For nearly twenty years people have been talking about Product models, but given that the building industry is so conservative, it is hard to implement new working methods. Product models are these days known as Building Information Modeling, BIM. People often say they work with BIM but they often forget the most important part, the information. A 3D model should be linked with characteristics and information. Information that can be invaluable for the facility manager.We have a vision that in the best of worlds the facility manager would be able to "walk" into the model and see what kind of installations are inside the wall or in the roof.

This essay is focused on the re-use during the Bronze Age of the Stone Age passage grave RAÄ 85 in Mysinge, Öland. To increase the knowledge of the phenomena of re-use in general and that which occurred in Mysinge passage grave in particular I?ve looked at other forms of re-use on Öland and the re-use of passage graves in Falbygden. The research has been limited to the Bronze Age. My goal has been to see what this might tell us about the relationship people during the Bronze Age had towards the abstract subject of ?non-existence?, in other words death.

The thesis explores the phenomena of historic school gardens connected to elementary schools on Gotland, Sweden. Gotland had the highest percentage of school gardens connected to the elementary schools in Sweden, and by investigating this area much can be learned about the Swedish conditions. The study focus on the period in time when the school gardens were most frequent and used the most, to the point in time when they start losing ground. To bridge over the past to the present the thesis also investigates what is left and play with the thought of possible ways to treat the remains. The main question for the thesis is: How could a school garden on Gotland be constructed and be used 1907 ? 1947?And a follow up question is: What could still be there today and how can/should the remains be treated and conserved? The thesis begin with an overview look at the school gardens of Sweden, closes in with on Gotland and completes with a deeper investigation of two examples of school gardens; Bunge and Stenkumla elementary schools.

It is a well known archaeological concern that the remains of human bones left from the bronze age and early iron age Scandinavia are not nearly enough to represent the estimated population of the time. Furthermore the bones of each find rarely represent a whole individual. The majority of the bones must have been disposed of somewhere else, possibly scattered in running waters or in the fields, where they have evaporated or are securely hidden from archaeological excavations.This thesis deals with the grave concept and the problem in using a word that is so very clouded by its modern, western meaning. It also offers an alternative explanation to why the bones are handled the way they are and why they are found in such awkward contexts..

This thesis is a study of how Norse religion and early Christianization is presented in three Swedish museum contexts. Empirical studies of the exhibitions relating to religion have been conducted at The Historical Museum in Stockholm, The Museum of Gotland and Östergötlands Museum and interviews with the museum staff compliment the empirical data. The concept of religion has been problematized to facilitate the analysis. The result of the study is that there are tendencies to make a hierarchical order between the different religions and that Christianity is an organized religion while the Norse religion is semi-organized..

This bachelor thesis engages in the question of silence in the writings of Fenno-Swedish modernists Mirjam Tuominen and Gunnar Björling, silence being understood as both a poetic theme and a question of literary form. Alongside this exposition runs a discussion about the possibilities and impossibilities of interpretation in the field of academic literary studies. This query is connected to the different ideological positions of the two writers, conjoined by ideas about anti-comprehensibility. As a consequence the Norwegian pension system will not be able to provide for these future pensioners. Det här examensarbetet undersöker hur fem lärare arbetar med högläsning i grundskolans årskurs fyra till sex. Studien är kvalitativ och syftet har varit att utifrån ett didaktiskt perspektiv ta reda på hur lärare arbetar med högläsning i skolan. Urvalet för studien har förutom lärare på mellanstadiet varit skolor som har ett fokusbibliotek detta för att undersöka om dessa har haft inflytande på arbetet med högläsning. Underlag för studien har skapats genom intervjuer med verksamma lärare.Resultaten visar att samtliga lärare arbetar med högläsning främst på två sätt, dels när läraren läser högt och dels när eleverna läser högt. Förutom att bara högläsa använder lärarna olika metoder på ett varierat sätt.

This study examines the in-game encyclopaedia Codex as it appears within the videogame Mass Effect. The purpose of this study is to analyse the Codex with emphasis on how the reading process is affected by the videogame medium. In this regard the study seeks to uncover what characterises the Codex as a fictional encyclopaedia, what it entails and how it interacts with the rest of the game. The theoretical basis of this study is derived from a combination of the writings of Wolfgang Iser concerning the process of reading, Jesper Juul's writings on the relationship between games and narratives, and the concept of intermediality as discussed by Hans Lund and Jørgen Bruhn.      This study is based on a close examination of the PC and Playstation 3 versions of the videogame Mass Effect, created by Bioware, with particular emphasis placed on the Codex. Mass Effect is a science fiction third-person shooter and RPG set in a future where mankind has begun interacting with aliens civilizations and colonising new planets.

The purpose of this thesis has been to increase the availability the exhibition text at Eskilstuna Art Museum to make it easier for the target group to read and understand them. To get answers to my questions, I have studied relevant theories and methods, including textual analysis of the current exhibition texts.
