The purpose of the study isto,based on network theory, systems theory and development ecological systems theory,understand parent?sexperiences of having children with autismspectrum, as well as understand the importance of social networksfor the parents. All of the intervieweeswere mothers. The results showed that it is important to parentsto have contact with other parents who are in the same situation as them. Many of the interviewees had a small social network.

Working horses in developing countries are mostly used for transportation. They are often owned by people with limited economical resources and lack of knowledge about how to take care of the horses and due to this the horses often suffer from problems such as dehydration, poor body condition, lesions and parasitic infections. The aim of this master thesis was to investigate if free veterinary care improved the health and hydration status of working horses in Nicaragua and it was performed as a part of a project called ?Free veterinary assistance for working horses and training of their owners as veterinary promoters in the Pacific coast of Nicaragua?. Five parameters were used to investigate whether free care improved the health of working horses in six towns along the Pacific Coast of Nicaragua.

Denna uppsats försöker besvara frågeställningen varför en del studenter vid Karlstads universitet väljer att ta ut sin examen vid något annat lärosäte. Vi belyser bytesprocessen som leder respondenterna i undersökningen fram till ett faktiskt byte, från det att tanken föds, till att studenten etablerar sig vid ett nytt lärosäte. Med hjälp av djupintervjuer hittar vi anledningar till varför byten sker, antingen av praktiska skäl eller så är det tron att en examen från ett äldre lärosäte, med högre status, ger ett försprång in i karriären.Utifrån teorier som valts inom exempelvis relationsmarknadsföring, image, kundnöjdhet och bytesbeteende- framför allt SPAT (Switching Path Analysis Technique) analyserar vi informationen och underbygger resultaten. Längs undersökningens gång har vi modifierat SPAT-modellen och lagt till flera variabler. Detta för att den ska passa in på just bytesprocessen hos högskolestuderande, vilket har givit oss en tydligare bild över processen.Det framkommer tydligt under studiens gång att flera av studenterna väljer att byta universitet för att ta ut sin examen vid ett universitet med i deras ögon högre status.

While the call for regulations against greenhouse gas emissions are louder then ever before, demand for oil is also at an all time high. Oil companies face the dilemma of making sound business without being perceived as environmental villains. In this essay I will examine how BP, one of the largest companies in the world, broke rank with the industry and devoted itself to being an environmental friendly oil company. The actions and motives of this change will be evaluated through up-to-date theories about company motivation to environmental adaptation. We see that BP:s transformation can be well explained through Simone Pulvers theory about the socially embedded company.

Syftet med detta examensarbete är att undersöka vilka faktorer som är avgörande för att skapa en pedagogisk och språkutvecklande undervisningsmiljö, för elever på en skola i ett djupt etniskt segregerat område med låg socioekonomisk status. Målet är att undersöka lärare och elevers syn på hur en sådan miljö bäst skapas, för att sedan jämföra insamlad data med aktuell litteratur. Som metod har jag använt mig av en empirisk undersökning, som är byggd på kvalitativa intervjuer med lärare och elever. Min undersökning visar att de tillfrågade lärarna är överens om att det krävs en strukturerad undervisning i en lugn arbetsmiljö för eleverna. De fastslår att segregationen skapar problem, eftersom svenska språket inte används i tillräckligt stor utsträckning.

The 17th century was a time of change in Sweden. During the century many of the Swedish laws were altered. In the beginning of the 17th century this alteration resulted in a more severe sentence for most of the committed crimes, but a mitigation of the sentence for some of those crimes was effected in the middle of the 17th century. The aim of this study is to see how two local courts in the judicial system during the mid 17th century in Sweden treated adultery, and those who committed the crime against the background of what the law regarding adultery stipulated. The source material used are court records from Fryksdals hundred and Jösse hundred in western Sweden, and laws regarding adultery during the 17th century.This research shows that the laws regarding adultery were in themselves not gender specific, and their main concern was the marital status of those involved.

Bakgrund: Daglig rökning och låg fysisk aktivitet på fritiden är betydligt högre bland individer med psykisk ohälsa. Syfte: Att undersöka dessa samband i ett köns- och socioekonomiskt perspektiv, samt eventuellt finna bakomliggande orsaker. Metod: Använder data från en tvärsnittsstudie (Folkhälsoenkät, Skåne 2000) med en representativ population (n = 11 304) i åldern 18-65. Huvudvariabler är självrapporterad daglig rökning och låg fysisk aktivitet, samt psykisk ohälsa som bedöms via General Health Questionnaire-12. Analyser gjordes med logistisk regression för att få oddskvoter och kontrollera för möjliga confounders. Resultat: Samband finns mellan psykisk ohälsa och daglig rökning, respektive låg fysisk aktivitet bland båda könen, och bland socioekonomiska grupper. Kvinnor har signifikant lägre oddskvoter gällande båda sambanden. Individer med psykisk ohälsa har fler ofördelaktiga levnadsvanor än de med ej psykisk ohälsa, oavsett socioekonomisk status.

Introduktion: I NNR 2012, har man höjt rekommenderat intag av vitamin D från 7,5 ?g/dag till 10 ?g/dag för personer från 2 år upp till 74 års ålder. Livsmedelsverkets matvaneundersökning Riksmaten bland vuxna 2010-11 visar att medelintaget av vitamin D i genomsnitt var 7,0 ?g/dag. Patienter med inflammatoriska tarmsjukdomar (IBD) har en högre risk för osteoporos på grund av medicinering med cortison samt brist på vitamin D.Syfte: Att undersöka om personer med IBD uppnår de nya höjda rekommendationerna gällande intag av vitamin D via maten och/eller kosttillägg och kosttillskott.

Bristen på manliga lärare i grundskolan har diskuterats i decennier. Hem- och konsumentkunskap (hkk) har beskrivits som kvinnligt kodat och bara var tionde lärare i ämnet är man. I uppsatsen undersöks därför hur manliga hkk-lärare beskriver vardagen i ett kvinnodominerat yrke. Studien bygger på semistrukturerade intervjuer med sju informanter.Merparten av männen har tidigare arbetat i restaurang- eller storkök, och för flera var ämnet ett biämne i lärarutbildningen. Informanterna visar glädje och stolthet i yrket och framhåller eleverna som drivkraft.

Detta examensarbete har genomförts vid Host Mobility AB i Göteborg. Host Mobility AB är ett ungt företag som utvecklar avancerade telematikdatorer och utvecklingsmiljöer för mobila applikationer. I dag erbjuder de flera olika telematikdatorer för olika tillämpningsområden och syften. Då Host Mobility endast har existerat i två år har de inte hunnit med att skapa en bred kundbas för sina telematikdatorer. Syftet med examensarbetet har varit att utreda och ta fram en systemlösning för ett mindre Fleet Management system vilket sedan skulle implementeras med Host Mobility AB:s telematikdatorer.

How do special educators work to include children with special needs in preschool? That was the question that our thesis proceeded from, and the purpose was to get an insight in the methods used by the special educators to achieve inclusion. Our questions were: ? Is Swedish preschool a place for inclusion? ? How are special educators work organized and focused? ? Which experiences do special educators have working with children with special needs in preschool, and what role do they mean that inclusion plays in this work? Our procedure in this enquiry was to perform semi-structured interviews with 5 different special educators in two different cities. Interpretation and analyis proceeded from three different theories: Urie Bronfenbrenner?s ecological systems theory, John Bowlby?s theory of attachment and Karsten Hundeide?s sociocultural theory. The result showed support for the idea of the Swedish preeschool as a place with many opportunities for inclusion. We have also seen how both money and political decisions has an impact on which possibilities the preschools receive to work with inclusion. In addition it became apparent that the methods used by special educators differed depending on both cities and districts.

The main goal with the master thesis has been to do a status evaluation of the chain machinery with its start chain and wire to secure the production on a short basis due to that a reconstruction is not planned at this time. An evaluation of the condition of the start chain and the rollers in the chain depository has been done. An offer has been requested for a new start chain and the evaluation of the start chains may be a basis for the decision taking. The production has been able to go on, although it has arisen some problems which have been difficult to find the causes for. There is no gathered ?picture? of the machinery status and a mapping of each machinery has been compiled of comprehensive logs.

Few helmets, dated to the Vendel period are known from Scandinavia and even fewer are known from the Viking age. Paradoxically, picture stones and sagas frequently tell about these objects as if they were very common, something that is contradicted by the archaeological material. The purpose of this thesis is to examine different literary sources and compare these to the archaeological materials and by doing so, gets a clearer picture about the emergence, use, function and of the late Iron Age helmets in Scandinavia..

This paper treats George Dickies institutional theory of how to define art. Some alternative theories and their originators are also introduced. According to Dickie something is art because it has been created against a background of an already existing artworld. Dickie has formulated his theory in two different versions, ?the earlier? and ?the later?, which differ somewhat in their design.

Siblings of persons with disabilities tend to be sidelined and not get the same attention in the same amount as the child with the disability gets, both by the parents and the society. Previous research in this area is limited and siblings of people with disabilities and their experiences of support needs to be explored. The purpose of this paper is to learn about support for siblings of people with disabilities in terms of both adult siblings own experiences from his childhood and from practitioners experience. Six qualitative interviews with four adult siblings of people with disabilities and two professionals were interviewed. Systems Theory and Bronfenbrenners ecological model has provided the theoretical basis for the essay.
