This thesis examines young people's thoughts about their presence on social media. With asocial constructive approach the study focused on how young people think and act on socialmedia in relation to constructions of gender and normality. The analysis is based on fourgroup interviews with 13-year old boys and girls. The theoretical approach is based partly onsocial constructionism where discourses and ideas of normality are identified and analyzed.Erving Goffman's theory of social interaction was central to illustrate how young peoplepresents themselves based on the prevailing discourses. It is clear that they adjust theirrepresentations of themselves depending on the context.

In a world where digital media is becoming a greater part of people?s everyday and working lives it is plausible to assume that the upcoming generation of pupils expect the teaching media to adapt thereafter. It is this assumption of an increased demand that Natur & Kultur is hoping to be able to meet. This thesis has been a stage in the process of producing digital material in the subject of mathematics for high school students. Specifically the aims of this thesis have been to make a rough description of the largest competitive companies? products within the same market, explore and put together a brief theoretical foundation of contemporary research and produce concrete examples of ideas for digital applications.

Art directing i en digital kommunikationsbyrå och att arbeta heltid eller deltid som konstnär är två yrken som har en sak gemensamt. I egenskap av professionella roller har de en nyckeluppgift de måste uppfylla ? att vara kreativa. I denna uppsats fokuserar vi på den kreativa processen vid generering av idéer i områden av digital media och konst för att se om det finns tydliga skillnader eller likheter i hur kreativt arbete för sig inom båda områden. För att jämföra den kreativa processen mellan de två parterna har vi gjort flertalet intervjuer och observationer med yrkesverksamma konstnärer och art directors.

We are living in a society where the digital technology is a tool that integrates into our life and changes our daily life and the way we communicate. The easy access to information and the opportunity to communication change the schools organization and demands new ways of teaching with and in contact with the surrounding world. That is why it is interesting to know how teachers can create an education environment with support of digital tools that fulfills a meaning for themselves, the pupils and the goals of the curriculum. This study is about how six teachers in one elementary school creates an education environment with support of digital tools and how they think the affect the pupils cooperation, communication and participation.The theoretical frame for this study is built in a sociocultural perspective, where people learn and develop through participation in social practices. To get the understanding of how teachers are thinking about the challenges and possibilities that digital tools have in the education environment, I choose a qualitative research method.

Samt möjlighet till att hitta och ta in digitalt lagrade media i form av filmer och text.Rapporten går igenom tankeprocessen, planeringen och utförandet samt teoretiska och praktiska lösningar att arbeta i HTML, PHP programmering, SQL, CSS samt JavaScript för att skapa en digital mötesplats som innehåller forum, användarfunktioner, uppladdning av media, profildesign, sökfunktioner mm. Den ger även en överblick i att jobba med Google API för sökfunktion samt phpbb3-anpassning av en redan fungerande login/registreringsfunktion på den egna sidan. This thesis approaches the problem of estimating the arm angles of an industrial robot with flexibilities in joints and links. Due to cost-cutting efforts in the industrial robots industry, weaker components and more cost-effective structures have been introduced which in turn has led to problems with flexibilities, nonlinearities and friction. In order to handle these challenging dynamic problems and achieve high accuracy this study introduces state observers to estimate the tool position.The observers use measurements of the motor angles and an accelerometer and the different evaluated observers are based on an Extended Kalman Filter and a deterministic variant. They have been evaluated in experiments on an industrial robot with two degrees of freedom. The experimental verification shows that the state estimates can be highly accurate for medium frequency motions, ranging from 3-30Hz.

WesDyne TRC AB is a fully owned subsidiary of the global WestinghouseElectric Corporation. WesDyne is a world leader in non-invasive methods for theinspection of nuclear power plants. One of the inspection platforms used to scanfor defects in and around the welds in the reactor vessel is called the T-crawler.The T-crawler operates under water in a radioactive environment by stepping onthe vessel (reactor tank) inner wall using suction cups. The environment is harshand many traditional positioning sensors are not suitable for implementation. Thisthesis investigates the possibility to use a gyroscope and a pressure sensor tocreate an alternative and independent positioning system.

The spread of digital photography has created major changes in the previously stable Swedish photofinishing market. We investigate how companies act to survive in the face of technological change, through our research question: What strategies have actors in the photofinishing business chosen during the changeover from analog to digital photofinishing? Using a deductive method, we have conducted semi-structured interviews with 11 actors in the photofinishing business. Innovation management studies innovation from a number of perspectives, describing effects of innovations on the competitive ability of established actors, and on the value of their resources. The companies were not prepared for the speed of the change.

Bakgrund: Skolios kan bero på många olika orsaker. Beroende på dess orsak delas den in i strukturell och funktionell skolios. Vid idiopatisk skolios finns ingen känd orsak och dessa patienter utgör 80 % av de strukturella skolioserna. Det är vanligt att idiopatisk skolios upptäcks hos barn som är 10-12 år. Patienter med idiopatisk skolios kan komma att genomgå flera radiologiska undersökningar och det är därför viktigt att använda så låg stråldos som möjligt.Syfte: Syftet med denna litteraturstudie var att ta reda på hur stora stråldoser patienter med skolios får i samband med konventionella undersökningar.

AbstractDigital media in general and social media in particular are becoming more and more important to businesses across the globe. It is an effective way to reach out to consumers and establish a good relationship with existing customers. Most companies today use digital media in order to market themselves and to establish good public relations. A lot of those companies have also realized the enormous marketing capabilities that social media provides. However, in spite of the plethora of possibilities that comes with social media it can also, in some cases, hinder the companies ? success.

The eutrophication of inshore seas, lakes and watercourses is mainly due to leaching of nitrogen and phosphorus (P) from agriculture. Many efforts are made to reduce the lea-kage of phosphorus in Sweden and the Baltic Sea countries. Phosphorus is also a finite resource and the mining of good quality raw material gets more and more difficult. Se-dimentation dams in combination with filters is one relatively new method to separate P from run-off and drainage water from agricultural land. This study was a part of an IVL Swedish Environmental Research Institute?s project which tests the capacity and func-tion for separation of phosphorus in four phosphorus filters.

Syftet med denna utredning var att välja ut och utveckla kommunikationsövningar under det första stadiet av en gestaltningsprocess mellan landskapsarkitekt och brukare. Genom att undersöka olika metoder/övningar såsom att svara på en enkät och att se på bilder framkom det att övningarnas styrka låg i att de var flera och kombinerades på olika sätt.

The digital era has led to technical advances that have transformed the role of the public library from being a place that is used only through physical visits and material, into also being a virtual space that can be accessed by users from outside the library through Internet-based access to e-media such as e-books and streamed or downloadable audiobooks.The aim of this study is to examine how the role of public libraries in Stockholm County has changed in the process of developing into digital libraries: how this has affected their organisation, work methods and strate- gies, as well as their accessibility. The theoretical framework of the study draws on Michael K. Bucklands theory of information accessibility, which is based on six factors of access that are determined by different types of barriers. The methodology is based on a combination of quantitative and qualitative methods. Primary data was gathered through an empirical survey, which consisted of a structured questionnaire distributed to most of the public libraries in Stockholm County and semi-structured interviews with selected librarians and experts for further in-depth understanding.

Anoto är ett litet företag som, med hjälp av ett koncept bestående av en så kallad digitalpenna och tillhörande papper vill etablera en global de facto standard för pappersbaserad digital kommunikation. Hur har Anoto gått tillväga i sitt försök att etablera en de facto standard för pappersbaserad digital kommunikation? Syftet med uppsatsen är utföra en fallstudie av Anotos försök att etablera en de facto standard för pappersbaserad digital kommunikation. Målsättningen med fallstudien är att beskriva och analysera denna standardiseringsprocess. Vi har kommit till slutsatsen att för ett företag som Anoto kan ha en chans till standardsättning och att knyta allianser med stora internationella företag beror helt på i vilken utsträckning de lyckats uppnå utväxling, skapa tydliga indirekta nätverkseffekter, bygga upp förväntningar för konceptet, samt koordinera nätverksansträngningarna.
