Trycksättning och dimensionering av brandhiss för berganläggning
This thesis deals with the design of a combinated rescue-, personal-, and firefighting Elevator for a nuclear waste storage facility to be constructed by the client SKB, Svensk Kärnbränslehantering AB. SKB:s mission is to dispose of all nuclear waste from all swedish nuclear power plants. The storage facility will be built in the rock 450 m under the surface and will consist of several kilometers of tunnel where capsules containing the nuclear waste will be placed. It will also hold a central area which contains spaces necessary for the operation and construction of the facility, such as Elevator hall, storage hall etc. The facility will have two ways of access: a vehicle ramp and an Elevator shaft.

In our modern society, time is important. Technology is used in countless ways to faster get us from one point to another. The purpose of this report is to inquire whether there is a way to implement an option for personnel at Swedish hospitals to claim priority on an Elevator call, and to do this in an efficient way. An ordinary Elevator system has been simulated with an implementation of textit{Nearest Car algorithm}, an algorithm which calculates the most suitable Elevator car to serve a specific call considering the distance between the call floor and the car and the direction. Along with this algorithm, different ways to handle priority calls has been implemented to see how they affect the mean transport time for both passengers with priority and regular passengers in the Elevator.

A common way to stabilize high rise buildings is to use an Elevator core built of concrete. Today, we use to build these Elevator cores of in-situ concrete. Precast concrete twin wall (double wall) is a semi-finished product that has become more common in recent years. This diploma work studies how the twin wall works out as structural elements in an Elevator core. The work also shows some possible ways of designing twin walls and highlights some important parts of the design that will be vital to the stability of the building. The result shows that it is important to think through where the element joints should be placed.

This is a report about accessibility. For this project the accessibility of a building in the city of Halmstad was evaluated. It´s a three storey building with five apartments on each floor divided by two stairwells. These five apartments have since been divided into three different types of apartments. Each type of apartment has been assessed separately.
Framtagande av ny höjdmätningsmetod till försvarets antennhiss 861
This bachelor degree project was carried out at Saab AB Service and Repair, Arboga, Sweden. The objective was to design, construct and implement a new stable and reliable method of measuring the continuous vertical displacement (height) of the military search radar PS861 mounted on a hydraulic powered Elevator. The end product needs to be durable enough to be fully operational in the harsh environment of an outdoor Elevator shaft and yet as accurate and precise as possible since one of its purposes is to calibrate control equipment. Previously used technique has proven not to meet any of the above mentioned properties.A prototype using a high resolution quadrature output rotary encoder has been developed, allowing a completely digital interface. This new method has been evaluated in laboratory environment where tests have been conducted regarding both reliability and validity.

Därför har vi gjort en studie kring hur man kan uppnå intuitiv visuell navigation med fyra beprövade visuella vägledande element, nämligen ljussättning, färgkulör, färgmättnad samt objektplacering. Dessa element har använts för att skapa ett visuellt språk i en bana som vi har låtit ett antal respondenter spela och simultant kommentera. Resultaten har varit som väntat, att ljussättning fungerar som det starkast vägledande elementet, samt att respondenterna reagerade på, samt vägleddes av, nämnda element..

The purpose of this dissertation is to create an understanding of how a personal idea in the mind of an entrepreneur becomes an outspoken vision in one biotech company. More specifically, for what purpose the vision is used at different stages, how it is communicated, its content and what impact previous visions have on future vision work and in order to reach a deeper understanding of how vision develops over time and how it is used we have employed a qualitative approach based on a case study. The theoretical framework starts with the concept of vision and related concepts. Furthermore, the entrepreneur?s and manager?s usage of vision is examined.

To make an organization more efficient and therefore reduce waste production everybody involved needs to appreciate and understand the improvements that can increase the organization?s efficiency. To investigate these improvements a time study was performed on two different construction sites, both of which involved buildings being constructed of prefabricated steel and concrete elements.

Alimak Hek tillverkar och säljer bl a kuggstångshissar. Kuggstångshissar skiljer sig från konventionella linhissar genom att de inte lyfts av vajrar, utan vandrar längs en kuggstång. Detta innebär att hissarna kan bära drivningen i direkt sammanknytning till hisskorgen, vilket i sin tur medför att de snabbt kan resas och användas även i svåra miljöer. Eftersom de inte behöver lyftas av en vajer är de kapabla att lyfta högt och tungt.Men likt andra typer av hissar är kravet på säkerhet högt, bl a måste hissarna utrustas med en nödbroms, kapabel att bromsa hissen om nöden kräver. Alimak Hek använder idag nödbromsar som bygger på en konstruktion som ursprungligen utvecklades på 70-talet, men genom årens lopp har tillägg gjorts för att klara nya krav.
