Miljöledningssystems största vinst är inte ekonomisk utan den visar sig i form av en effektivare organisation, ökad miljömedvetenhet och engagemang hos ledningen och medarbetarna, besparingar, minimerade risker för framtida problem, bättre feed-back på miljöarbetet, större säkerhet för att fälja lagarna och så vidare. Abstract Denna studie har vi ägnat åt att undersöka PRS-dokumenten, vilka innefattas under IMF och Världsbankens nya skuldreduceringsprogram som ska präglas av nationellt ägande, nationellt drivande och landsspecificering. Frågan vi ställt oss är om dessa dokument är landsspecifika eller om de är mer generellt utformade och då ej så anpassade till det enskilda landets förhållanden. Vi har även tagit del av den kritik som riktas mot PRS-initiativet och försökt utröna hur pass befogad denna är. Kritikerna menar bl.a. att PRS-initiativet endast är en fortsättning på tidigare strukturanpassningsprogram (framtagna av IMF och Världsbanken) och inte alls något nytt inom utvecklingsarbetet.

En ekonometrisk paneldata modell användes för att studera hur antalet förlorade QALYs skiljer sig beroende på valet av mätmetod. Data baserades på individer som skadats i trafiken och som retrospektivt värderat sin hälsorelaterade livskvalitet direkt före olycksfallet och vid olika tidpunkter efter olycksfallet. Tre olika mätmetoder användes: VAS, IHQL, och EuroQol. Förlorade QALYs beräknades för fyra subgrupper. För subgruppen ?svårt skadade/fullt friska före olyckan? var antalet förlorade QALYs störst (0,370) respektive minst (0,130) om det uppmätts med EuroQol respektive IHQL (relativ skillnad var 2,85).

In my degree project I have focused on how to make it easier for ambulance personnel to remove a motorcycle helmet after an accident. During my research I have interviewed ambulance personnel from different cities and a trauma surgeon to get a better understanding of how they work today and the problems they experience. Some of the problem areas are that you need a lot of force to remove the helmet, that the padding catches the ears and that the chin guard catches the face. Since ambulance personnel always assume that there is a neck injury after an accident, all these problems make it difficult to remove the helmet safely.The result is a motorcycle helmet with a focus on safe removal after an accident, to reduce the risk of worsening a neck injury. The solution suggested is that a small part of the back of the helmet is detachable, to make the opening larger.

The Swedish Armed Force has a need to streamline the preparation of an exercise in tactical training for soldiers because the preparation of an exercise is currently laborious and time consuming when commanders manually share files to each computer that will be included in the exercise. The degree project was to create a file sharing program within the internal network of the Defence Forces? international centre (Swedint). The program is used by the training management to effectively start up an exercise where soldiers train tactical training in a simulated combat environment. The training management use this program to upload files to a server which notifies all the computers on the network to download these files.

Denna uppsats behandlar problem med regelstyrd penningpolitik då hänsyn tas till osäkerhet kring kapacitetsutnyttjandet i ekonomin. Uppsatsen baseras på Taylors teorier kring ränteregler som säger att centralbanker bör sätta räntan utifrån förändringarna i BNP-gapet och inflationen. Sådana ränteregler har visat sig avspegla den historiska utvecklingen i räntan tämligen väl och har också använts som en referens vid utvärderingar för hur effektiv den förda penningpolitiken har varit genom kontrafaktiska simuleringar. Ett problem med dessa simuleringar och utvärderingar är att de oftast har använt slutgiltiga data för BNP-gap och inflation. Detta är dock inte helt rättvisande eftersom detta inte speglar den information som finns tillgänglig för beslutsfattare.

Denna studie utgör en del av projektet ?Mera mjölk i tankarna? vilket drivs av Växa Sverige i samarbete med, LRF Västerbotten, Norrmejerier och LRF konsult för att utveckla och stärka mjölkföretagen i Norrbotten och Västerbotten. Syftet med denna delstudie var att undersöka vilka produktionsfaktorer som har stor betydelse för att uppnå en god ekonomi och lönsamhet i ett mjölkföretag. Därför studerades samband mellan biologiska produktionsnyckeltal och ekonomisk data från 18 mjölkföretag, belägna i Västerbotten och Norrbottens län. Arbetet innefattar dels en litteraturstudie och dels en sammanställning samt analys av resultat från data som erhållits av en produktionsrådgivare och en ekonomirådgivare i samband med gårdsbesök.

In Sweden prostitution is by many considered to be a social problem that primarily affects women. To counteract prostitution is a political priority and as a result the purchase of sexual services is prohibited by law. Since the law that prohibits the purchase of sexual services entered into force it has been continuously debated and widely disputed. The aim of this thesis is to compare the image of prostitution found in the travaux préparatoires of the law with four sex workers? view of the phenomenon.

Uppsatsen består av en fallstudie på avdelningen Ekonomisk statistik inom SCB. Studien har som syfte att undersöka huruvida formell styrningsinformation som produceras inom SCB används, och i så fall hur den används av aktörer på olika hierarkiska nivåer. För att kunna uppnå syftet har vi intervjuat en avdelningschef samt två enhets- och produktansvariga. Formell styrningsinformation har i uppsatsen avgränsats till kvalitetsundersökningar, NKI, leverans- och medarbetarenkäter samt ekonomisk styrningsinformation hämtad från datasystemen Prodadm och Visinsight. Sett ur det organisatoriska ledningsperspektivet kan ekonomisystemets funktioner vara att understödja ansvarsstyrning och beslutsfattande i organisationer.

This master?s thesis deals with problems and opportunities when it comes to cooperation between compulsory schools, upper secondary schools, school libraries and public libraries on Gotland. The goal of this thesis is to investigate which ideas exist among public librarians, school librarians and headmasters when it comes to taking responsibility for the students? information literacy, basic library knowledge and passion for books. It also examines some of the problems they meet when trying to work together around these tasks.

The Capturetheory wants to give an alternative explanation for the need of regulation. From this point if view the government does not have enough information to make an optimal regulation. There is a possibility for different interest groups to take advantage of the political arena by rent- seeking behaviour. An industry may be willing to be regulated to protect itself from competition. The objective of this paper is to account for the pros and cons of the theory of regulatory capture and also if it can be applied to the Swedish market of pharmaceuticals.

This led to the fact that a new law, SOX 404, was established in the US. The law says in its whole that enterprises must have better control of their internal accounts.The aim with this paper is to examine how the surrounding world of an organization with stakeholders as well as other surrounding elements, affect or force an organization to change, and how a changing process is introduced and accomplished.We carried through a survey as well as interviews at the actual organization. Furthermore, we investigated why the change has come into practice as well as attitudes and opinions towards the change, and lastly, how the changing process has been accomplished.

Svenska kyrkan är en offentlig verksamhet som har ett lagkrav att upprätta en årlig budget som skall vara i balans. Intresset för studien väcktes när vi upptäckte hur lite forskning som fanns inom området. Det övergripande syftet med uppsatsen var att undersöka styrningen i Svenska Kyrkan.
