EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) är en av de olika tekniker och metoder som finns för att etablera e-handel. Trots att tekniken erbjuder en rad fördelar, exempelvis automatisk överföring av information utan mänsklig inblandning, är utbredningen inte så stor bland små och medelstora företag. Anledningen till detta är främst för att det är för dyrt och komplext att införa. Syftet med detta arbete är att undersöka om implementeringen av EDI har gett förväntad lönsamhet i små och medelstora företag.För att söka svar på frågeställningen har enkäter använts som metod. De slutsatser som kan dras från enkätundersökningen är att de flesta små och medelstora företag införskaffade EDI av andra skäl än lönsamhet, då främst krav från kunder.

The last few decades the development in the field of electronics has been huge. The components performance gets better at the same time as the manufacturing cost decreases. Many of the design moments that have to be done, are done automatically today, but it can get better. Especially for analog circuit design.At Electronic System in Linköpings universitet, research is in progress to develop a tool that can design analog circuits in reasonable time. It means that it has to size the components (transistors, resistances, capacitances etc), so that the circuit can fulfill the performance requirements.

The aim of this Master?s thesis is to analyse how adult students in Swedish adult education seek information for school tasks. The focus is on how they use the public library and electronic information sources and their reflection on information and sources in this process. Also of interest in the study is the help they receive from staff in the public library and their teacher. Methods used in collecting and analysing data for this study were of qualitative nature.

This thesis aims at examining to what extent a few, algorithmically very easily extractable document features can be used to classify electronic documents according to genre. A set of experiments is therefore carried out, using only 11 such simple features in an attempt to classify 84 documents belonging to electronic academic journals into three manually identified genres: table of contents, article, and review. The 11 features are also divided into three sets, containing metrics of words and sentences; punctuation marks; and URL links, respectively. The performance when using these sets of features is then measured with regard to classification accuracy, using a k-NN classifier, four different values of k (1, 3, 5, 7), and both leave-one-out and 10-fold cross-validation. This master?s thesis is about freedom of information ideas in the European Union data retention directive, 2006/24/EC. The directive means that data about electronic communications services will be retentioned. The aim of the thesis is to examine what ideas related to freedom of information that appear in the directive and how these ideas belong to the ideology of freedom of information that is common within the library community and to the juridical restrictions. In the light of surveillance tendencies that have occurred over the last years, the most well-known is probably the USA Patriot Act, it is interesting to study how freedom of information ideas appears when surveillance is legislated.

The aim of this thesis is to accomplish a user study on how e-book users experience the electronic book, the e-book, as an instrument for reading fiction. The study is based upon qualitative interviews with twelve e-book users and a small survey carried out at the Stockholm City Library. The purpose is to identify the users' incentive for choosing the e-book as a medium for reading fiction, elucidate if and how the interface of the e-book affects the reading experience, and distinguish if there are any factors common to the users in their choice of reading e-books. How the users look upon the future of the e-book is also discussed. Among the people asked in the survey we note little if any demand for the e-book as an instrument for reading fiction.

Att designa och konstruera processer för en specifik verksamhet kan vara både en omfattande ochkomplex utmaning. Det är viktigt att den person eller grupp som skall designa och konstrueraprocessen är lyhörd för verksamhetens krav och önskemål, samtidigt som det är av största vikt att dekrav och önskemål som uttalas är rimliga och går att omsätta i en verklig kontext. I den här uppsatsenhar jag undersökt hur en kundhanteringsprocess kan se ut och konstrueras, hos ett logistikföretag, sombåde utgår från verksamhetens krav och önskemål samt med stöd av befintliga modeller och teorierinom det processteoretiska området. Genom empirisk datainsamling samt insamling av teoretisktmaterial inom ämnesområdet har en huvudprocess bestående av tre delprocesser samt detaljeradebeskrivningar av processens aktiviteter konstruerats som tillsammans med verksamheten slutligenutvärderats. Vilket framgår av utvärderingen och resultatet av undersökningen är att vald metodik förkonstruktion av process samt val av insamlat empiriskt och teoretiskt material har lett till enkundhanteringsprocess som dels uppfyller verksamhetens krav och önskemål och som stöds avbefintliga modeller och teorier inom det processteoretiska området..

Development and construction of an electronic Breakout box is the main work for this thesis. The box is a part of a test system for the component Fuel Flow Transmitter and should convert signals to be suitable for a frequency counter. A previously constructed Breakoutbox for this purpose is being old and needed to be recreated. So SAAB Aerotech, Aircraft services, the company for the thesis work wanted to construct a new, more sustainable Breakoutbox adapted to a more modern technology. The signals to the box comes from the transmitter and should be converted to suitable signals for a frequency counter so it can show pulse and time difference between the signals.

The most common method for identifying merchandise in the commerce is by barcodes. Symbian OS is an advanced operating system aimed at cell phones and the most commonly used in smart phones. Opportunities to a full range of new services are given through barcode recognition in a Symbian OS based device. Therefore the purpose of this degree project was to create an application which would contribute to a future solution aimed at shopping where the cell phone constitutes a reader of items? identification numbers.

This report is on concrete work during the winter and is implemented on Peab?s behalf. The assignment was to describe the differences between a summer- and a winter casting. While it shows the complications that exists, it also show what aids are available, both electronic via computer and physical aids.The information that I have developed is originally from theory in books, information on the internet as well as practical experience from knowledgeable people that works in construction output. Other theories are those I have learned throughout the education to become a construction engineer, including all oral sources over the years.The results I have come up with, I hope will be able to help future construction projects in the planning phase of a winter casting.

Syftet med denna litteraturöversikt var att skapa en översikt över vad som kan ha betydelse för bärbara elektroniska teknikstöds användning som kompensatorisk åtgärd för vuxna personer med förvärvad hjärnskada. De 24 artiklar som ingick i studien analyserades med metoden innehållsanalys. Inklusionskriterier var artiklar utgivna efter år 2000 och vuxna försökspersoner. Analysen resulterade i fyra kategorier: användningsområden för elektroniska teknikstöd, design och funktion hos de elektroniska teknikstöden, omgivningens betydelse för användande och individuella förutsättningar för användande av elektroniska teknikstöd. Endast en artikel var skriven utifrån ett arbetsterapeutiskt perspektiv.

Elektroniska affärer innebär att affärssystem kopplas upp mot varandra i nätverk för att effektivisera överföringen av information. I dag skickar företag standardiserade meddelanden direkt mellan administrativa system för t.ex. order, lager och fakturering (OLF). Detta kallas EDI, Electronic Data Interchange, och följer i de flesta fall en standard för elektroniska meddelanden som kallas EDIFACT. Användningen av EDIFACT kräver mycket kunskap vilket ofta småföretag saknar.

Bullying is a significant workplace problem, a fact highlighted both by companies, government and social science. The purpose of this master thesis was to examine if workplace bullying is a result of group processes. This is a theory-based master thesis. A search of literature on bullying, mobbing and harassment was done in a database called ELIN, Electronic Library Information Navigator, connected to Lund University and 414 articles were singled out. The summary of the articles were studied and according to a list of criteria, I choose to study some of the articles in more depth.

The aim of this thesis is to examine the flow of information in an administration of the municipality Borås Stad. To achieve the aim the following questions were asked: How accessible is information? How is information used in the organisation? How is information communicated? Totally sixteen qualitative interviews was accomplished with employees at the administration. The results of the interviews show that there is a difference in how much and what sort of information the respondents use. They all seem to prefer information to be communicated face to face if possible or over the phone.

Dock är det ett begrepp som är svårt att definiera. Detta beror på hur starkt kopplat det är till individens egna värderingar om vad en ?attraktiv stad? är.
