This study examines the possibilities of interpreting the moral values and ethics presented in the current curriculums in a way that makes them inclusive and constructive. The study also reveals how the liberal democratic ideal, presented in the curriculums as a hyper-ideology, is not at all easy to define or live up to in the pluralistic school of today.By close-reading and criticizing the curriculum for the Swedish senior high school (Gy11)and by looking at it from two different points of views, as rules or norms and as a process, Ishow how the curriculum can be interpreted as a basis or starting point for a communicationabout values. I also discuss wether the aim of this communication should be consensus or anongoing process..

The aim of this master's thesis is to examine whether librarians working in public libraries see fiction as a source of knowledge, and what role this plays in the educational mission of the public library. This investigation, which consists of a literary study and an empirical section, shows that the concept of phronesis denotes practical wisdom and moral thinking, and that it can be applied to that form of knowledge to which reading can contribute. An important issue in this context is the reader's motivation to learn. The interviews show that librarians see literature as a source from which knowledge can be drawn. When they mediate literature, they believe that they are conveying something of value and they set great store in mediating literature which could have a not inconsiderable import to the borrowers.

SammanfattningSyftet i föreliggande studie är att belysa HBTQ-individers upplevelser och bemötande inom motionsanläggningar och på vilket sätt detta får betydelse för upprätthållandet av fysisk hälsa och välmående.Hur upplever HBTQ-individer motionsanläggningars normer och hur påverkar heteronormativiteten om hur de uppfattas inom fysisk aktivitet och idrott?Vad influerar HBTQ-individers egna fysiska hälsa?Finns det specifika parametrar som påverkar HBTQ-individers användning av motionsanläggningar?MetodFör att kunna granska hur heteronormativiteten präglat motionsidrotten i samhället har queerteorin samt genusteorin dels använts som utgångspunkt för studien som helhet och dels som studiens teoretiska förståelseverktyg i databearbetningarna. För att besvara syftet och frågeställningarna genomfördes en kvalitativ intervjustudie där tio individer som klassificerade sig själva som HBTQ ingick. Varje enskild intervju spelades in och transkriberades. Det är individernas egna upplevelser som varit i fokus för undersökningens analyser och tolkningar och dessa bearbetningar utgör därmed studiens resultat.ResultatResultatet i studien visar att HBTQ-individer påverkas av de oskrivna heteronormativa ideal och normer som finns vid motionsanläggningar runt om i Stockholmsområdet.

Mitt kandidatarbete är ett undersökande och utmanande av unga kvinnors självbild i förhållande till upplevda krav och förväntningar, samt normativa föreställningar om hur en kvinna ska vara. Jag vill, genom konstnärlig/konsthantverklig gestaltning i materialen keramik och glas, lyfta fram och bejaka det otillåtna som ?inte får finnas? och låta det utgöra det vackra. Att inte vara till lags, inte rätta sig efter vad andra tycker utan öppna upp för att skapa sina egna ideal. Att våga ta den plats man vill ha; högljudd eller tyst, motbjudande eller attraktiv.

I min undersökning har visats att balans är ett nyckelord. Balans mellan magasinens upplevda värde och dess pris. Balans mellan reklam och annat innehåll. Balans mellan lyx och alldaglighet. Jag har sett tydliga paradoxer, dels i magasinens innehåll, dels hos konsumenterna.

Facebook is the most widely used social media in Sweden. It allows the user to easily share the latest from their everyday life, their opinions, as well as communicate with their acquaintances. According to the latest poll from the Foundation for Internet Infrastructure, 33% of teenagers in the ages 12-15 spend their Internet time being active on social media. 63% of these teenagers visit Facebook on daily basis.Herein, we examined how Facebook can be exploited as a complement to the education of the mother tongue. The investigation was performed with a questionnaire as well as a test group that has been supplemented with semi-structured interviews. In conclusion, the study showed promising results in the usage of Facebook with the education.

Det här examensarbetet undersöker hur den engelska fotbollen påverkat den svenska fotbollen. Det utreds även om den svenska fotbollshistorien har skapat en diskurs som fortfarande lever kvar inom den svenska fotbollsjournalistiken. Fem avsnitt av det svenska TV-programmet Fotbollskanalen Europa har analyserats med hjälp av det teoretiska verktyget diskursanalys. Sammanfattningsvis visar forskningsresultaten att det råder en diskurs i Fotbollskanalen Europa. Diskursen har starka kopplingar till den engelska fotbollens påverkan på svensk fotboll.

This thesis focuseses on archives and availability. The general public seem to have trouble finding their way tothe actual archives even though most archival institutions are easily accessed and provide interesting material.Maybe it is because archives are generally not as well known as other institutions within the ALM-area, eventhough the need to know ones history and identity is considered mainstream. Whether or not history takes off atthe archives is a complex question to answer. Archives, however, certanly contribute to our ideas of earlier timesand the concept of history.I have examined what archives do to make these contributions known to the general public and to whatextent they make their material avaliable. I have also looked into archival pedagogy since it is often connected toavaliability.

This report is about how accessibility in Eskilstuna's central trade street Kungsgatan can be improved, based on my background as spatial configuration designer, and by Eskilstuna's residents' opinions. In this report I explain what methods I have used, and how I attained my results. The goal of this project was to create ideal accessibility in the central part of Kungsgatan in Eskilstuna. Since Fristadstorget was rebuilt, and since the city is growing in terms of housing and residents, accessibility will in the near future be even more limited for visitors than it is today. We have done a qualitative and quantitative study about math problems on second­ary school students. The study is based on the diagnosis, treatment and training of teachers, about students who have math difficulties. The aim of this work is to obtain teachers ?perceptions about students? diagnosis, treatment / improvement and continuing education for students who have math difficulties. By having interviewed various teachers through surveys we have received answers to their concerns about the diagnosis, treatment and the importance of continuous training of teachers on students? mathematics difficulties.

In the Swedish school library discussion, the most prominent role of the school library haslong been that of cultural centre in the school, with the main goal being to encourage children'sreading. During the 90ies there were signs of a shift in focus to the role of information centre,giving active support across the whole range of the curriculum, in the independent researchingwork of the students. At the same time severe budget cuts caused great worries for the future.The interest for the school library media centres increased during this time, many differentorganizations said they wanted to fight for better school libraries. The purpose of the presentwork was to find out who they are, what they want and what their ideal school library lookslike. Fourteen organizations were studied, focus was on activities during 1995.

The purpose of this study was to gain a deeper understanding of teacher´s motives to engage in outdoor education in their teaching. A qualitative approach through interviews was used and a total of eight teachers were interviewed. The result showed that there were several motives to engage in outdoor education. These motives were divided into three main categories which were: to engage in outdoor education from teacher`s interest, to engage in outdoor education based on teacher`s perceptions of children's needs and to engage in outdoor education based on external factors..

The purpose of this study was to gain understanding of orthodox Christianity in Swedish educational material. The aim was to compare the presentation of orthodox Christianity towards pupils before the new curriculum and after. With the help of an analytical approach by Bergström and Boreu ?s and the interpretation strategy by Quentin Skinner, I have studied material used in school for the subject religion. I have limited my educational material in one way.

The aim of this study is to analyze the justification of a financial incentive that rewards students who rapidly finish their studies within the language education ?Swedish for immigrants? (sfi). Thereby, we want to see what assumptions are made about the students, and relate this to experiences of the education at a local level. We applied a text analysis on a government bill about the incentive, which showed that the deficiencies in the education are said to be caused by the students? lack of effort.
