Det är idag vanligt att företag outsourcar drift, förvaltning och utveckling av sina IT-system till större konsultföretag. Detta görs bland annat för att uppnå effektivisering genom att ta del av stordriftsfördelar som väntas medföra en kostnadsbesparing för företaget. Andra orsaker är kvalitetsförbättring, kompetensförsörjning och flexibilitet. Det finns många strategiska mål som skall uppfyllas och dessa bygger på ett partnerskap där många inblandade individer skall samarbeta. Vi tror att huruvida en outsourcing fungerar eller inte avgörs i samarbetet mellan beställare och utvecklare och att ett dåligt fungerande samarbete kan generera stora kostnader.

I Europa har det under en längre tid pågått diskussioner angående ett nytt generellt avgiftssystem för tung trafik. Tyskland, Österrike och Schweiz har redan kilometeravgiftssystem i drift. Många andra länder i Europa planerar också att införa liknande system. Finansdepartementets vägtrafikskatteutredning (VTU) lade år 2004 fram ett förslag om ett införande av kilometerskatt i Sverige.I alla system för upptagning av kilometerskatt finns en risk för att fordon försöker smita undan betalning, detta gör efterlevnadskontrollen till en viktig fråga. Examensarbetet syftar till att utveckla en eller flera modeller, för att på ett kostnadseffektivt sätt placera ut kontrollpunkter för ett svenskt kilometerskattesystem.

Idag möter sådana flygplan stora problem runt om i världen och har svårt att konkurrera med de nyare varianterna. Anledningen till detta är att de har blivit alltmer oekonomiska och icke miljövänliga på grund av den höga bränsleförbrukningen och den ständiga prisökningen på bränslet. En annan faktor som gör situationen ännu svårare är tillgången på bränslet ( Avgas 100 LL ) både i Sverige och runt om i världen.För att man ska kunna hålla flygplanet i drift, så anser man att den bästa lösningen är att byta motorn till en annan typ som ska gå på en typ av bränsle som är billigare, lätt åtkomligt samt har lägre bränsleförbrukning och miljövänligare.  Metoden som används i denna rapport har gått ut på att undersöka marknaden för att samla information om val av ny motor och att ta kontakt med berörda myndigheter för att kolla upp vad lagen säger, att jobba med dokumentationer och att ansöka om nya certifikat.
