Pedagogers erfarenheter av att arbeta med ett kartläggande verktyg : En studie från en gymnasiesärskola

The purpose of the studyfocuses onhow teachersatan uppersecondary school, studentsin the autismspectrum,describetheir experiencesof working withmappingtools, Nylander(2012).Inmy research questionsIstarted fromthe teachers? descriptions of their experiences of mapping procedures, if the outcome ofthe mapping hasinfluenced theteachers'educational work and ifmappingcould contribute tothe visibilityandclarification of the student´s functioning in aschool context.As the study is based on five interviews in which teachers reflect on their experiences from the tool of mapping, the socio-cultural perspective where learning takes place through interaction with the environment became a framework to build from. The method has been interviews based on a qualitative research interview. By using interviews, I was able to capture the diversity of the interviewees? experiences described from the basis of an interview guide.

At present indoor tethering of dairy cows is still common but is not predicted to take part of modern dairy production. When conducting scientific studies of cattle it is generally necessary to tether the animals to maintain a controlled environment. Studies confirm that tethering and confinements of cattle severely affects the development of stereotypies in cattle. The feeding regime and feeding level have an immense affect on the stereotypi level in cattle. The aim of this experiment was to study dairy heifers that had never been tethered before the start of the experiment, to evaluate the affect of tethering on the development of stereotypies and the impact of the feeding regime on the behavior of the animals. Sixteen dairy heifers were tethered in a tie stall and divided in two groups with different treatments. Heifers in treatment E were fed restrictedly with silage and treatment EH was fed with the same amount of silage but also straw ad libitum.

Ät- och sväljningsproblem efter stroke : En litteraturstudie om äldres upplevelser av matsituationen efter stroke

Inledning: En vanlig missuppfattning är att feta individer är lata och inte vill försöka uppnå viktkontroll, eller gå ner i vikt. Syfte: Identifiera faktorer, vilka respondenterna uppfattar påverkar viktuppgång som upphov till övervikt och fetma hos sig själva samt hos andra individer. Urval: Fyra kvinnor och två män i åldrarna 39-50. Ingen respondent har varit överviktig som barn, men har någon gång efter 18 års ålder upplevt fetma. Metod: Studien har en kvalitativ forskningsansats där semistrukturerade intervjuer har använts för att ta reda på respondenternas uppfattningar kring fenomenet viktuppgång.

The large-scale soy cultivation has negative consequences for the habitat of local populations because of the intensive use of pesticides and the destruction of rain forests and eco-systems. GM soya, varieties are often used. The majority of Swedish people, however, do not want GM products in their food. It will be hard in future to ensure GM free food, particularly foods that come from countries where GM crops are grown on a large scale. It is very difficult to avoid cross- contamination when both GM and non-GM crops are grown in the same area.

Licensierade vårdhundar som komplement till omvårdnaden av barn med Autismspektrumtillstånd

Syftet med föreliggande litteraturstudie var att beskriva på vilket sätt licensierade vårdhundar kan fungera som ett komplement i omvårdnaden av barn med autismspektrumtillstånd. Syftet var också att beskriva kvaliteten av artiklarna utifrån den metodologiska aspekten urval. En litteraturstudie med deskriptiv ansats genomfördes utifrån två artiklar med kvalitativ ansats, två artiklar med kvantitativ ansats, fyra artiklar med kvalitativ ansats och kvantitativa mätningar, samt två artiklar med kvantitativ ansats och kvalitativa inslag i form av observationer. De inkluderade artiklarna hade publicerats mellan åren 1989 och 2013. De databaser som användes för artikelsökningen var Academic Search Elite, Cinahl och PubMed med sökorden: Dogs, Child, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Animal-assisted, Service dogs, Autism samt Therapy Dogs.

Bakgrund: Anorexia Nervosa och Bulimia Nervosa är de två främsta ätstörningarna enligt medicinsk praxis. För att förstå en lidande människas verklighet är det av vikt att ta del av dennes livsvärld, samt känsla av hälsa, välbefinnande och lidande. Hur en människa påverkas av sin ätstörning är individuellt, och sättet människan påverkas av sin omgivning är således olika för alla. Syfte: Studiens syfte var att belysa hur människor med ätstörning erfar sin omgivning. Metod: Studien har en kvalitativ metodansats och baseras på tre skönlitterära böcker.

Med Personen i Centrum - Sjuksköterskors uppfattningar om att vårda patienter med ett palliativt vårdbehov på en akutkirurgisk vårdavdelning

Introduction: On the surgical wards in most hospitals in Sweden patients with different surgical needs are cared for. Patients with gastrointestinal conditions are, for example, nurtured alongside patients with urological disorders or patients in need of observation for head trauma. When the nurse, in addition to these patients, have to care for patients with palliative care needs can be perceived as problematic for nurse and patient alike.Purpose: The purpose of this study is to explore nurses' perceptions of care for patients with palliative care needs on an acute surgical ward, based on a person-centered perspective.Method: A focus group interview was conducted with the strategic selection of nurses from two acute surgical wards in a county hospital in western Sweden. The data from the interview were analyzed with qualitative directed, deductive content analysis with person-centered care as a theoretical framework. The theoretical background shows that person-centered care includes partnership, participation and structured documentation.Results: The results of this study show that even a fourth category, organization, emerged and needed to be reported.

Huvudhalscancer och livskvalitet : Patientens skattning av livskvalitet innan och efter strålbehandling

Introduction: Each year 1200-1300 patients are diagnosed with head neck cancer. Treatment that involves radiotherapy can cause severe side effects for example trismus that affects quality of life.Purpose: To study health-related quality of life in patients who have undergone radiation treatment for head and neck cancer and participated in a intervention group who received training intended to prevent trismus or in a control group who received standard treatment.Method: This is a prospective study in which data is collected from 66 patients participating in a randomized study aiming to evaluate a training program to prevent trismus. Thirty three participated in the intervention group and thirty three in the control group. Both patient groups assessed health related quality of life (HRQOL) with EORTC QLQ C30 and QLQ-H&N35, at start and end of the radiation treatment, and at 3 and 6-months after completing radiation treatment.Results: There is no difference between the intervention and control groups regarding symptoms, functional status and global health, except for intake of nutritional supplements.  For both groups almost all scales measuring HRQOL deteriorated under the radiation treatment. However, 3 and 6 months after end of radiotherapy HRQOL had improved and had returned to the baseline values.

Twelve women with hearing loss was asked to complete a questionnaire, with open questions, regarding communication difficulties in health care situations.Sample: For the literature review, scientific papers were selected via the database, PubMed using relevant keywords. Seven were selected for closer review. For the survey study twelve women were asked to participate which ten of those responded.Results: The study of literature shows that communication difficulties occur in public health care between patients with hearing loss and the nursing staff.

Bakgrund: Psykisk ohälsa har under de senaste åren gått om rörelseorganens sjukdomar som främsta orsak till långtidssjukskrivningar i Sverige. Psykisk ohälsa innebär en försämrad livs­kvalitet för de drabbade och leder till stora samhällskostnader. Forskning krävs för effektivare sjukgymnastiska behandlingsmetoder vid psykisk ohälsa.Syfte: Studiens syfte var att undersöka förändringar avseende ångest, depression, stress och kropps­liga symtom hos patienter som deltagit i gruppbehandling i Basal KroppskännedomTM (BK) i kombination med Mindfulness (MF).Metod: Studien genomfördes med ?single group design?. Mätningar av grad av ångest, depression, stress och kroppsliga symtom utfördes före och efter gruppbehandlingen med formulären HAD, SCL-90 och SCI-93.Sammanlagt behandlades åtta grupper under perioden 2008 ? 2010.

The importance of good and ergonomically designed tools in pig stables can probably reduce the risk of suffering from musculoskeletal disorders (MSD). Svenska livsmedel - varför? : restaurangers, grossisters och offentlig upphandlares inställning till livsmedel från Sverige

The background of this research is that Swedish food products have hard to compete at the home market, depending on imported food products that increase more and more for every year that pass by. The ethic values LRF associate with Swedish food products, many customers have hard to put in relation with condition of foreign agriculture. Most customers today inquire high quality, safety and convenience in the food which they are eating. The source of their food seems to have less meaning. Many restaurants and bigger households appreciate Swedish food products and wants to buy them but price differences against foreign wares are to high. We have done oral interviews with wholesale dealers, restaurants, public purchasers and with different market organisations, there we have discussed buying strategies, the way they see the primary producer, the conscious of guests, choice and attitudes to Swedish and foreign products, distribution of power in the food market chain and to what position and suspension, they want the ranks of suppliers to have. The result shows the share of imported wares within restaurants and bigger households are at a high level and will continuing increasing. Within these sectors the final consumer in many cases put less effort in the origin of the raw source of food.
