The aim of this Master thesis is to examine the institutionalization of Library- and Information Science in Sweden. I focus on the period 1978-1991, and pay special attention to the development of the discipline at the University College of Borås. My main method of investigation has been analysis of printed sources. After a brief description of the discipline and its history internationally, I describe how research and graduate education in Library- and Information Science developed in Sweden during the 20^th century. A major part of the thesis is an analysis of three reports from the chosen time period which are all, with slightly different prerequisites, trying to find a solution to the problem of how to establish Library- and Information Science as an academic discipline in Sweden.

Bakgrund:Demens är en av de största folksjukdomarna i Sverige och är en obotbar sjukdom som är progredierande. Agitation är ett vanligt problem hos personer med en demenssjukdom och medför ofta stress både för den demensdrabbade, för anhöriga och vårdare. Farmakologiska behandlingar har en tveksam effekt och många biverkningar, vilket gör att omvårdnaden blir en viktig del i behandlingen.Syfte: Syftet var att beskriva betydelsen av olika former av icke-farmakologiska metoder för att minska agitation hos personer med en demenssjukdom.Metod:Vald metod var allmän litteraturstudie med beskrivande design. Elektronisk sökning gjordes i databaserna Cinahl, Medline, PsykINFO och Amed. Slutligen valdes nio artiklar att ingå i resultatet.Resultat: Resultatet visar att flertalet av de icke- farmakologiska metoderna som ingår i litteraturstudien ger en minskning av agiterande beteende.

The society strives for sustainable development, in the construction industry it is expressed through sustainable building. Energy and LCC analyzes increases the ability to make conscious decisions in the process. A problem in the construction industry is that energy and LCC analysis is not used to the desired extent, as they are perceived as complicated and time consuming. The report aims to achieve a more sustainable building through increased use of energy and LCC analyzes.The goal is to show how BIM can be used to improve the efficiency of the energy and LCC analyzes.The study was conducted with a literature review and a case study to answer which information that is required in a BIM model to perform energy and LCC analyzes. The study also shows which software can be used in BIM based energy and LCC analyzes and how the analyzes can be carried out efficiently.The result shows that effective analyzes may be performed if the BIM-model contains the relevant information for making analyzes.

The aim of this master?s thesis is to examine how exchange students experience looking for information in their new life situation during a semester in Prague. A further purpose is to investigate what barriers they have faced and how this affected their information behavior. Six qualitative interviews of students constitute the empirical foundation for the study. The interviewees are from six different European countries, were all participating in the Erasmus program, and all had social sciences/humanities/art as their main subject.

During the past decade, consumer health information-centers have been developed at the hospital libraries in Sweden in order to meet the increasing demand from patients and their relatives concerning consumer health information. In 1993, the hospital libraries in Falun, Västervik and Karlstad launched a consumer health information database called PION. The aim of this Master's thesis is two-fold. My first aim is to describe and discuss the principles of user-oriented evaluation. In my attempt to convey the theoretical discussion into the everyday life of librarianship, my second and most important aim is to conduct a user-oriented evaluation of the database PION.

In order to analyse the texts and films on www.ams.se I have used tools from the modern rhetoric analysis. In the last part of my analysis I compared the results of the rhetoric analysis and the requests from the interviews to see if and how they match.Main Results: The respondents requested inspiration for their future work lives, and information that could de-dramatize the image of working. The texts on www.ams.seconsist mostly of facts, while the films made a slightly more emotional contribution to the image of the occupation. The films showing relaxed and satisfied people can be seen as a way to de-dramatize the image of working-life.

Aim: To describe perceptions about written and verbal information regarding diet and physical activity in women with breast cancer and to study possible differences between ages and perception. Method: A cross-sectional study was conducted and consisted of 57 women with breast cancer stages I-III who started adjuvant chemotherapy within a year (2007-2008). A questionnaire, regarding their perceptions about the written and verbal information they had received about diet and physical activity, was responded to three months following treatment completion. Between 67-93 % of the participants responded to the questions. The answers was analyzed with descriptive statistics and Mann Whitney U-test.

Föräldrar med barn som får diagnosen cancer hamnar i en livskris. Hela familjen drabbas av kaos. För att föräldrarna ska känna att de får stöd av sjuksköterskan, krävs att de får anpassad och lättillgänglig information om sitt barns sjukdom. Syftet med den här litteraturstudien är att belysa behovet av stöd, hjälp och information inom barncancersjukvården, ur både föräldrars och sjuksköterskors perspektiv. Både kvalitativa och kvantitativa artiklar användes.

During 2001-2002 a prototype, IMIS (Integrated Mobile Information System) was developed at BTH (Blekinge University of Technology) to demonstrate how mobile IT-systems can be used in healthcare. The prototype was based on the activity theory of Engeström. An ongoing project started in spring 2003. The purpose of the project is further development of IMIS with special focus in the diabetes healthcare. Participants in the project are scientists and students at BTH, ALMI Företagspartner, Blekinge FoU-enhet, Barndiabetesförbundet Blekinge, Blekinge Diabetesförening, Vårdcentralen Ronneby and Vårdcentralen Sölvesborg.

Bakgrund: När ett bolag ska göra en vinstutdelning efter ett avslutat verksamhetsår, måste styrelsen enligt nya bestämmelser motivera vinstutdelningen. Vid motivering av vinstutdelning skall styrelsen ta hänsyn till bolagets ekonomiska ställning och göra en prövning enligt försiktighetsregeln. Vinstutdelningen får endast genomföras om den uppfyller kravet på försvarlighet.Syfte: Syftet med denna uppsats är att undersöka hur icke börsnoterade koncerners moderbolag motiverar sin vinstutdelning enligt den nya ABL. Vi kommer även att granska hur revisorer upplever att icke börsnoterade koncerner följer de nya lagregleringarna.Nyckelord: Beloppsspärr, försiktighetsregeln, motivering av vinstutdelning, upplysningsplikt, utdelning, vinstutdelning och värdeöverföring.Metod: För att besvara problemformuleringarna valde vi att använda en både kvantitativ och kvalitativ metod. Titel: Val av revisor - Vad revisionsbyråer kan tänka på vid marknadsföring av sina tjänster till mindre aktiebolagBakgrund: Revisionsmarknaden är under förändring i dag, framförallt hos de mindre aktiebolagen. I och med förändringen kommer troligtvis konkurrensen öka bland revisionsbyråerna och klienterna får ett högre värde. Utifrån det här är det av intresse att ta reda på vad mindre aktiebolag har för preferenser vid val av revisor och hur revisionsbyråer kan tilltala och behålla klienter.Syfte: Syftet med studien är att få en bild av hur revisionsbyråer kan marknadsföra sig för att tilltala de mindre klienterna. För att kunna gör det kommer vi presentera resultatet av undersökningen om varför mindre aktiebolag väljer den revisor de gör. Vi kommer även undersöka hur mindre aktiebolag ser på en revisors arbetsuppgifter i framtiden.Avgränsningar: Studien riktar sig mot aktiebolag i Eskilstunaområdet med en omsättning på mellan 10-25 miljoner.Metod: Metoden som använts är en kvalitativ metod där fem personliga intervjuer har genomförts.Slutsatser: Det revisionsbyråer bör tänka på vid marknadsföring är att fokusera på en bra image och relation genom word of mouth.

Den här uppsatsen har undersökt hur tre relevanta myndigheter socialiserar unga kriminella som lever med ett Npf ? neuropsykiatriskt funktionshinder. Tre frågeställningar användes: Samverkan mellan myndigheterna vid socialisationen till samhället för unga kriminella med ett Npf? Erfarenheter som myndigheterna har av unga kriminellas socialisation till samhället? Är IÖV ? intensivövervakning med elektronisk fotboja en möjlighet i socialisationsarbetet av unga kriminella med Npf? Kvalitativ ansats där intervjuer har gjorts med tre personer/myndighet. Intervjuerna spelades in.

Ett av de största folkhälsoproblemen för både män och kvinnor är hjärt- kärlsjukdom. Varje år drabbas 26 000 personer och behöver vårdas på sjukhus. Idag är vårdtiden kort, ca 2-3 dagar och patienterna befinner sig ofta i chock efter sin hjärtinfarkt. Detta kan resultera i att de har svårt att ta till sig den information som ges. Patienterna behöver få insikt i att hjärt- kärlsjukdom är en kronisk sjukdom och vilka livsstilsförändringar som bör göras för att minska risken för att drabbas av ny hjärtinfarkt.

Via Internet kan vi sköta många av våra dagliga rutiner. Vi kan handla, betala räkningar, beställa biljetter till diverse evenemang, resor med mera. Även den offentliga sektorn erbjuder alltfler av sina tjänster elektroniskt. Det största hindret för utvecklingen av elektroniska tjänster är den höga säkerhet som måste ställas på exempelvis identifiering och signering. För denna säkerhet kan med fördel PKI, Public Key Infrastructure, användas.
