Design finns överallt runt omkring oss, det Ă€r en del av vĂ„ra liv och en bestĂ„ndsdel som stĂ€ndigt Ă€ndras av medias rörliga plattform. Den stĂ€ndiga förĂ€ndring som design för med sig blir mĂ„nga gĂ„nger ifrĂ„gasatt och diskuterad inom mediebranschen. Ofta kommer rĂ€tt och fel upp som begrepp inom design om vad som fungerar eller inte, begrepp som jag i mitt arbete lyfter fram och arbetar kring. Genom olika manipulationer och arbete med digital grafik, som pĂ„lĂ€gg av texturer och fĂ€rg/form pĂ„ fotografier, visar mitt arbete en bildserie som Ă€r skapad med fĂ€rg och form frĂ„n 1980-talet. En bildserie som Ă€r framtagen för att fĂ„ svaret pĂ„ om det gĂ„r att lansera gammal grafik pĂ„ nytt och fĂ„ det accepterat i dagens mediala samhĂ€lle..

Syftet med denna studie Àr att undersöka lÀrarens arbete med lÀrplattor i förskolan. Studien har tre frÄgestÀllningar; 1) Hur beskriver förskollÀrarna sin syn pÄ lÀrplattan som pedagogiskt verktyg? 2) Hur beskriver förskollÀrarna sitt arbete med lÀrplattan? 3) Hur beskriver förskollÀrarna lÀrplattans tillgÀnglighet för alla barn? Studien genomfördes pÄ en förskola i Mellansverige. Intervjuer med fyra förskollÀrare genomfördes. Intervjuerna utfördes med en semistrukturerad design; en intervjuform dÀr det finns goda möjligheter anpassa intervjun efter respondenten.

Jag har under mitt kandidatarbete gjort en praktisk studie av producentrollen pÄ det Karlshamnsbaserade spelföretaget Black Drop Studios. I denna slutreflektion gÄr jag igenom min egen process under utvecklingen av en spelprototyp av företagets primÀra produkt, plattforms-racing spelet Boingo. Under produktionen har jag som producent verkat för att effektivisera verksamheten och agerat som en resurs för teamet. Jag har haft dagliga möten och individuella samtal med medlemmarna i gruppen, samt kontinuerligt övervakat och utvÀrderat arbetsflödet genom det web-baserade projektledningsverktyget Redmine. Utöver min roll som producent har jag Àven arbetat med marknadsföring och presentation av den fÀrdiga produkten pÄ Game Developers Conference i San Francisco.

Arcoma is a company that develops and manufactures X-ray equipment for hospitals. One of the most crucial components is the digital detector. Due to the high cost it is made removable so it could be transferred and used in other X-ray apparatus. The detector is placed in a so called detector holder. The current detector has a rectangular shape which sometimes requires a 90 degree rotation to match the shape of the patient.

Marknadskommunikation Àr en bransch i stÀndig utveckling. Företag söker nya, smarta sÀtt att nÄ ut till sina konsumenter som stÀller högre krav pÄ att varumÀrken engagerar och aktiverar dem. Företag Àr i behov av att ligga i tÀten inom utvecklingen av marknadskommunikation för att sÄledes stÀrka differentieringen av företagets utbud av produkter och tjÀnster. Denna studie syftar till att bidra med förstÄelse för vad upplevelsebaserad kommunikation Àr och om den har nÄgon betydelse för marknadskommunikation i framkant och i sÄ fall, vilken? Vi har genom ett hermeneutiskt förhÄllningsÀtt och en induktiv ansats analyserat empiri som genererats under vÄra intervjuer med noga utvalda informanter.Studien visar att marknadskommunikation i framkant Àr insiktsfull och att den skapar engagemang dÀr det finns en stÀndig vÀxelverkan mellan företaget och konsumenterna.

Development and construction of an electronic Breakout box is the main work for this thesis. The box is a part of a test system for the component Fuel Flow Transmitter and should convert signals to be suitable for a frequency counter. A previously constructed Breakoutbox for this purpose is being old and needed to be recreated. So SAAB Aerotech, Aircraft services, the company for the thesis work wanted to construct a new, more sustainable Breakoutbox adapted to a more modern technology. The signals to the box comes from the transmitter and should be converted to suitable signals for a frequency counter so it can show pulse and time difference between the signals.

Our digital society encompasses nowadays different channels, which includes social media where many users consider it as a platform where they can fetch news or exchange news and information. This leads to a large spread of news exchange in a very fast speed, which involves the global users within social media to be a part of this social interaction. This study is focused on how Twitter affects the usage of the user?s news consumption. By reaching out to our specific target audience, which includes Twitter users in Sweden, we made a web based survey with a content of relevant questions.

The aim of this thesis is to accomplish an understanding on how librarians experience their professional role at private companies. The study is based on qualitative interviews with persons who have a degree in Library and Information science, but does not work as an ordinary librarian. To answer why the respondents work at private companies, this thesis dwells on how the education in library and information science prepares their students to face an alternative career; why the respondents wants to work at private firms instead of a library; if the salary is a key factor in order to choose a career; if the respondents think the companies appreciate their qualifications, and finally, if the respondents think they intrude on other professions' territory? Working at a private company, with a degree in library- and information science, is not, according to the respondents, easy. Although appreciated by their knowledge in the field of information, the interviewees think that the title librarian is hard to cope with.

This essay constitutes a literary study investigating how scientific literature within thefield of musicology can benefit to the understanding of how people use music as anaid for sleep and relaxation. Furthermore it aims to answer the question of whatconclusions can be drawn about the music people choose to use in these types ofsituations. The essay depicts the phenomenon of sleep music from several anglesgathered from the literature and investigates several models of understanding howand why people use music as a tool for emotional influence. As a complement to this,and to illustrate the modern usage of music for mind-altering purposes, the essay alsostudies a selection of digital sleeping aids ? apps.The study shows a complexity since the phenomenon can be viewed from severalangles that are not always consistent with each other.

Denna uppsats handlar om programmering av autoriggningsverktyg för Maya 2013 som skulle effektivisera animeringsproduktionspipelinen genom att spara tid vid riggningsdelen av animeringspipelinen. Vidare handlar denna uppsats om utvÀrdering av tiden som man kan spara vid anvÀndningen av detta autoriggningsverktyg. Verktyget Àr flexibelt pÄ det sÀtt att den stödjer humanoida karaktÀrer och Àr anvÀndbar för mer Àn mÀnskliga karaktÀrer. Tiden som spenderas att manuellt rigga samma typ av karaktÀrrigg varierar frÄn person till person och det kan ta vÀldigt lÄng tid, dÀrför gjordes en enkÀt som delades ut till deltagare som Àr erfarna inom riggningsomrÄdet. Resultaten av denna enkÀt hjÀlper vid berÀkningen av tiden som kan sparas med autoriggningsverktyg i en animeringspipeline. Resultatet av undersökningen visar att man kan spara tid genom att anvÀnda sig ut av ett autoriggningsverktyg istÀllet för att rigga manuellt.

This study aims to explore managers? experiences and perceived conditions for exercising leadership in both hybrid and physical work environments. The empirical material consists of eleven semi-structured interviews and four policy documents. The sample includes eleven managers, of whom six work in a physical environment and five in a hybrid setting. The study follows an inductive approach, where the interviews were first collected and later analyzed by identifying patterns and connecting them to theories on different leadership styles, monitoring, and trust.

Studien avser framtagning av skidklÀder, en jacka och en byxa i herrstorlek, dÀr designen bestÀms av de funktioner som man vill uppnÄ i plaggen. Studien Àr gjord i samarbete med ett externt företag som valt ut uppdraget. En undersökning har genomförts för att fÄ fram vilka underlag som krÀvs för att plaggen ska gÄ att sömförseglas med tejp, vilket dÀrmed gör plaggen vattentÀta.Under projektets gÄng har olika metoder anvÀnts för att nÄ slutresultatet. Digital mönsterkonstruktion, toilesömnad, avprovning och gradering Àr de frÀmsta metoderna. Projektets mÄl har varit att leverera sömnadsprov pÄ bÄda plaggen i samma material som plaggen senare Àr tÀnkta att tillverkas i.

The main purpose of this thesis is to contribute to the understanding of information needs of eight vocational studies teachers at the Handicraft Programme at a senior high school. I have analyzed the teachers? needs of information and the empirical material has been collected through interviews with eight vocational studies teachers. To analyze the interviews I have used Lars Höglund and Olle Persson?s model for information needs and a model for information sources.

The purpose of this thesis is to investigate the two new phenomena; the pricing model Pay-What-You-Want (PWYW) and the launch of daily newspapers in the iPad. A quantitative study was conducted in order to examine what would happen if the PWYW-model where to be used by a daily newspaper for its iPad product, and what this would signal to consumers about the brand in terms of brand association and brand attitude. Furthermore, we have investigated which of these factors that are affecting willingness to pay in this PWYW-situation. Moreover, a secondary purpose was to test the two possible presentations of the digital newspaper in the iPad; Product and Access ? and how the results differed between these two.

This study aims to determine whether pupils, students and teachers at various music schools feel that there is a difference in status between different music styles/genres, and if this has an impact on the individual level. The survey was conducted with a digital survey that was e-mailed to junior/high schools with music profile in the Stockholm area and to all the teachers and students at the Royal College of music in Stockholm (KMH). Due to low participation by students and teachers from the junior/high schools the students and teachers of KMH became the main object of the study. The results shows that a majority of the main group of this study feels that there is a difference in status between different music styles/genres. The study also shows that half of the participants believe that the difference in status affects them on an individual level.
