Journalists and communication managers are becoming more professional and to reach out to its stakeholders in society today, organizations must work strategically with communication, to enter the news. Many make use of press releases to provide journalists with information, hoping to influence what is published on the news. With a background in the medial change that occurs is the purpose of this study to elucidate and problematize which role press releases has for newsrooms and for organizations today and in the future. A qualitative interview study has been used, and communication managers from three organizations and journalists from three newsrooms has been interviewed. The study has been combined with a quantitative pilot study of selected press releases and articles from the selected organizations.

In this thesis recruiter?s attitudes and usage of social media within the media business has been examined. The purpose was to find out whether a certain type of behavior in social media could or could not lead to a future employment. How much weight is put on the virtual identity and what does recruiters look for when the look someone up on the internet. Personal interviews with recruiters were done in six different media companies in Stockholm to find out how they used social media when searching and employing new employers.

Den ger även en överblick i att jobba med Google API för sökfunktion samt phpbb3-anpassning av en redan fungerande login/registreringsfunktion på den egna sidan. Rapporten går även igenom teoretiska problem gällande anpassningen till öppen källkod och implementering av externa system..

I denna studie har jag använt mig av de ämnesdidaktiska principerna som en teoretisk modell för att möjliggöra förståelsen för hur lärare i ämnet samhällskunskap använder sig av digitala medier i sin undervisning. Det empiriska materialet i studien kommer ifrån sex intervjuade lärare som arbetar på tre olika högstadieskolor. Två av de intervjuade lärarna i studien arbetar även som IKT inspiratörer. Två av skolorna i studien som de intervjuade lärarna arbetar på bedrivs av kommunal regi medan en är en friskola. Resultatet som jag har kommit fram till i studien visar att lärarna använder olika former av digital media i sin undervisning.

But who is to say that the co-worker experience the message the same way as the line manager or the management for that matter? The purpose of this study is toinvestigate how the middle managers at Southern Älvsborg Hospital experience strategic internal communication andfurther how they communicate with their co-workers.Through a case study approach, the case being the communication of the hospitals research strategy, I conducted 13 interviews.I analyzed the material from the interviews using a hermeneutical approach and I used an interpretative approach to get a deeper understanding.

Analysmodellen kommer att appliceras på TV-branschen.Metod: Vi har konstruerat en ansats till en generell teoretisk analysmodell som vi har applicerat på TV-branschen för att försöka förklara hur företagens affärsmodeller påverkas av externa faktorer som bidrar till förändringar i branschen. I vår undersökning har vi valt en kvalitativ metod, och vi har huvudsakligen använt oss av teori inom branschutveckling, värdekonstellationer och value migration teori. Vår primärdata utgörs av intervjuer med personer som arbetar inom digital-TV området i någon av de tre distributionsplattformarna. Sekundärdata har vi erhållit från artiklar, remisser samt annat material från olika instanser inom området.Slutsats: Vår ansats till analysmodell utgör en grund för att studera hur affärsmodeller påverkas av branschförändringar.

The use of Power Line Communication, PLC, as a communication solution for Automated Meter Reading, AMR, is popular by utilities in Sweden and other parts of the world due to demands of accurate and fast meter reading. However the use of the electrical grid as a communication medium is complex and sometimes problematic. This report handles some of the issues and problems that are important to understand when using the grid as a communications medium. Focus is mainly on investigating high frequency distortion in the Kristianstad power grid own by C4energi caused by a frequency converter. AbstractIn my work on language development in preschool the purpose was to examine how and to what extent the pre-school supports children with special needs in their language development. Trough qualitative interviews with four preschool teachers, I wanted to see how they work with language development in preschool. The purpose of this study is to describe the three most significant pedagogical ideas and their impact on the national curriculum from the concept of communication. As the school is a social learning community this study looks at some teachers? perceptions and experiences of teaching with a communicative approach, and the obstacles they claim to meet. The educationist Kieran Egan argue that these three pedagogical ideas are incompatible and that a curriculum that compromises them is doomed to fail. The purpose of this essay is to examine the relationship between visual communication and female homosexuality within the field of magazine design. As the creative part of the project I have chosen to make a redesign of Lotus magazine, the very first Swedish magazine with lesbian and bisexual girls as the target audience. The questions of which the project is based on are: Which stereotypes, differences and similarities can be found in visual communication addressed to a heterosexual versus a homosexual target audience? What kind of design attracts non-heterosexual girls and how can I create a design for Lotus magazine that is appealing to lesbian and bisexual girls and yet still makes it possible to compete with traditional girls? magazines? In order to examine my research questions I have done literature studies within the field of gender and sexual identity in relation to visual communication. Skolans styrdokument ställer krav på att lärare och elever ska använda digitala medier i undervisningen och digital kompetens ses som en nyckelkomponent för ett livslångt lärande. Syftet är att analysera interaktionen mellan lärare och elever under problemlösningssituationer i matematikundervisningen med smart-board som medierande artefakt. Studien har ett sociokulturellt perspektiv.Empirin är insamlad genom video-observationer och studien är öppen och kvalitativ. Empirin består av fyra filmade och transkriberade sekvenser som innefattar fyra olika elever och hur de arbetar med problemlösning med smart-boarden som medierande artefakt. Empirin är analyserad utifrån EMA-modellen, som bygger på idéer från John Deweys pragmatiska filosofi.Resultatet visar att interaktionen styrs av läraren eftersom att det är läraren som styr över talutrymmet, men även vilka elever som ska vara delaktiga i interaktionen.

The aim with this independent degree project of master thesis is to find what the user opinions of the intranet in a county council is. The paper seeks how the question about how the culture in the organisation was affected by the use of the intranet. An important part is to explore the expectations and acceptance of the intranet and get a picture of which functions and services support day-to-day work with good quality. One goal is to find out how the intranet users feel that the communication, information and usability can be developed.The focus group interview is a qualitative method that has been applied for gathering data from the respondents, who participate in the investigation from the county council. The used method is unstructured focus groups containing the three dominating categories of staff in the county council.
