The method used to meet the objective was qualitative. The qualitative study was conducted with a hermeneutic basis, where individuals were asked to describe their experience of empowerment and how they feel affected of it. This thesis has a deductive approach, where existing theories dealing empowerment formed the basis for the design of interview substrate, which is then paired with the empirical evidence, based on this the conclusions was drawn.Result & Conclusion:What separates the different kinds of empowerment and how it affect the staff depends most of all on how the management chooses to communicate and share information with their staff.Suggestions for future research:A study regarding managers that works with different kinds of empowerment, and how that affects them, could be regarded as an interesting future research.Contribution of thesis:It shows that different kinds of empowerment affect the staff in different ways, which I made clear to the readers.Keywords:empowerment, thinking skills, relations and organizational - structure and theory.

As a result of a successful human development around the world an extensive urbanization of societies are taking place that are networked in various ways. In these networks, increased travel and digitization are central where individuals and organizations converge in a constant and immediate wireless and mobile technology flow. An example of this is Stockholm and its public transportation company Storstockholms Lokaltrafik (SL). Although most participate in most of the network society, SL is struggling with an audience that seldom travel with them: families with children. We intended to find out how the communication of SL´s digital platforms could get families to travel more with public transportation.

Under framtagandet av nya produkter måste ett antal prototyper tillverkas för att verifiera konstruktionen. För en metodingenjör som tar fram reparationsmetoder innebär prototyptillverkning att tankar som växt fram under utvecklingsfasen kan provas för första gången på en fysisk produkt. Detta sker relativt sent i produktutvecklingen och eventuella ändringar som kan uppstå på grund av att servicevänlighet inte uppnås blir mycket kostsamma. Om däremot prototypen där metoderna verifieras för första gången är digital och detta sker tidigt blir kostnaderna för eventuella ändringar avsevärt mycket mindre. Modellen som ligger till grund för metodstudierna kan sedan används för att skapa ett utkast till service litteratur, detta medför att även den delen av slutprodukten kommer att vara i fas med övriga utvecklings avdelningar. Under detta projekt har en digital prototyp av en Scania motor använts för genomförandet av metodstudier.

During spring 2001 we have been involved with our bachelor thesis at Doberman Digital Agency, an Internet related webdesign company. We have focused our work on the registration process via digital medias such as the Internet. During our workprocess we have been conducting a number of studies and analyses of workrelated materials. Ethnographical methods such as structured interviews and participant observations were primarily used in our work. We also widely used brainstorming in our designprocess.

This thesis investigates the possibilities offered to a working landscape architect by anincreased and altered use of digital 3D environments. A basic assumption is that increased useof digital three-dimensional environments promotes the creative processes and presentationoptions of landscape architects.The thesis is based on literature studies and communication with working landscapearchitects, and includes an investigation of the visualization methods available in the Blender3D modelling software. The thesis provides a thorough survey of what it means to model inthree dimensions, as well as of what modelling methods are feasible for a landscape architectto use. As landscape architects, we work with human and unique processes, and thus it isdifficult to develop standardized and automatic software for our profession. One possiblesolution is to turn to open source development, where software and models are shared andanyone can contribute.

The aim of this comparative study is to analyse the French and the Polish regional governance in order to see if there are any differences in their regional ruling systems. Further more I will study their different possibilities in taking part in the European Union regional political market. The shape of the regional systems will be explored both organisationally (study of the institutional entities of the regional construction) and functionally (study of the competencies of the regional body etcetera) to focus on its cause on the regional development. My over all focus will be to find out whether regional rule means differently in the countries France and Poland.Several questions are dealt with and the two main ones are as follows; How do the different structures of the form of government in France and Poland influence the governance on the regional level? Do Poland, as a new member state of the European Union, have what it takes to face the challenges of the new membership; or are there a complex of problems arising from the admittance that prevent its regions from fully taking part in the European regional political market?Some of my conclusions are as follows;There are major differences between the two countries when it comes to their regional ruling systems leading to different abilities in taking part in the European regional political market.

Taltidningen är en inläst tidning som personer med svårigheter att läsa en vanlig tidning kan få. Tidningen sänds förvrängd via radio så att endast prenumeranter skall ha tillgång till den. Förvrängningen kräver att prenumeranter har en särskild typ av mottagare hemma. Mottagaren som används idag spelar in tidningen på ett kassettband som sedan kan lyssnas av på vilken bandspelare som helst. Mottagarna är dock dyra att underhålla och det är svårt att få tag på nya.

AbstractIn this text the attitudes towards and using of blogs in teaching Swedish toteenagers will be explored. The results are based on a survey made amongst 17teachers and 58 students from all over Sweden. The end results show that theusage of blog still hasn?t found a permanent way into the classrooms, but has anappeal to and is being used by predominantly younger teachers both, male andfemale, with a positive response from students regardless of gender. Theconclusion is that using web tools like the blog is an easy first step for schools toconnect to the digital society of the 21stcentury and take advantage of the perksavailable in the digital classroom.Svensk titel:Blogg + Svenska =Sant? ? Syftet med detta examensarbete är att 1) undersöka och beskriva vad digitalt berättande är, 2) redogöra för hur det i allmänhet används idag, samt 3) utvärdera dess potential som pedagogiskt redskap i skolan. Vi har i vårt arbete utgått ifrån socio-kulturell teori. Via intervjuer med personer med erfarenhet av digitalt berättande från Helsingborg och Landskrona har vi undersökt hur digitalt berättande används där. Under namnet digitalt berättande verkar metoden inte användas i skolorna i Helsingborg och Lanskrona. Våra slutsatser är att digitalt berättande används på olika sätt på de två institutioner vi fokuserat på, Dunkers Kulturhus i Helsingborg och Folkets hus i Landskrona.

Dagens dynamiska situation på marknaden sätter spår på den befintliga marknadsfilosofin med fokus på kommunikationen mellan företaget och konsumenten. Den moderna teknologin och Internet har utvecklats och blivit mer tillgängliga, vilket har bidragit till att den moderna konsumenten tillbringar en stor del av sin tid på Internet. De digitala nätverken och kommu-nikationen inom dem förändrar konsumentbeteenden och attityder, främjar konsumenters självständighet samt ger kontroll över köpbesluten. De här trenderna påverkar dagens detalj-handel, där konkurrensen och kampen om kundernas lojalitet ökar. Konventionella marknads-föringsstrategier föråldras snabbt under dagens förlopp och kräver mer kreativitet och enga-gemang av företaget.

Det papperslösa samhället har varit ett begrepp i över trettio år, men än läser vi tidskrifter och magasin i pappersform. Vi konsumerar dock dagligen allt mer information och mycket av denna är i digital form. Tidskriften är en produkt som liksom CD-skivan är möjlig att helt och hållet digitalisera. Kanske är det en anledning till att upplagorna minskar för många tidskrifter i Sverige? Denna rapport syftar till att nå en fördjupad förståelse för hur svenska tidskrifter möter den digitala utvecklingen i fyra kanaler; webbplats, Twitter, Facebook och applikation för iPad (digital utgåva).

The advancements in digital technology and its availability contribute to the transfer of companycentricproduct development and value creation to networks or communities. It also changes the basisfor creation of customer relationships as described in previous research on Customer relationshipmanagement (CRM). The purpose of this case study was to gain an understanding of how companieslike our case study object Memoto who developed a physical product which gets added-value fromdigital product-related services looks upon product-centered communities as a way of buildingcustomer relationships. How Memoto looks upon incentives for participation in product-centeredcommunities was also examined.Our research indicated that firms in the start-up phase (which Memoto was when this study wasconducted) initially want to have more control over the process of innovation and hence have directcontact with end-customers. The reason for this is because they see a need to define the basis forfurther innovation work.

Every year, Swedish municipalities transfer considerable amounts of profit from public housing companies to the owner municipality. Municipalities are allowed to do this, provided that the money is used to pay for certain purposes. But there are no legal repercussions if they do not comply. Not all municipalities choose to transfer profits. Based on partisan theory, this difference could be explained by the political governance of the municipality.

OAIS (Open Archival Information System) är ett uttryck som blir allt vanligare inom digital långtidsbevaring, och är en standard som kan vara till hjälp vid skapande och drivande av digitala arkiv. I denna uppsats har vi undersökt praktisk användning av OAIS i ett samarbe mellan sex arkiv i Lund, som i ett projekt ska implementera ett framtida digitalt arkiv. Vi har följt det inledande arbetet med att skapa en egen modell för ett regionalt digitalt arkiv där man har tagit OAIS-standarden som utgångspunkt. Syftet med uppsatsen var att undersöka hantering och omfattning av OAIS för att sedan kunna presentera ett resultat som kan vara till användning för framtida projekt inom digital långtidsbevaring som ska använda OAIS. Insamling av empiriska data har huvudsakligen gjorts med hjälp av observationer av arbetet och semistrukturerade intervjuer med projektmedlemmar.

Detta examensarbete innehåller en kartläggning av Scanias arbete med digital dynamisk geometrisäkring samt ett förslag på hur arbetet kan utvecklas.Kartläggningen skapar en översiktlig bild av hur dagens arbete utförs och beskriver de ingående delmomenten. Observationer av hur arbetet utförs har gjorts och dokumenterats och samtal med berörda personer på Scania har skapat förståelse för behovet av ett bättre och mer utvecklat arbetssätt.Scania vill bli bättre på digital dynamisk geometrisäkring för att kunna minska den idag relativt stora verksamheten med fysisk provning av prototypartiklar och färdiga bilar. Ett förslag till ett nytt arbetssätt har tagits fram och förutsättningar för detta har undersökts på företaget. Förslaget bygger på ett ökat samarbete mellan grupper med olika ansvarsområden kopplade till vilka krav som ställs på lastbilen. Utöver den rent organisatoriska delen innefattar det även mer handgripliga förslag på fortsatt arbete som bland annat behöver ett underlag i form av trovärdiga simuleringsmodeller.En jämförelse mellan resultaten från dagens simulering och fysisk provning har genomförts och resultatet visar att vidare arbete med förbättring av de digitala modellerna krävs innan det nya arbetssättet kan anammas tillfullo..
