An energy study has been performed on two blocks in an area called Gävle Strand. The buildings are owned by a tenant-owner?s association called brf Carolina and were built by the company Skanska 2008. The builder as well as brf Carolina are pussled by the fact that electricity use is higher than expected while heating is less. Skanska is also very interested in finding out how much heat recovery from stale exhaust air through a geo-thermal heat pump is contributing to the general heating requirement and energy balance in four out of the ten buildings located on the properties.To find possible answers to the higher electricity use a literature survey on user behaviour was conducted.

This master thesis consists of the creation of shock absorber models for percussive rock drills. A model of the rock was also developed. These models were connected to existing models of the rock drill to create a complete simulation of the rock drilling process.When the models had been created the rock model was evaluated by comparison with measured values from lab tests. The verified rock model was then used to evaluate the shock absorber models.Four new shock absorber concepts have been developed. Three of these have been modelled, while the fourth have only been sketched and described.The evaluation of the models showed the following:? Simulations of the single shock absorber don?t correlate to reality very well.

This master thesis is one part of a project, called ?StabSim?, with the purpose to develop a simulation model for the align and stabilisation system in main battle tank 122. The origin of this project is that it should be possible to make control analysis without risking any hardware. Besides that it will be easy to change components in order to investigate the behaviour of the system. The report includes modelling of tower and weapon mechanics and also the modelling of the synchronous motors, which control these.

Ordet upplevelse används idag av många företag i olika branscher för att beskriva företagets tjänsteutbud. Inom marknadsföring används upplevelser för att tränga igenom det tilltagande mediebruset och för relationsbyggande åtgärder. Syftet med uppsatsen är att undersöka huruvida eventbyråer profilerade inom relationsskapande event marketing använder begreppet upplevelse och vad det har för betydelse för deras verksamhet. Med ett hermeneutiskt förhållningssätt och en induktiv ansats har jag genomfört en kvalitativ intervjustudie baserad på intervjuer med sju eventbyråer. Studien visar att upplevelse som fenomen är en viktig effekt av relationsskapande event marketing, men att det finns en paradox ifråga om användningen och beskrivningen av begreppet.

SMC is in the process of developing a micro simulation model. The existing micro simulation model developed at Cornell University for US data, CorSim, is one of the fundamental parts for the new micro simulation at SMC. To develop the Swedish model, Swedish data on all individuals in Sweden during 11 years are also available. These data are organized in a database. This paper describes the process of rebuilding the database to a more useful structure.

This is a case study of Carlstad Comic Con 2011 and 2012.The purpose is to study the event in relation to a project management and a local culture policy perspective. This in order to analyze the organization of a popular culture event and see how such a local event may benefit Karlstad as a city. Besides studying the organization of Carlstad Comic Con and its outcomes I am sketching a short cultural history of popular culture media and its context within recent year?s globalization.The study shows that the events have had a great beneficial impact on the local industry; lacking any negative sides, and have put Karlstad in an international context which goes directly in line with the standard guidelines for project management of region culture policy. Concerning how to organize the event the organizers have not followed a strict project structure.

Mathematical models possible to simulate are of great importance in order to make successful projects in the aircraft manufacturing industry. An aircraft fuel system is very complex, containing pipes, tanks, orifices, valves and pumps. The principal of this thesis is using the tool Easy5, which no longer is considered reliable enough in terms of development and support. This thesis tries to evaluate the Modelica language as a possible alternative to Easy5. To make this evaluation, the components concerned in the fuel library in Easy5 are implemented to the Modelica language.

This master thesis studies how much the cycle time, i.e. the time it takes for an industrial robot to perform a given task, can be reduced if an extra degree of freedom (DOF) is added to the robot system. The extra DOF consists of a linear track, which is supposed to be used in an optimal way. The problem has been studied using simulations in the robot simulation tool RobotStudio. To be able to run an optimization in Matlab, with the RobotStudio simulation cycle time as the object function, communication between Matlab and RobotStudio has been set up with an interface written in Visual Basic.

At the department of Electronic Warfare Assessments at the Swedish Defence Research Agency in Linköping one of the activities is modelling and simulation of the duel between a robot and a target. The aim with this Master's thesis is to develop a simulation model of an hovering helicopter. First a theoretical description of the forces and moments acting on an helicopter is given. Then the equations of motion are derived. These equations are simplified to be valid only for a hovering helicopter and the result is a mathematical model.

Many traffic incidents are due to the driver?s lack of attention, resulting in dangerous lane departures, either sliding off theroad or into the oppose lane. These kinds of incidents often have serious outcomes, which has led to much effort being concentrated on preventing or lessening the damages when the incident is already a fact, for example by installing safety belts and air bags. These measures may be considered to be acts of so-called passive safety. Active safety on the other hand, means that the safety systems intervene before the incidents have occurred.

The Olympic Games is one of the largest mega events with its millions of visitors. The purpose of this essay is to study what is expected after the mega event has taken place in London.

ITT Flygt is a world leading company that mainly manufactures submersible pumps. A problem of ITT Flygt is that product development projects rarely manage to hold the estimated project time. It shows that something unexpected occurs in projects quite often, which results in delays. The delays can both be due to an optimistic time plan of projects and risks in product development projects which are not discovered at an early stage. This added with unforeseen delays makes it difficult for ITT Flygt to estimate the duration of their projects.The goal with the Master thesis is to examine a suitable method for simulation of project time.

Då företag idag är utsatta för ständig konkurrens gäller att dessa utformar sin marknadsföring för att passa de preferenser som dess målgrupp innehar och för att tränga igenom det brus dagens mediala samhälle kännetecknas av.Event marknadsföring har de senaste årtiondena uppmärksammats, dock är forskningen inom ämnet relativt ny och således har olika marknadsföringsteorier inte tidigare applicerats på events för att förstå dess genomslagskraft och effekt.Detta resonemang har lett oss till vår problemformulering:  Vilka skillnader och likheter finns mellan företagets och kundernas uppfattning av event marknadsföring?Studiens huvudsyfte är att kartlägga de faktorer som avgör ett events verkan på samtliga deltagare. Inom ramen för detta avser vi identifiera och beskriva de marknadsförings- och kommunikationsteorier som finnes lämpliga för att slutligen kunna ge våra synpunkter till företag som kan leda till en mer effektiv event marknadsföring.Studien är baserad på en deduktiv ansats, där vi testat befintliga teorier mot vekligheten samt hur dessa kan tillämpas på event marknadsföring. Dessa teorier har vi integrerat med varandra för att ytterligare förstå eventets komponenter på ett sätt som vi tidigare inte sett inom forskningen.Den datainsamling som skett under studiens gång är baserad på en kvantitativ metod. En enkätundersökning har gjorts på besökare av events för att skapa bredd i studien.
