Project management has been a very popular way of conducting information system development in the past years. Among all major information system developing companies today, almost everyone work in some form of project management. Our objective with this study has been to find out if there are any problems that begin in the early part of the project. Problems that, if they aren?t solved directly, can become bigger problems later on in the project. Our study has been a qualitative study, based on theory gathered from different known researchers and also interviews with people that have several years of experience in the field of information system development. In general we can conclude that loss of important communication and failure in communication are big problems when working in projects. Also cultural differences between countries and people seem to be big problems when working with people from different parts of the world.
