnel in the health care sector Öster, see what the absences depend on, and what can be done to solve the issue. We will compare the absences in the area with the highest respectively lowest short-term absences in order to see if there are any prominent differences between the two.

The Third International Assessment of Educational Progress (TIMMS) and the Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) during the last decades regarding the results of mathematics teaching shows that China have a better performance than Sweden?s.Swedish teacher-guidelines focus on developing student?s individual interest and confidence for mathematics. In the Chinese teaching-guidelines for Mathematics Curriculum Standards, Ordninary Senior Secondary, the focus is given on: Elevate their mathematics literacy necessary for future citizenship and Development of citizen´s qualities (s.3).Teachers are the primary factors that impact teaching and learning of mathematics. Two teachers from Sweden and two from China were interviewed and their methods were compared in my study. The aim of my study was to understand mathematics teaching in China and Sweden.

The object of this thesis is the foundation of ethics. The question is whether there exists a universal core to ethics consisting of a fundamental ethical principle across cultures. This principle could for example be the so-called Golden Rule, which goes as follows: ?You should do to others what you want them to do to you?. The Golden Rule is to be found in many of the world?s religions and is also reflected in secular society.

The aim of this study was to investigate the result of an effort to support reading development and the reading motivation. My approach was an intervention study during four weeks, where intensive reading in a group of three pupils in grade one took place. Individual conversations and group conversations were central methods in combination with different ways of processing the texts. Interviews were conducted with the class teacher and the participating children to see the difference in reading and motivation before and after the project. The result shows that an intensive period with reading fiction books with subsequent conversations and different processing of the text is a useful developing method for decoding, reading comprehension and reading motivation.
