Upplands Väsby municipality has a vision that podcars in the future will become an effective alternative in public transport, with reduced car-dependency as a result. The system would also attract new inhabitants and businesses to the municipality.This report deals with various issues that podcar stations may face. Also, suggestions for possible track laying at the stations and station design are presented. Two areas are investigated. Eds allé which is a neighborhood that is planned for housing and where the station may be planned into the cityscape from the start.

Buller och vibrationsstörningar anses vara ett av järnvägens allvarligaste miljöproblem. I Banverkets mål och riktlinjer för buller och vibrationer (Banverket, 2002) återfinns målet att boende vid järnvägen maximalt ska utsättas för 70dB(A) ljudnivå vid uteplats i anslutning till bostad. Vid speciellt utsatta fastigheter där detta mål överträds kan uteplatsen skärmas in för att komma till rätta med problemet. Detta examensarbete behandlar hur en bullerskärms prestanda och dess omgivning kan simuleras och analyseras med hjälp av Boundary Element- programvara. Boundary Element-Metoden är en numerisk liknande den mer kända Finita Element-Metoden.

The objective of this work was to introduce measures to reduce energy and water demand at Gävle Söder 17:10. To succeed, this energy audit has been made. The work is based on collected statistics from the property owner Norrporten, measurements, literature review and through consultation with experts in the field. Two models, one for each building, have been created in the simulation program BV2 to estimate the potential of energy measures based on the collected information. The models in BV2 have been verified against the statistics of the energy consumption.With the help of calculations and simulations, seven cost-effective measures have been identified.

AbstractThis research is about pre-school children?s conceptions of the river and the water environment. The aim of this study was to apply a new teaching method based on the outside learning, as well as to test the method and see if it works, i.e. if children get more knowledge this way compared to ordinary methods like teaching in the class-room which involves showing pictures and discussion of them.The main questions in this study were how children get new knowledge through outside learning and how effective this learning method is, i.e. how much they noticed and learned about the river and the water environment as a result of that outside observation.

This master thesis was initiated with the aim to answer at what level of installed capacity of wind power in the northern parts of Sweden it would be beneficial to improve the transmission capacity from the northern Sweden. During the process of this work the aim has changed to try and create a model that can be used to analyze how well the hydro power installed in the northern Sweden can even out the quick changes in wind power production.To create a good model of all hydro power in northern Sweden is a very large job, unfortunately too large for a master thesis. This report therefore ends with an extensive analysis of the simplifications that have been made and their effects as well as a list of the future work that has to be done.The model that has been created have shown to be effective and produce good results. The conclusions that can be made is that the northern Swedish hydro power have very good possibilities to balance the wind power production. Only a few cases where water have been spilled even though there has been some free capacity has been discovered.

We are constantly being fed information. Everything and everyone we come into contact with may somehow make a new impression on us, whether we are aware of it or not. One of the ways that people in today?s society in Sweden are being given information is via different types of media, for example through commercials. Whether it?s a video clip or a still-frame picture, a commercial is an effective way for a company to reach out to potential customers.However, it is not only the messages or signals that may appear obvious that these companies send out when advertising with commercials.

I detta arbete används en experimentell metod i form av ett genomförande av tre olika undervisningsmetoder: katederundervisning, egen forskning ? att studera hemsidor på Internet och rollspel. Metoden kompletteras genom en kvantitativ undersökning bestående i en utvärdering i enkätform tillsammans med min egen utvärdering av min insats som lärare utifrån videoupptagningsmaterial. Syftet med arbetet var att få en större kunskap om olika undervisningsmetoders förmåga att förmedla fakta- respektive analyskunskap, få veta elevernas syn på förmedlingen och få insyn i lärarens betydelse för metoden. I teoriavsnittet redovisas synen på lärandet ur vissa synvinklar tillsammans med forskning om de specifika metoderna och hur dessa kan användas.

After the tsunami disaster in December 2004 many arguments were heared that one oft the major reasons behind the poor Swedish effort connected to the evacuation and health care of the Swedish citizens in Thailand right after the incident is the Swedish model with independent government authorities. By comparing the constitution, the political decision making tradition by the ministers and the handling of the catastrophe in the tree Scandinavian countries Denmark, Norway and Finland, plus analysing the behaviour of the Swedish foreign and prime minister from a rational choose inspired individual decision making theory the research shows that there is no proof that a constitutional change in Sweden into the traditional model with government authorities controlled by the ministers alone would led to a more effective crisis handling by the government due to crises concerning Swedish citizens out states. Although the research shows that the constitution and the tradition of decision making in the government provides the basic condition of the ministers individual rational decision making.

You now have the possibility to communicate by the phone or through the Internet to get information about the train you want to take. Development in mobile technology gives us new possibilities to communication. We want to find out whatever SMS would be a suitable approach to inform passengers about delays. The problem formulation is ?If the technology is available to inform the passengers about delays in an more effective way than today, then why not use it? The ?Kustpilen? that operates in Blekinge and Skåne is the case for our study.

Obesity is one of the biggest threats to child- and adolescent health. The amount of obese children is today increasing more in Sweden than in the US. This may in a couple of years have bad consequences for the Swedish children?s quality of life. When a child suffers from obesity it is a big stress on the body and can lead to serious consequences in adulthood.

Denna uppsats behandlar nätverksoptimering, med fokus på att få fram den bästa möjliga tillgängligheten till lägsta möjliga kostnad, i form av länkar. I studien tas en teoretiskt grundad hypotes om en metod fram för att lösa detta problemet. Samt genomförs ett test där metoden appliceras på ett studieobjekt för att bekräfta huruvida metoden verkar fungerar eller inte.Resultatet blir slutligen en metod som genom att analysera tillgängligheten, länk redundansen samt beräkna antal oberoende vägar mellan noder i ett nätverk. Kan genom att jämföra resultat från före en förändring med resultat från efter en förändring lyfta fram de förändringar som medför förbättringar. Att arbeta som lärare i de lägre skolåren innebär att ha ansvar för barnens läs- och skrivinlärning. Det finns flera metoder att utgå från i undervisningen och syftet med mitt arbete är att studera de vanligt förekommande metoderna. Genom att läsa litteratur hade jag ambitionen att ta reda på vilka huvuddrag och centrala tankar metodernas förespråkare står för och även hur metoderna kan användas i klassrummet. Dessutom har jag genom en empirisk studie studerat hur lärare i skolans verksamhet använder metoderna och vad de har för tankar om de olika arbetssätten. För att begränsa mitt arbete har jag studerat de vanligast förkommande metoderna; den syntetiska metoden, den analytiska metoden och LTG (läsning på talets grund).

Denna kvalitativa fallstudie utgår från det teoretiska ramverket om teorin och metoden 'de förtrycktas teater'. Augusto Boal formade 'de förtrycktas teater' utifrån tanken om att teatern skulle vara ett vapen för folket i förändring av samhällets strukturer och normer. Teorin och metoden appliceras på fallet; Antanas Mockus teatrala aktioner för förändring i Bogotá. Frågeställningen gäller Hur teater kan fungera som metod för att skapa samhällsförändring? och På vilket sätt Antanas Mockus har använt 'de förtrycktas teater' i sitt arbete för samhällsförändring i Bogotá? Resultatet når en diskussion om att deltagande är vitalt i skapandet av samhällsförändring och det specifikt genom teater som metod.

I arbetet studeras möjligheten att använda inspelningsteknik som ett verktyg i en kreativ musikalisk process, som en hjälp för att analysera och bedöma musikers insatser för att tydliggöra och förbättra prestationen. Studien behandlar frågan om inspelningar kan vara ett aktivt hjälpmedel vid komposition och om det är möjligt att använda i formellt pedagogiska miljöer för individuell utveckling och ensemblespel. Studien har genomförts vid ett tillfälle, med fyra musiker som utifrån ett grundmaterial, improviserat, arrangerat och spelat in en låt tillsammans. Inspelningarna har gjorts i en studio med datorbaserad inspelningsteknik och analyserats och värderats utifrån studiens syfte och presenteras tillsammans med en ljudinspelning på CD med material från inspelningen. Reflektion och bedömning av materialet och metoden har skett i samtal mellan musikerna under inspelningssessionen.
