The present study concerns a concept development of a product idea that Bengt Magnuson, associate professor, had when a heavy storm caused a widespread power failure of long duration. With a basic power-producing unit one should be able to get through a power loss. The product could also be useful for other tasks if different modules are connected, e g grass mower or snow-blower.According to the product idea the basic unit will be able to produce electric power enough for a fridge, freezer, TV, and a few electric lamps. Normally the basic unit can be used e g as a mower, when such a module is attached. An increased number of tasks would make the contraption useful and tempting for those who do not own an electrical power set in reserve.

I ett flertal länder pågår en utveckling av så kallade ?All electric ship? som innebär atttraditionella framdriftsystem bestående av motor-reduktionsväxel-axel-propeller ersätts meddiverse typer av elmotorer som driver propellern. Denna utveckling fortgår även inomfartygens hjälpsystem, det vill säga hydrauliska och pneumatiska pumpar, vridmotorer ochkolvar ersätts med elektriskt drivna aktuatorer. Orsaken till att man driver denna utveckling ärbland annat att minska utstrålat buller, minska energiförbrukning, minskaunderhållskostnader, öka livslängden och öka flexibiliteten i design av fartyg.Syftet med detta självständiga arbete är att utreda vilka tekniskt/taktiska fördelar Sverige kanfå om vi driver utvecklingen av svenska ubåtar mot AES. Detta självständiga arbete kommeratt begränsa sig till ett fåtal av de system som finns ombord på en ubåt och undersöka omdagens hydrauliska system kan ersättas med elektriskt drivna aktuatorer utifrån degrundläggande förmågorna ledning, underrättelser, verkan, rörlighet, uthållighet och skydd.Metoden som används för att analysera dessa eventuella fördelar med en utveckling av ubåtarmot AES är en analys av texter, denna analys bygger på ett kvalitativt tänkande.

Better, more efficient fertilizers with great productivity and economic returns are needed, but it is important today to find fertilizers that are also sustainable. It is also important to carefully monitor their impact on the environment, including potential side-effects. In this context, the microbial communities that carry out numerous essential functions contributing to a functional ecosystem are of particular interest. The present study is a complement to a pot experiment that investigated the potential of different waste products for use as fertilizers and how they affect the microbial community. In the pot experiment, the clearest treatment change in microorganism community function was found in the fully fertilized treatment used as a positive control. The question was whether this was indirect, i.e.

To be able to secure a safe and reliable power supply is becoming increasingly important since society depends on services and functions that need continuous power supply. The delivery rate in Swedish power supply is 99.98 % which insists on a high availability. During the past decade several storms has passed Sweden which resulted in large amount of tree felling leading to extended power outages. During these storms many socially critical activities, such as electric utility company Fortum, experienced disruption in mobile communication which affected the crisis management. This paper has investigated Swedish mobile operators? crisis management at Hi3G, Tele2 and TeliaSonera with a case study of the storm Dagmar that hit Sweden during December in 2011.

This report investigates a possible solution to the problem with adapting wave powerplants to work in countries with tidal water. The wire connecting the buoy at the surface with the generator at the bottom needs to adjust to the varying water depth. Our solution to this problem is to attach the wire to a jack which is then placed inside the buoy. The jack is then powered by an electric engine. The report discuss what forces the buoy will be exposed to and then the structural integrity of the design is evaluated through simulations.

Many traffic incidents are due to the driver?s lack of attention, resulting in dangerous lane departures, either sliding off theroad or into the oppose lane. These kinds of incidents often have serious outcomes, which has led to much effort being concentrated on preventing or lessening the damages when the incident is already a fact, for example by installing safety belts and air bags. These measures may be considered to be acts of so-called passive safety. Active safety on the other hand, means that the safety systems intervene before the incidents have occurred.

Arvika Fjärrvärme AB, a district heating company from Arvika, today cover 74 % of their total energy production with biofuel wich runs a 16 MW bioler giving process water at saturated liquid state.In recent years Vaporel AB has introduced a new tecnique that gives an external generation of steam after boilers. The concept is built on an adiabatic pressure drop of the saturated liquid in a so called Flashbox which makes a small part of the liquid to evaporate. The generated steam is lead into a turbine where electricity is in a conventional manner.The purpose with this rapport was to do a basic study for the specific system at Arvika where it?s possible to see the potential production of electricity that follows an installation of a flasbox.The final goal was to introduce an economic analysis of a flashox installation at given conditions.To reach our goals we have created a model in Excel where we used the given conditions at Arvika Fjärrvärme to do our calculations. The model has been tested at three different states, of process water returning to potboiler, to be able to decide the optimal operation for the system at present.The studies have resulted in a pressure of the processwater at 14,5 bar (at) and a pressuredrop to 9,5 bar (at) in the flashbox.

Målet med detta examensarbete har varit att utveckla ett rapporteringssystem som hjälper till att utföra provning av elanläggningar enligt fastställda normer och samtidigt visa resultatet på ett lättförståeligt och tydligt sätt som går att använda i E.ONs risk- och sårbarhetsanalysverktyg. SummaryI have a great interest in bouzoukis and since I, during my education in guitar making, mainly have focused on building bouzoukis and other traditional folk instruments, I have chosen the bouzouki as the object of my degree project.In connection to the making of these instruments, I started to consider the construction of the bouzouki and why the bouzouki has such a characteristic sound.One of my theories is based on the fact that most bouzoukis are made with floating bridges instead of glued pinbridges. Do these types of bridges differ from each other tonally and if so, how much and in what way?To receive answers to my questions, I have built two identical bouzoukis with different types of bridges, one with a glued pinbridge and one with a floating bridge. I have been very precise in the making of these instruments, giving them the exact same dimensions and using material from the same piece of wood. This to make sure that the instruments should be as exactly alike as possible.After finishing the making of the bouzoukis, I arranged for a sound test where I let musicians play and listen to the instruments.

Verket är ett datorspel som skapades med syftet att experimentera med icke konventionella kontrollsystem.En stagnation i utvecklingen av den konventionella handkontrollen har kunnat anas i de senaste konsolgenerationsskiftena. Handkontrollernas komplexitet har nått en nivå när den på allvar börjar orsaka brister i användarvänlighet. Det finns dock ett bevisligen stort intresse för alternativa kontrollsystem hos spelare. Detta talar försäljningssiffror för Guitar Hero (Activision, 2006) och Nintendo Wii om.

With a larger awareness of the climate changes and increasing electricity prices, energy efficiency measures in the industry have become more common. By rationalize the activity and by the same time decrease the emission of greenhouse gases the company can both save money and reduce negative environmental impact. For the Swedish industries the electricity price have traditional been relative low, which has resulted in a considerable larger usage than other European countries. By a deregulation of the European electricity market the electricity price will level off between the countries, which will cause a higher electricity price in Sweden than we are use to. To prevent that the Swedish industry don?t lose competitiveness against the other European countries, it will require energy efficiency activities in all different forms.ABB Sweden has decided to decrease their total energy usage with five percent in two years.

I Sverige används det idag cirka 5,4% förnybara drivmedel inom transportsektorn, att jämföra med under 0,5% år 2000. Av de ickefossila drivmedlen är el något som ofta benämns som en permanent och realistisk framtida lösning. Visionen ?Stockholm ? Elbilsstad 2030? drivs av Stockholms Stad i samarbete med Fortum AB i syfte att ersätta den fossilbränsleslukande fordonsflottan.I den här studien undersöks de tekniska förutsättningarna och de eventuella vinsterna av ett storskaligt införande av elbilar. Studien har gjorts genom en modellering där parametrar som elbilens prestanda, elpris, bilens inköpspris och totala utsläpp använts.

Studien syftar till att öka musiklärarens förståelse för elevernas uppfattning om fördelar och nackdelar med dagens gängse undervisningsmetoder. Jag har i min undersökning utgått från faktorer som jag funnit i tidigare undersökningar som visat sig vara viktiga för musikundervisningens kvalité. Genom en intervjuundersökning har ett antal elever fått beskriva vad de uppfattat av specifika moment, som att lära sig sitt första ackord på gitarr. Samt skillnaden mellan att lära sig spela nya ackord på gitarr nu och i början. Svaren har sedan jämförts med vad som tidigare framhållits som viktiga faktorer för att uppnå god kvalitet på undervisningen.
