We studied the initial process of reading, with a focus on typography, whether it ispossible to increase childrens lust to read in the age six to seven years old, byadjusting the typography and graphic design. We conduct this study through qualitative and quantitative studies, mainlyinterviews with a main focus on children in this particular age were used. In additionto the interviews a questioniare were sent out to a selection of students. The studyalso contained an interview with a pedagogue as well as studies of the current andexisting textbooks and teaching aids that is used on the school we are looking into.During the study we consulted educated pedagogues to get an understanding of thechildren and their learning and to be able to approach them in a suitable way.The theories we have been using were mainly from a typographic point of view.Other areas we explored were theories about reading processes. This study showedthat every child needs a method that is suitable for them and that the materialprovided today is typographically inconsistent. The childrens and teachers needs andwishes in typography did not correspond with the current teaching aids design. From this study the followning points were made about how to design a textbook forchildren in the first grade:? The typeface should be a sans serif.? The point size should be bigger than 12 points.? Text should be aligned to the left.? Sentences should be short without becoming abstract.? To maintain focus on the text the layout should be simple and unbarked.? The format should be designed after the pourpose of the publication, forexample when it is a complement to the textbook, the format should be of suchcharacter that it is easy for the children to bring home.? There should be a typographical consistency through all of the materialsprovided to the children..

The aim of this study was to explore how young students can be taught during their first year of learning English towards the A1 level according to The European Framework of Reference for Languages, and how the students understand their own learning. The study was carried out in two different classes but with the same teacher, who is qualified to teach English to young learners. The result is based on the analysis of a total of twelve observations of English lessons in two classes in school year one and eight group interviews with the students. Recurrent ingredients through all lessons were activities such as listening to teacher talk, watching films or film clips, singing songs and doing rhymes, using drama activities, talking about the meaning of learning English, practicing guessing competence and learning new vocabulary. The teacher consistently talked about and taught different strategies for language learning.

The Squares Family is a game developed as a learning aid in mathematics. With its graphical representation of the decimal system, the four basic arithmetic operations and positive and negative numbers together with a learning agent as pedagogical approach, the game?s primary purpose is to motivate students in their learning of mathematics. Although the game is strictly based on mathematical rules it attempts to encourage students to play and work with math without experiencing it as mathematics as this is initially not obvious. The game being internationally tested on normal performing students, this project introduced the game to six Swedish students who experience low motivation for and/or difficulties in mathematics.

The meaning of this study is to see how a suspected murderer is presented in the Swedish newspapers Expressen and Falu Kuriren. We want to see how two Swedish newspapers, a local- and an evening paper, presented Anders Eklund, who killed the ten year old girl Engla Ho?glund in 2008, from the day after her disappearing and almost a month ahead.When we analysis the resolution to the study we could see that both papers presented Anders Eklund like a convicted murderer after he admitted the murder of Engla Ho?glund, even if the court had not sentenced him yet. Even when Anders Eklund was anonymous, you can through the various denominations witch were produced in the papers speculate on who the murderer is.Even that it is a case study, we can see with the previous research tends that a suspected murderer is produced in this way in Swedish newspapers. We could also see that the evening paper where more likely to present sensation and drama to the texts than the local paper did. .

Syftet med undersökningen är att undersöka hur grundskollärare och fritidspedagoger samarbetar. I uppsatsen kommer samarbetet mellan skola och fritidshem att belysas. Det kommer att undersökas vad som fungerar bra och vilka eventuella brister som kan finnas i samarbetet mellan grundskollärare och fritidspedagoger. För att klargöra syftet kommer det att undersökas vilka synsätt som finns i yrkeskategorierna när det gäller samarbete mellan skola och fritidshem. Vidare kommer det att undersökas hur fritidspedagoger och lärare delger varandra sina kompetenser.

Abstract ? Noblesse oblige: a roleplaying gameDuring the 17th-century the Swedish nobility was forced to deal with a number of new challenges. They reached the height of their power, but also began their downfall. How did the nobility?s ideal come to be in the face of this? Can we in these ideals find the duties and obligations of the nobility? And if we can, how can a roleplaying game be made out of the historical facts? A roleplaying game meant for educational means, well suited for the classroom and teachers, capable of stimulating the young minds and offering them an in depth understanding of how the nobility?s minds moved.

It has been shown in various research contexts that action programs do not always work as they should, even though there are clear guidelines on how the action programs should be designed and used. The aim of this study is to illustrate which processes that occur before an action program as well as how these processes lead to action that will give the student the support he or she needs. Through qualitative interviews with eight teachers, I have tried to answer the questions that I created. I have tried to answer my research questions that I have made based on the purpose. The questions are; What type of inquiry will be done if a student risk to not reach the knowledge goals? How will the inquiry support the action program? In what way does the action program support pupils in special needs? The result of my survey show that the survey being done for an action program is very individual-focused and that the mapping rarely shows on the teachers role or school environment to students who fall into special needs.

Syftet med studien var att genom semistrukturerade intervjuer undersöka vilken betydelse förskollärare tillskriver sina egna intressen och erfarenheter i arbetet med estetik samt vilken uttryckform förskollärare anser som lättast och svårast att arbeta med. Semistrukturerade intervjuer valdes då det gav plats för följdfrågor och djupare intervjuer. Resultatet visar att förskollärares intressen och erfarenheter kan påverka hur estetik väljs att användas i förskolan. Resultatet visar även att förskollärare såg olika på vad som var lättast respektive svårast med estetik men det som ansågs lättast var musik och det svåraste var drama. Slutsatser som framkom utifrån studien var att förskollärarna ansåg sig vara medvetna om vad estetik innebar men att kunskaperna kring olika uttrycksformer var otillräckliga för att medvetet våga användas i verksamheterna.

The aim of the study is to find out what pre-school teachers perceived of the curriculum, regarding esthetic subjects. The study is built on the teachers thoughts and ideas about the esthetic work, and how it is supposed to help all children develop. How the teachers has interpreted the curriculum points on how they have chosen to work with the esthetic subjects. The study is based on interviews with six teachers, from two pre-schools. The material from the interviews has then been analyzed with theories and earlier research.The result shows that the teachers think that the esthetic expressions are a language, and that the pre-school is supposed to give the children the opportunity to experience different types, for example dance, music, drama and art.

Earlier studies shows that democracy within the preschool is an important and on-going work, but could implicate certain consequences. For example that goals regarding democracy and influence in the preschool, rarely is done in practice but instead remains just words on a paper. It could also mean that the pedagogues lack education and knowledge within the area, but also how they react to the influence of children. Preschool is expected to be a place for all children, no matter what luggage the child is carrying. The luggage is filled with the life experience, the personality and in this case the needs that the child has. The needs could be anything from nearness to physical and psychological disorders that requires more pedagogical attention.

Denna studie undersöker hur ledare för dramapedagogiskt arbete med utsatta barn och ungdomar upplever och beskriver sin ledarroll. Fokus ligger på hur de beskriver skillnaden mellan dramapedagogik och terapi men främst hur de beskriver och hanterar ett gränsland i en dramapedagogisk verksamhet som kan tippa över i en terapeutisk situation. Tre kvalitativa intervjuer och en mailintervju har gjorts med fyra olika kvinnor, med olika utbildningsbakgrund; dramapedagoger, socionomer och beteendevetare.I resultatet av de fyra kvinnornas beskrivningar utifrån frågeställningarna har tre aspekter kunnat utläsas som viktiga då det gäller att kunna hantera en dramapedagogisk verksamhet för utsatta barn och ungdomar, för att inte hamna i, eller för att kunna hantera att vara i ett gränsland mellan dramapedagogik och terapi. De tre aspekterna ärSYFTET, LEDARROLLEN samt FINGERTOPPSKÄNSLA.

Användningen av ljud skiljer sig åt mellan de olika filmgenrerna skräck, komedi, action och drama. Det finns vissa ljud som används oftare för att förstärka de känslor, som filmmakarna vill att vi ska uppleva i samband med vad vi ser i filmen. I denna uppsats analyseras ljudet i ett antal nyckelscener i vissa filmer. För att ta ut dessa nyckelscener användes Hollywoodmallen för hur man skriver film, såsom den beskrivs av Viki King. Genom att jämföra resultaten, även genom diagram, har jag upptäckt att metalljud från vapen och liknande, gör oss rädda.

Syftet med uppsatsen är att undersöka om forumspel kan användas som ett pedagogiskt verktyg i konfliktlösande syfte i en elevgrupp samt är i enlighet med det mål som finns beskrivet i Lpo94: ?Att varje elev utvecklar sin förmåga att göra och uttrycka medvetna etiska ställningstaganden grundade på kunskaper och personliga erfarenheter?.  Undersökningen är en kvalitativ fallstudie där aktionsforskningens modell utgör forskningsstrategin. Urvalet i undersökningen består av en homogen integrerad årskurs 1-2 klass. Resultatet från undersökningen visar att forumspel är ett användbart pedagogiskt verktyg i syfte att lösa konflikter.

Syftet med studien är att undersöka teaterlärares didaktiska syn på ämnet teater i gymnasieskolan och vilka faktorer som påverkar lärarnas arbete i deras strävan att nå sina pedagogiska visioner i praktiken. Undersökningen sker utifrån följande frågeställningar: Vilka pedagogiska visioner har teaterlärarna för sin undervisning i ämnet teater på gymnasieskolan? Vilka faktorer påverkar lärarna i deras strävan att nå sina pedagogiska visioner? Studien bygger på kvalitativa intervjuer och ett fokussamtal med tre gymnasielärare i teater. Den teoretiska utgångspunkten i undersökningen är sociokulturell teori. I analysen av intervjuerna ställs resultaten mot tidigare forskning med fokus på perspektiv på teater och drama.
