I Sverige insjuknar ca 25-30.000 personer i stroke varje år och vanliga bestående symtom kan vara halvsidig kroppsförlamning, muskelsvaghet, okoordinerade rörelser och ökad muskeltonus. Styrketräning efter stroke har visat sig ge positiva effekter av muskelstyrka och kan ge förbättrad balans och funktionell förmåga. En ökad muskelstyrka ses som en viktig aspekt vid motorisk rehabilitering. Syftet med studien är att kritiskt granska vetenskapliga artiklar gällande styrketräning av nedre extremitet för personer med diagnosen stroke. Studien utfördes som en litteraturgranskning med litteratursökningar i databaserna Academic Search Elite, AMED/webspirs, CINAHL/webspirs och Medline/PubMed.

Bakgrund: I en befolkning där medelåldern ökar finns risk för ett ökat antal äldre med demenssjukdom. Demens är ett samlingsnamn för sjukdomar som medför minnessvårigheter och personlighetsförändring, vilket i sin tur kan sänka livskvaliteten. Syfte: var att beskriva aspekter av vad livskvalitet kan vara för personer med demens på särskilt boende. Metod: Detta är en litteraturstudie med deskriptiv design. Nio artiklar som besvarade studiens syfte valdes från databaserna Cinahl och Medline.

Calculations are an important part of planning around a construction project. From concept to completion of the project calculation is a tool to try to predict the actual cost. During the production stage in particular, deviations occur which makes the actual cost different from the calculations.This thesis is done in collaboration with JM Residential Stockholm. The study includes a cost follow-up in which a comparison was made between the calculated production cost and actual cost for the five projects. The aim of the study was to observe the most common reasons that a project deviates from the calculated production cost and then summing these causes in a number of categories.

One of the most discussed archaeological subjects is the neolitisation, and the start of a neolithic lifestyle which is characterized by several significant events. The traditional view has been that settled people were cultivating and breeding, but this picture has been questioned and changed in later years. The development is principally based on two models; that already neolithic people immigrated and took over, or that the new lifestyle gradually developed out of the existing cultures. Southern Scandinavia was characterized by a settlement pattern with permanent settlements which were complemented by temporary special settlements, but in time more domestic settlements originated. On the British Isles the settlements didn´t consist of permanent agricultural settlements but instead did the people here move freely between several short term settlements.  .

This thesis deals with the question of how and to what degree Swedish history books for schools changed between the early 20th century and the 1960s. The theoretical foundation for this study is a perspective which treats historical accounts as narratives, bringing meaning and orientation to the present. According to this perspective, historical accounts may be divided into four different types of narratives, traditional, exemplary, critical and genetical. The basis for this division is how the narratives use the past to make the present understandable.The following conclusions are reached:That Swedish history books for schools have changed less, and in a moore gradual way than those dealing with general history. There is a growing use of genetical narratives at the expense of mainly exemplary ones.

The aim of this study was to develop, implement and evaluate a mindfulness- and acceptance-based smoking cessation program in group (MRG). MRG was developed into an intervention consisting of 6 group sessions during 35 days including individual homework assignments. 8 of 10 participants completed the program. In order to evaluate the effect of MRG a quasi-experimental design with pretest and double posttest (second posttest at 1 month) was chosen. At second posttest, 50 percent (of 8 completers) were non-smokers, and the rest showed a decrease in smoking at a rate between 45 and 75 percent.

The lake Spexhultasjön is a moderate humic mesotrophic lake that is not acidified. The fish fauna was investigated by using a standard method for sampling freshwater fish with multi mesh gill nets. The fish fauna was diverse with perch, pike, tench, common whitefish, and roach. Perch and roach dominated. There were few pikes.

The Christianisation of Sweden is not much about religion. Instead, there is much to be gained by looking at it as a colonial situation with changing social identities and power structures. This is evident by the prevalence of hybridisations in the archaeological material.Some of the material categories that show the clearest example of changes are the burials from the 9th century up until about AD 1200. This is exemplified by two different Iron Age burial sites in Stockholm county, Uppland, Sweden: RAÄ 59, Valsta, in Norrsunda parish and RAÄ 40, Lilla Ullevi, in Bro parish; They both show hybridisation by involving older elements with newer ones during a time period when the church was not quite established in the region yet.The Christianisation of Sweden is a colonial situation, but the research tradition has often also used a colonial lens from the 19th and early 20th century in its approach to the period. This means that the same questions, interpretations and conclusions, often based on written sources, have been continuously reused for a long time, which has had consequences for the archaeology in Sweden..

Postoperativt illamående och kräkningar, PONV, har sedan anestesins begynnelse vållat patienten stort lidande. Tillståndet kan förlänga den postoperativa vistelsen och är en av de vanligaste orsakerna till oplanerad inläggning av patienter i samband med dagkirurgi. Syftet med föreliggande arbete var att undersöka den förebyggande effekten av akupressur som ensam intervention eller i kombination med viss farmakologisk antiemetisk terapi vid postoperativt illamående och kräkningar hos vuxna patienter efter allmänkirurgi. En systematisk litteraturstudie genomfördes och tio vetenskapliga artiklar inkluderades och kvalitetsbedömdes. Sökning utfördes i databaserna PubMed, EBSCO HOST och Cochrane Library.

Vid dysfagi är pneumoni en vanlig komplikation som ger ökade kostnader för vården, ett ökat lidande för patienter samt leder till fler dödsfall. Omvårdnadsåtgärder som minskar risken för pneumoni är därför av betydelse att identifiera. Syftet med denna litteraturstudie var att i vetenskapliga artiklar identifiera omvårdnadsåtgärder sjuksköterskan kan tillämpa som minskar risken för pneumoni vid dysfagi. I tio vetenskapliga artiklar utlästes sex kategorier via databearbetning. I resultatet identifierades att vinkeln på ryggen i sittande läge var viktigt att ta hänsyn till, användningen av vätskor med låg viskositet hade en förebyggande effekt och en intervention där hakan fälldes ner mot bröstet vid sväljning skyddade mot aspiration.

AbstractThe purpose of the study was to examine if manual signs used as support to spoken and written language can be a god mnemonic for learning of word-pictures. I performed my study as an experiment in which I made a Memory game with word-pictures. I played the game with the children twice. The first time, we played without manual signs and the second time I used sign as a support. I observed the children and noted the words they learned to read with and without the support of manual signs.

Project management has been a very popular way of conducting information system development in the past years. Among all major information system developing companies today, almost everyone work in some form of project management. Our objective with this study has been to find out if there are any problems that begin in the early part of the project. Problems that, if they aren?t solved directly, can become bigger problems later on in the project.

Funktionell fotledsinstabilitet, FAI, beskrivs som en känsla av att foten ger vika. Vid FAI skadas fotens strukturer och skapar då instabilitet, nedsatt proprioception, styrka och muskelaktivitet. Rehabiliteringen av FAI syftar till att återställa den funktionella stabiliteten. Syfte: Syftet med studien var att granska den vetenskapliga litteraturen avseende effekterna av rehabilitering på funktionell fotledsinstabilitet. Metod: Litteratursökning skedde i fem databaser, och totalt 170 artiklar hittades, varav 12 inkluderades.

In my study I have participated at the Fifth Dimension / Active Worlds site in Villa Gymnastiken in Ronneby, where I have worked both as an assistant to the project leader and as a researcher, but also as a participant together with the children. The children are working in a virtual world called Femtedim, created in a internet-based program named Active Worlds Education Universe. The Femtedim-world are bridging together two physical worlds in Ronneby and Copenhagen. My main focus is on an intervention that occurred in the 12th of March when the research-team in Copenhagen, which runs the project in Denmark, decided to create a new challenge for the children since some of them started to get bored. They added gravitation to the Femtedim-world, which lead to a few different reactions among the children. Most of the children didn´t like it and were very hostile towards the idea that they would not be able to fly around freely in the Femtedim-world.

Psykisk ohälsa är idag den främsta anledningen till längre sjukskrivningar, något som leder till negativa konsekvenser för både individ och samhälle. Internetbaserad behandling med kognitiv beteendeterapi har visat sig effektivt vid många former av psykisk ohälsa men det saknas kunskap om dessa behandlingsmetoders effekt vad gäller att främja arbetsförmåga och minska sjukskrivningstid. Studiens syfte var att undersöka om en vägledd individanpassad internetbaserad KBT-behandling kunde minska psykisk ohälsa och förbättra arbetsförmåga för deltagare (n=10) med både psykisk ohälsa och nedsatt arbetsförmåga. Behandlingen sträckte sig över 10 veckor och testades i en öppen okontrollerad studie. Resultatet gav ett visst stöd för att interventionen kan minska psykisk ohälsa men inget stöd för att interventionen ökade den globala funktionsnivån eller arbetsförmågan.
