This is a report written for an examination project C-level, on the subject of energy. The examination project is a product of the FVB Sweden AB (district heating bureau). It started with a meeting with Stefan Jonsson FVB Sweden AB, were he explained the content of the project, and from this a presentation of the problem was made. The problem that needed to be solved was how they could control the valves in the system to provide heating to everyone in the system. The valves are often oversized so the pump in the heating plant would have to be enormous to be able to provide enough flow to be sufficient, if everyone in the system had there valves fully opened. I came up with two solutions to the problem, one was a wireless network that could keep track of the valves and the other solution was an extra sensor that was placed on the radiator.

Bakgrund: Hopphöjden är en viktig faktor inom volleyboll och kan vara direkt avgörande i spelsituationer. Drop jump (DJ) är en vanligt förekommande plyometrisk övning som används för att förbättra hopphöjden. Ett fåtal studier har påvisat den omedelbara effekten utav att implementera DJ i ett träningsupplägg. Syfte: Syftet med studien var att undersöka om ett set med fem repetitioner av DJ kan förbättra hopphöjden efter tre minuters aktiv vila. Avsikten med studiens upplägg var att det med enkelhet ska kunna implementeras i en matchsituation.

Sport is the biggest movement in Sweden and among youth is seen as the most important and one of the most prestigious leisure-time activities. Riksidrottsförbundet (RF) is the main organization of the Swedish sport movement. It receives funding from the government in order to represent and develop the Swedish sports clubs. The government?s choice to support sport within RF happens at the expense of other sports, for example skateboarding.

In hydropower plants it is necessary to always have local power supply. Therefore, the plants are equipped with batteries as stationary back up power. Vattenfall Vattenkraft is using lead acid batteries but has been investigating alternatives to replace them. The aim of this study is to investigate the potential of using Li-ion technology as back up power.The study showed that Li-ion batteries have many qualities. The Li-ion technology will decrease the space and maintenance demand.

Målet med examensarbetet har varit att ta fram teoretiskt underlag och en beräkningsmodell. Detta ska beskriva hur kabeltyp, kabellängd, kabelarea samt effektfaktor påverkar spänningsfallet över ett 400 Hz ledningssystem.Mätningar har utförts på två olika kablar som används i det aktuella systemet. En av kablarna var symm­et­riskt uppbyggd med 7 ledare, där respektive fas bestod av två ledare förskjutna 180° från varandra runt nolledaren. För att åstadkomma 115/200V 400 Hz, användes en 90 kVA frekvensomformare. Belastningen som användes var en resistiv, induktiv samt en kapacitiv belastning.

Populärkulturella fenomen når ut till ett stort antal människor och representationen av olikasaker blir således viktig eftersom det kan avspegla hur människor uppfattarolika ting. Syftet med min uppsats är att undersöka representationen av de trekvinnliga karaktärerna, Jules, Ellie och Laurie, i tv-serien Cougar Town. De teoretiska begreppsom står till grund för min analys är bland annat, representation somdefinieras i boken Genus, medier ochmasskultur skriven av Linda Fagerström och Maria Nilson och som AnjaHirdman också behandlar i sin avhandling Tilltalandebilder. Vidare har jag använt mig av begreppet postfeminism som både Karen Boyle (Massmedia and Society, 2005)och Karen Ross (Gendered Media, 2010) skriver om i sina böcker.För att undersökarepresentationen av de olika kvinnliga karaktärerna i tv-serien använder jagmig av Keith Selby och Ron Cowderys bok Howto study television. I deras bok finns olika steg att gå igenom för attkritiskt granska television, jag har vidare valt att fokusera på den narrativaoch konstruktionsanalysen med fokus på mise-enscène och den icke verbala kommunikationen samt klädkoderna.

For several years Uppsala University together with several companies has been involved in a WISENET project aimed at improving railway transport security. By placing a sensor system near the wheels of each wagon, the temperature of the bearings can be measured and transmitted to a collector placed centrally on the wagon. This in turn transmits the collected data to RFID receivers placed intermittently along the railway.As the signals are transmitted wirelessly, problems may occur as the antennas get dirty or coated with ice and snow. To determine the effects of these coatings, several tests were performed examining the reflection coefficient S11, the impedance Z11 and the efficiency eta of an antenna, and how they varied when various coatings were placed over the antenna. Examined coatings were ice, snow and water to determine the effects of weather, and various metal-based coatings: powdered iron both pure and partially oxidized, and iron ore granules.

Undersökningens syfte är att analysera de viktigaste dragen i den postmodernistiska estetiken, baserat på en läsning av 3 ryska författares verk, samt att klarlägga den ryska postmodernismens särdrag i jämförelse med den västerländska och slutligen reflektera lite grann över postmodernismens framtid. Min hypotes är att den tidiga ryska postmodernismen hade flera drag gemensamma med modernismen, medan den sena postmodernismen närmar sig realismen..

Denna uppsats har haft som ändamål att undersöka hur kvinnor i topposition beskrivs av media. Utgångspunkten har varit studier av medias bild av kvinnor i topposition på nationell nivå i Sverige, Storbritannien och USA. Även mediebilden av kvinnor i absolut topposition i internationell miljö, dvs. kvinnliga presidenter och statsministrar, har studerats. Det som undersökts är bland annat huruvida kvinnor i topposition har samma tillgång till media som män i motsvarande position och om de skildras utifrån genusstereotyper.

Projektets fokus var att anpassa en armatur (från LUXO Sverige AB) till den nya LED­tekniken (Ljusemitterande dioder). Under processens gång utvecklades olika funktioner för att öka armaturens flexibilitet i placering och ljusstyrning.Två koncept togs fram, en väggarmatur och en bordsarmatur, båda med teleskopfunktion och flexibelt ställbar arm. Armaturen kan placeras på nattduksbordet och har Luxos stilrena drag där formen följer funktionen med dekorativa detaljer.Dessutom finns ovanliga funktioner i belysningssammanhang som exempelvis en USB-kontakt. Resultatet av projektet blev en sängarmatur som har goda utsikter att bli den första Svanenmärkta belysningsarmaturen i Sverige..

Papers has the ability to disappear, a blog collects all in one place. Today, almost everything is digitized.This study has examined what a blog is and how schools and preschools can use it. The blog is used as a communication site for the preschools and school. This exam graduate work is made of three blog analysis, the analysis is made to see if the blogs can help the preschool and school to communicate wiht the parents.The theory I have decided to use in this study is the sociocultural theory.

Introduction and background: The 1990s crisis and the global financial crisis year 2008 shows the same indications that the property market was affected negative. The Swedish Property companies had a difficult time on the market when the crisis led to decreased property trade and financing problems for the Property companies. The Swedish property companies became less attractive on the market and contributed to a drop in prices on investment property.Purpose: The purpose of this essay is to examine if there is any relation between the Swedish Property companies impairments on their investment property and the global financial crisis year 2008.Method: The essay is based on a quantitative study where we examined Swedish Property companies? annual reports. We answered our questions and our purpose from the empirical data that we collected from the annual reports.Conclusions: The study resulted in that we found a correlation between the Swedish Property companies? impairments on their investment properties and the global financial crisis year 2008.

Denna undersökning uppmärksammar ett salutogent perspektiv där förändringar kan ses som möjligheter. Syftet är att studera de attitydrelaterade faktorerna som tankar, känslor och beteende för att se hur de kan förhålla sig till individers sätt att hantera förändringsarbete. Undersökningen är utförd på en avdelning på ett sjukhus i Skåne. Denbygger på reflexiva intervjuer och en enkät som mäter individernas KASAM, en indikator på förmågan att hantera påfrestningar. Fem personer deltog i undersökningen.
