This thesis has treated a three-axis robot which task is to serve a larger test machine tomove the modules to be tested, from the storage to the test site. The robot is composed ofthree linear actuators; two standard components of ball screw type and a custom-builtactuator of trapezoidal type. The work has mainly focused on the custom-built device to seeif it could be replaced with a standard component. Part of the work has been to look into thepicking tool and to see if there are any possibilities to improve its function.The report presents two different proposals which I decided to call Robot 1 and Robot 2 andthey aim to address the problems arising in the purpose-built linear unit and the X-axislinearity problems. Robot 1 focuses on eliminating the problems that arise around therobot's X-axis, with such simple means as possible and without making excessive materialchanges.

The goal of this thesis is to design an attachment between a duct and a pod. A pod is what could be compared to an outboard engine for larger vessels. The pod is placed on the outside of the ship?s hull and can rotate 360 ?. A duct is a large steel ring that can be placed around the propeller on the pod to increasethe propulsion force of the ship in lower velocities.

This bachelor thesis in tourism studies focuses on people's use of social media related to travel. The paper aims to provide a wider knowledge of tourist?s propensity to display destinations through social media and how they perceive others that display travelling. This is put in relation to the term of social status in order to find out if there is a possible link. The intention was to provide an insight into the phenomenon to contribute new awareness that destinations can exploit in their marketing.

Syftet med vår studie var att synliggöra hur pedagoger som undervisar i grundskolans tidiga år samtalar om undervisningen av matematikens användning i vardagen utifrån den socio­kulturella teorin. Gruppsamtalen utgick från rubrikerna konkretisering, individ­uali­se­ring, mate­matik och språk samt matematiksvårigheter kopplade till vardagsmatematiken. Vi använ­de oss av fokusgrupper som undersökningsinstrument. I studien ingick 13 peda­goger som alla undervisade i matematik på skolans lågstadium. Deltagarna i studien var verk­samma på fyra olika skolor i två olika kommuner.Undersökningens resultat bearbetades utifrån en hermeneutisk innehållsanalys.

The Bovine respiratory syncytial virus (BRSV) causes bronchiolitis and interstitial pneumonia, predominantly in calves, and is a major cause of bovine respiratory disease worldwide. In humans, BRSV is paralleled by the closely related Human respiratory syncytial virus (HRSV), an important cause of respiratory disease, most severe in infants.The clinical signs and pathology during RSV infection is caused, not only by the direct effects of viral replication, but also by the response of the host immune system. The immunopathology of RSV has long obfuscated our understanding of the disease, and development of effective treatment and vaccines will be very difficult until greater knowledge is gained.One of the components of the immune system that has come into focus in RSV research the last few years, is the Toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4). The TLR4 receptor is well known as the receptor that binds lipopolysaccaride (LPS), and initiates the host response to bacterial infection. Recently, it has been shown that the fusion protein of RSV also interacts with, and up-regulates the expression of, the TLR4 receptor.

During the period called Little Ice Age (1400 ~ 1900) the climate of northern Europe was in an annual year-basis overall colder than it was before and after that period. The numbers of short, cold and rainy summers and long, bitter-cold winters where often repetitive under the approximately 500-years the period lasted. In Scandinavia, the coldest time during this period is estimated to have started around the end of the 16th century and lasted to the beginning of the 18th century. Trees growing at the tree-line are limited by temperature for their annual growth and hence showing differences of growth during changes in the climate,  a method called dendroclimatology. The variations of growth can be read in the tree-rings either by analyze the width of the ring or by look into the density of the wood and is used to reconstruct past climates.

Syfte: Att utreda förekomsten av ögonrelaterade läs-och skrivsvårigheter hos skolbarn.Metod: Studien bestod av en enkät med ögonrelaterade frågor, ett läsförmågetest och kliniska tester. 45 barn i årskurs 5 och 6 deltog från en mellanstadieskola i Växjö. De kliniska testerna bestod av fri synskärpa på avstånd och nära, +1-metoden för utredning av dold hyperopi, forier på nära håll, ackommodations amplitud, konvergens närpunkt, stereotest och ögonmotilitet. Läsförmågan undersöktes med ett screeningstest så kallade Läskedjor, ett test för att bedöma elevernas lästekniska förmåga, ordigenkänning samt ordavkodning.Resultat: En signifikant korrelation hittades mellan bokstavskedjor och ordkedjor (r = 0,4 , p < 0,05). Eleverna ansåg sig inte ha ögonbesvär.

I en alltmer konkurrensmässig värld, där synbarheten blir allt viktigare, fyller public relations en viktig funktion i hur företag finner och behandlar relationer till sina följare. En ny trend är att utelämna information i kampanjer för att skapa förvirring och därmed få nyhetsvärde. Branschen är delad i huruvida detta är ett etiskt korrekt tillvägagångssätt. I denna studie undersöker vi, genom en fallstudie, hur kampanjer av detta slag dels ser ut men även planeras med syfte att skapa förståelse för eventuella för- och nackdelar med tillvägagångssättet. Studiens teoretiska inramning bygger på att med hjälp av förståelse kring kampanjplanering, medias dagordning och vikten av förtroende, ge insikt i hur en PR-kampanj skapar värde genom uppmärksamhet.

Syfte och frågeställningarSyftet med studien är att undersöka fyra idrottsföreningars syn på Handslaget, utifrån Stockholmsmodellen. Frågeställningarna är följande:1) Vem styr över Handslaget, d.v.s. vem har den organisatoriska makten?2) Vilka gynnas när idrottsföreningars och skolans fält korsas?3) Vilka konsekvenser kring idrottsföreningars engagemang i skolan framträder i Stockholmsmodellen?MetodI studien intervjuades fyra personer som var och en representerade olika nätverk och företrädde var sin idrottsförening. Intervjumetoden var av kvalitativ art med öppna frågor.  Intervjuerna sammanställdes och analyserades utifrån forskningsläge och teori. ResultatFöreningarna har en organisatorisk makt, i något nätverk är även kommunen styrande.
