In todays society the demand on companies to deliver better project management is crucial for them to survive. The higher demands from clients make older project management weak and unreliable. In the constructions sector more and more companies are created and the competition is higher than ever. The clients are aware of the higher competition in the construction sector. This has resulted that construction companies must now make their project management more efficient to create better projects and better relationship with clients. The purpose of this thesis arose from this problem in the construction sector.

In order to accomplish that a construction is correctly built, it is critical to obtain a well functioning control mechanism throughout the project. The way to enable this is not by having an independent inspector constantly at your side. Today it is praxis to use check lists and have people responsible of quality to make sure that these are followed. This is where discretionary inspections play their part. These among others are documents needed to com-plete the check list.

This study is based on a case study of Pilotprojekt Drevfjällen, a project whose ambition is tofind ways to secure nature conservation in a local context. This is promoted at governmentlevel, which says that a local connection is needed to achieve sustainable regionaldevelopment. The study, based on a theoretical background of the concept of governance,intends to evaluate whether Pilotprojekt Drevfjällen can contribute to a sustainable regionaldevelopment.This study is based on meeting documentations, semi-structured interviews with variousstakeholders in the project, field studies and participant observation at an informativemeeting. The region of interest, north Dalarna, was visited twice to obtain the specificconditions that Pilotprojekt Drevfjällen have. The interviews revealed positive attitude to theincreased dialogue and cooperation that Pilotprojekt Drevfjällen has meant for theparticipants.

Ett centralt tema i föreliggande uppsats är ordboksanvändning och informationsbeteende. Detta har tvärvetenskapligt undersökts utifrån en lexikografisk grund med bidragande inslag från biblioteks- och informationsvetenskap. Uppsatsens empiriska material utgörs av en kvalitativ studie i ordboksanvändning bland folk- och universitets­bibliotekarier. Resultatanalysen har givit tre dimensioner av ordboksanvändning: individuellt bruk, bruk i referenssituationer och låntagarbruk. Relaterat till två av informationsbeteendeprocessens komponenter, informations­behov och informationsuppsökning, varierar dimensionerna i intensitet och omfattning.

The aim of this thesis is to assess the strategic importance of Central Asia as a whole and interests of great powers in the region in particular within the theoretical framework chosen. The work shows Central Asia as an area of the New Great Game, analogue of the original Great Game which was played out between the British Empire and Tsarist Russia in XIX century. The parallels between the original Great Game and the New Great Game are drawn in order to understand the scope and the true intentions of the players of the latter one. Also, the security issues in the contemporary Central Asia are explored and analyzed to provide with the background for future predictions. Furthermore, the indirect purpose of the thesis is to examine whether the international system has changed from that of two centuries ago by comparing the structure of the international systems at the time of two Games.

The aim of this M.A.-thesis in social work is to problematize the assimilatoric concept of integration and its discourses in a postcolonial perspective in relation to social work in Denmark.As a support theory I use symbolic interactionism. By using these theories I show how the concept of integration and its discourses, when its aim is assimilatoric, can be understood and problematized with concepts as binary oppositions and hegemony.It is shown that the construction of the discoursive other is a useful term as an instrument of interpretation of power in general. The relevance to social work in relation to the social workers double powered positions, professional and cultural power to define 'the other', in social work with ethnic minorities is shown in relation to the post colonial perspective with support of symbolic interactionism. The white western world hegemony and the social workers power positions in relation to the clients fits to the theoretic frame chosen in the thesis.A second aim in this thesis is to point to new ways for social work and to the necessity to reflect over a globalized world characterized by international migration, ethnic relations and diversity..

Vårt syfte är att undersöka och beskriva pedagogers uppfattningar om bemötandets betydelse, dels i en grundskola dels på tre olika skoldaghem. Arbetet ger en översikt av bemötandets dimensioner, vad olika styrdokument säger, samt om vikten av ett positivt bemötande. Med stöd av fem intervjuer i grundskola och fem intervjuer på skoldaghem gör vi en beskrivning och analys av lärarnas bemötande av eleverna. Klassrummen består idag av elever från olika kulturer och med olika religiösa bakgrunder. Eftersom alla elever har olika relationer till religion är det också svårt, för de lärare som undervisar i religionskunskap, att ge en rättvis bild av någons religion. Vid de tillfällena är det viktigt att vara tydlig med att religion både är något individuellt men också något kollektivt, samtidigt som det inte bör ges en stereotypiserande beskrivning av en religion eller dess utövare. Vid stereotypisering är det dessutom vanligt att sambanden mellan kultur och religion inte framgår och det finns alltid en ökad risk för diskriminering. Flera forskare hävdar att religion bör förklaras genom olika kärnor eller dimensioner, istället för genom den traditionella sekvenseringen uppkomst, historia, texter, människosyn, och så vidare. Studiens syfte var att undersöka om det fanns några skillnader gällande medarbetarskap, arbetsmotivation och arbetstillfredsställelse mellan kommunal och privatanställda gymnasielärare. Enkätundersökningen (N = 88) genomfördes i en kommunal och en privat gymnasieskola. Resultatet visade att det fanns signifikanta skillnader mellan kommunal och privatanställda lärare i följande dimensioner: övervakning, samarbete, engagemang, extern reglering, tillfredsställelse med arbetskamrater och tillfredsställelse med chefen. Syftet med studien var att undersöka hur pedagogerna som arbetar med ASL bedömer att elevernas läsförmåga utvecklas i arbete med metoden. Läsförmågan definieras utifrån de fem dimensionerna vilka är fonologiskmedvetenhet, ordavkodning, läsförståelse, flyt i läsningen och läsintresse. Studien genomfördes med ett kvalitativt elektroniskintervjudokument som metod. Nio svar har analyserats varav tre på djupet. Resultatet i studien visar på att pedagogerna i stora drag är positiva till att metoden ASL bidrar till utvecklingen av elevers läsförmåga.

This study includes several purposes which are to describe the concept of working environment, explain who is responsible for its functioning and how the working environment should look like. Other purposes the study have is to investigate how the working environment is in both Swedish and the two investigated companies construction sites and to share some operators proposing measures for the shortcomings and problems that exist in the construction sector working environment. To achieve these purposes was a qualitative study made with unstructured observations, interviews and survey where three construction sites were observed. The result shows that the concept of the working environment cover many aspects and is essentially about the environment we live in and experience in our work and this environment can be both an indoor as an outdoor environment. In this work, the concept is divided into four areas; it is the physical, the ergonomic, the psychosocial and the chemical.

The purpose of this paper is to find the true meaning to the Swedish word "sinnesträdgård" as a fenonomen. This paper concentrates on the Swedish use of the word, because the term has different definitions in other countries. Our choice was a phenomenological method after reading literature on, and in relevance with, the subject without finding an answer to the question. According to our six informants - a politician, a project manager, two landscape architects and scientists, and two occupational therapists, the concept has not yet been defined. The results show that a "sinnesträdgård" is complex and means several things, but the main purpose of the concept and place is to stimulate all senses. We have discussed how to distinguish the concepts "sinnesträdgård", design garden and health garden, from each other as they all stimulate the senses.
