I undervisningen av läs- och skrivinlärningen har till exempel metoder som Wittingmetoden, LTG-metoden och Bornholmsmodellen använts sedan 1950-talet. I och med datorns starka etablering i samhället har metoder som Arne Tragetons- Att skriva sig till läsning och Writing to Read-metoden tagits fram. Syftet med vår undersökning var att belysa skrivprocessens olika metoder och dilemman. Utgångspunkterna har dels varit en litteraturgenomgång där litteratur som behandlar skrivprocessens olika metoder och problematik samt datoranvändning har studerats. En kvantitativ enkätundersökning på fyra olika skolor riktade till elever och lärare samt en kvalitativ intervju med några utvalda elever genomfördes.

Taktil stimulering används inom flera olika hälsofrämjande verksamhetsområden i Sverige och är en form av mjuk massage. Under 1990-talet startade utbildning i metoden. Då taktil stimulering är en relativt ny metod finns det ännu inte så många studier i ämnet. Syftet med studien var att belysa hur vårdpersonal upplever det att använda taktil stimulering i omvårdnadsarbetet. Metoden som användes var kvalitativa intervjuer.

Background and purpose: Volleyball requires a lot of the human body, andeffective core stability is necessary for the athlete. Our muscles cooperate as achain of motions and core stabilization is the base for the moving muscles.The most well-known stabilization muscle is m.transversus abdominis (TrA).The purpose of the present study was to evaluate the function of TrA inSwedish female elite volleyball players and to observe the influence of eightweeks of stabilization exercise on the TrA. Method: 10 female elitevolleyball players (mean age 24,7 years, range 18-31 years) participated inthe study. TrA was measured in supine position with a pressure biofeedbackunit. Subjects were instructed to draw in the abdominal wall without movingthe pelvis and hold for 10 seconds.

Omvårdnadsbehovet är väsentligt vid typ 1 diabetes, och sjuksköterskan spelar en central roll vid omhändertagandet. Insulinpumpen, som utvecklades för ca 25 år sedan, medförde hopp om bättre metabol kontroll och livskvalitet. Den användes också i ökande omfattning hos barn. Barndiabetessköterskor har förvärvat god kunskap om metoden och unik möjlighet att utvärdera dess betydelse för barndiabetesvården. Hittills har det emellertid kommit få rapporter om deras observationer.Syftet med den aktuella intervjustudien, var att belysa barndiabetessköterskors erfarenheter och omvårdnadsstrategier vid insulinpumpbehandling hos barn med typ 1 diabetes, och jämföra dessa med traditionell insulintillförsel.

Leber´s hereditary optic neuropathy (LHON), a disease affecting vision, is caused by several point mutations in mitochondrial DNA. Mutations leading to a defect NADH ubiquinone oxidoreductase protein will affect the respiratory chain and cause a disturbed ATP production. It is still unknown why this defect leads to the degeneration of retinal ganglion cells and cells in the opticus nerve as well as demyelination of axons in these areas. Analysis of mitochondrial DNA is an important tool in the diagnosis of the disease. At the present time analysis is based on cleavage by restriction enzymes, which only detects two of the most frequent mutations: m.3460G>A and m.11778G>A.

Syftet med uppsatsen är att undersöka individens olika dimensioner av jaget/Self-concept och dess betydelse för relationer mellan konsumenter och varumärken. Vi har valt att forma studien efter det existentiell-fenomenologiska paradigmet. Metoden är passande för att undersöka konsumenters erfarenheter av olika slag. Metoden innefattar djupintervjuer där respondenterna styr dialogen under intervjun. De teorier vi har valt att använda oss av är teorier kring relationen mellan individ och varumärke, Self-concept, referensgruppsteori, Conspicuous och Status Consumption samt varumärkesteori.

I dagens samhälle är vi människor dagligen i kontakt med IT. De senaste åren har informationstekniken ständigt utvecklas vilket har gjort att vi har fått nya möjligheter att till exempel kommunicera och lära. Syftet med detta arbete är att undersöka hur lärarna upplever att Arne Tragetons metod Att skriva sig till läsning påverkar elevers läs- och skrivutveckling, samt hur metoden används i praktiken. Dessutom vill vi undersöka hur informations- och kommunikationsteknik bidrar till ett tidsenligt lärande. För att uppnå vårt syfte formulerade vi tre frågeställningar som handlade om hur lärarna upplever hur metoden Att skriva sig till läsning påverkar elevers läs-och skrivutveckling, hur lärarna upplever att digitala verktyg bidrar till elevers lärande samt hur metoden fungerar i praktiken.

In part this paper is a contribution to the ongoing Swedish discussion about our public structures. The discussion has picked up speed in the last years thanks to a government backed committee trying to come up with a suggestion to make our public sector more efficient. A big part of the debate is about the independence and work of our municipalities, what they should do, what they shouldn?t do and when the state should step in and take over. I make a theoretical investigation into one of these issues, the one about job creation.

This examination work aims to describe how a supply chain around the biggest pellets factory in Sweden will be configured in a logistic perspective. The plant and associated infrastructure are in the building phase and will have production start on the 2 November 2009. The key question that is set in this examination work is to recognize the logistic processes which are essential for an effective flow of materials and information that link the source of supply with the ultimate customer. In order to get the answer, a flowcharting of these supply chain processes is required for understanding the pipeline activities such as input and storage of raw material, the production system and the output of pellets to the customers. The basis for this supply chain map is a model-based representation of these logistic processes and activities that are involved around the pellets factory.

A challenge faced by marketers is to make their products stand out in today's cluttered marketplace. Recently, a new approach to attract attention has been observed - brands communicating their products by making fun of other brands. This way of parodying a competitor, or even an unrelated brand, is a risky but potentially effective way to increase attention. Brand parodies walk a fine line between being humorous and clever, or coming off as offensive. Furthermore, parodying another trademark poses legal considerations.

Storyline är en metod som ursprungligen är framtagen för yngre elever. Min avsikt är att undersöka hur metoden kan fungera på gymnasiet. Studien baseras på ett lokalt gymnasialt Storylineprojekt om klimat där ett arbetslag för första gången provade metoden. Via elevutvärderingar samt intervjuer med lärare och elever har jag tagit reda på vilka vinster arbetssättet medförde. Jag har också tagit reda på vilka hinder det finns för Storyline på gymnasiet och hur det genomförda projektet skulle kunna utvecklas.

Landscape architecture is a visual profession, but other senses also affect our interpretation of a place. Sounds can give us a lot of information about an environment, and they are often perceived as positive. Despite this, research about outdoor sounds most often focus on the reduction of unwanted sounds ? noise ? but the absence of noise does not result in a good soundscape. To accomplish this, sounds we appreciate are needed.

With the end of the Cold War the number of conflicts where the United Nations have intervened has increased dramatically. This has entailed a need for a burden-sharing between the UN and regional organizations regarding management of conflicts. The aim of this study is to make a comparative analysis of the effectiveness and the efficiency in the efforts undertaken by ECOWAS and the UN during the civil war in Sierra Leone, through using theories on conflict resolution and the advantages of regional organizations in conflict resolution.My conclusion is that both ECOWAS and the UN were quite successful in managing the conflict and had an impact on the resolution of the war, although both peace operations suffered from internal problems. ECOWAS was effective in managing the conflict and in its mediating efforts as an insider from the region. The UN was more efficient in managing to attain their goals.

The purpose with this work was to investigate some alternatives for an effective handling with grain, to find the most economic alternative. It is not common that moisture content is below 14% when harvesting grain in Sweden. To store the grain safe it has to be preserved in some way. I have described some of the most common systems for preserving grain in this paper. I have used the systems as a basis when I made calculations in handling the grain for a company. I have chosen a company placed in south of Sweden. The productions are crop farming and pork.

How effective is consumer power? Can consumers regulate corporate behavior?And if so is the case, could the mechanisms where consumers regulate corporatebehavior have any democratic value to contribute with? These are the questionsthat this master's thesis comprehends with. The purpose of this writing is toconstruct a theory of consumer power that is compatible with democratic theory,this in order to contribute to the ongoing discussion within the discipline ofpolitical science about the third democratic transformation. A discussion that hasbeen actualized due to the democratic deficit created by the growing corporatepower and the shift of power from state to private enterprises. Besides showingfor a parallel between the democratic mechanisms that exists in the relationbetween citizens and state on the one hand, and the consumers and corporationson the other hand, this paper argues that consumers do have a great potential inregulating corporate behavior towards a higher social responsibility andawareness.
