This paper describes the development of a simulation model for the ambulance flow in the Västra Götalands-region of Sweden, and an analysis tool for the output of the simulation model. The aim of the simulation model was to be able to evaluate the outcome from changes in the ambulance operations, such as a reorganization of ambulances or an increase in intensity of the ambulance calls. This evaluation is meant to serve as decision support for the strategic planning of the ambulance operations. The analysis tool was developed to visualize the abundant geographical data produced by the simulation model in a meaningful way. The simulation model was validated against historical data which showed that the dispatch time for the highest prioritized ambulance calls corresponds well with historical data.

Almost all Swedes today have access to the Internet, if not through the home then via the library or work. Despite this, around 20% of the population stand outside the information society in that they lack in knowledge, assistive usability tools or positive attitude towards technology and its influence on society. The main factors influencing the digital divide in today's society are age, disability and education, while the main reason for staying outside seems to be disinterest.The question about digital inclusion is important as we now stand on the breaking-point between a society where the industry has had a prominent position for private as well as national economy and a digital society where access to the Internet is no longer about prestige, but where significant differences between users' knowledge levels can create a power gap. Gaps in access and use not only reflects already existing socio-economic conditions, but can also maintain and enhance these.It is crucial for the future expansion of Internet usage how today's non-users feel about becoming users. To understand what underlies the motivations not to use computers is one of the keys to get non-users to embrace becoming users.

Digital kontra manuell blodtrycksmätning-Är resultaten samstämmiga?

Blodtrycksmätning är en viktig del i en sjuksköterskas arbetsuppgifter och då både manuell och digital blodtrycksmätning idag förekommer parallellt inom svensk sjukvård syftar denna studie till att undersöka om det finns någon skillnad mellan de uppmätta resultaten i dessa mätmetoder och beskriva denna eventuella skillnad. Undersökningen genomfördes på en kärlkirurgisk avdelning på ett sjukhus i södra Sverige under hösten 2009. Populationen bestod av 38 inneliggande patienter som följdes upp med totalt 65 blodtrycksmätningar. För att utföra undersökningen tillämpades cross-over design med kvantitativ ansats. Resultaten visade skillnader mellan de två mätmetoderna då den digitala metoden uppmätte högre blodtryck än den manuella. Digital blodtrycksmätning visade genomgående högre mätresultat jämfört med manuell metod.

Framställning av en digital höjdmodell över Storsjö strand i Östersund

Östersunds kommun behövde höjddata inför planeringen av ett nytt bostads- och rekreationsområde som kallas Storsjö strand där en ny fördjupad översiktplan tagits fram. Syftet med examensarbetet var att skapa en digital höjdmodell över en del av området. Mätningar med Leica GNSS-utrustning samt totalstation utfördes under några dagar.  Höjddatat levererades till kommunen. En triangelmodell skapades och en karta med höjdkurvor togs även fram för att visualisera arbetet. En del felkällor kan ha haft inverkan på resultatet såsom tjälen i marken och eventuellt några enstaka flervägsfel, men vi anser ändå att resultatet är tillräckligt för en första översiktlig planering..

Konceptstudie av drivmodul till bandskotare med hybriddrift

BAE Systems Hägglunds has a long history of producing high performance terrain tracked vehicles (mostly for military applications), and they are now aiming at developing a tracked forwarder with similar techniques.The forwarder will be of series hybrid type where a diesel engine via a generator will power the motors (one for each drive wheel). Thanks to individually controlled motors and the gentle rubber tracks, this forwarder is calculated to have a considerably higher average speed in the terrain and to be more gentle to the soil. The forwarder with a weight of 11 metric tons and a load capacity of 15 metric tons is specified to have an average working speed of 7-10 km/h, a top speed in terrain of 15 km/h and a top speed on roads of 40 km/h.This master?s thesis aims at developing a conceptual design of the forwarder?s drive module which includes electric motor, gear unit, brake and drive wheel.To investigate if the requirements can be fulfilled a study of the dimensioning loading scenarios has been carried out. The resulting needs regarding the torque has been considered in order to determine the required gear ratios for different motor options.

Digital speldistribution - Om behovet av rekommendationer och riktlinjer inom

Digital distribution för datorspel växer för varje år. Med tiden har fler och fler webbutikermed endast digitala produkter dykt upp, samtidigt som de gamla till en allt större del harbörjat erbjuda ett digitalt sortiment. Konsumenterna har med denna utveckling ett hav avolika typer av distributionsmöjligheter att välja bland. Vissa kan för en del konsumenterkännas restriktiva, medan andra webbutiker erbjuder en typ av försäljning som påminner merom den fysiska.Syftet med denna studie är att försöka identifiera de olika typer av affärsmodeller ochdistributioner som finns i dagsläget, och om det finns behov av att införa någon typ avstandard i form av riktlinjer och rekommendationer för digital distribution.Studien visar att det skulle vara problematiskt att tillämpa riktlinjer som skulle fungera ipraktiken för alla dessa varianter av digital distribution. Men samtidigt identifieras ett antalproblem som individuellt skulle kunna åtgärdas med hjälp av några av de riktlinjer ochrekommendationer som tas fram genom bland annat kvantitativ undersökning blandspelkonsumenter och intervju med Sveriges största aktör inom området..

SPIRITUALITET OCH INTUITIVA VIBES Tjejers str?van efter respektabilitet i ett digitalt rum

On social media, girls create digital spaces where a distinctive spiritual culture emerges. This spiritual culture is therapeutic in nature, consisting of therapeutic compositions and happiness-generating templates that contribute to the girls' respectability by allowing them to take responsibility through their intuitive knowledge. The purpose of this study is to investigate how the pursuit of respectability is manifested in these digital spaces by examining spiritual expressions and exploring how participation in therapeutic culture online serves the attainment of respectability. The study employs a participatory netnographic method, focusing on observations of LIVE broadcasts on TikTok. In these broadcasts, girls engage in various spiritual practices within a shared digital sphere. The observations are analyzed through the theoretical frameworks of Beverley Skeggs' concept of respectability and theories related to therapeutic culture, including happiness culture and therapeutic assemblage. The findings reveal that both the girls hosting the LIVE broadcasts and those participating by commenting collaboratively create a digital culture through the exchange of advice.

Five interviews were performed in order to gain insight in the systems used by designers, how these work, how they collaborate within them, and what they think of recent research about them. Design studios allow collaboration for several users at once. Digital material (mockups, pictures, etc.) are commonly used, but needs to be made analog, e.g. printed, to be usable in the design studio environment.

The purpose of this study was to follow a research-oriented design process and to develop a design draft for a digital service that supports users to make more environmentally conscious choises in their everyday life. By following an interaction design process from start to final delivery, the study aims at creating a broad understanding of the process. Therefore, many userrelated activities were implemented in the study: eg. personas, scenarios, sketching and user testing. The project resulted in digital wireframes for an iPhone application using embedded GPS to identify and locate environmentally friendly businesses.

För ca 11 500 år sedan började Weichselisen smälta bort från Stockholmsregionen och trycket som ismassan utövade på jordskorpan började sakta lätta. Sedan dess har markytan inom de tidigare istäckta områdena arbetat för att återfå sitt jämviktsläge. Detta har påverkat strandlinjens läge genom en kombination av den pågående isostatiska återhämtningen och den varierande eustatiska förändringen. Denna uppsats fokuserar på ett område i anslutning till Hammersta ruin ca 13 km norr om Nynäshamn. Strandlinjerna för perioden 500?1500 e.Kr.
