Ett förlorat kulturarv? : Digitala personarkiv ? problem, lösningar och framtid

This thesis has focused on digital born personal archives; how they are different from analog paper archives and possible ways to overbridge these differences. It is also studied how archivists and librarians are dealing with digital archives, what they think about new proactive solutions when collecting private papers and collections and positive and negative effects with this way to work. The thesis is delimitated to only private collections and digital created material. It do not concern digitized material or electronic documents in government or business organizations.The challenges in digital curation and administration are discussed in aspect of the Records Continuum Model. The empirical material is also put in relation to research in Personal Information Management and identity theory.

UPPBYGGNADEN AV DET DIGITALA BIBLIOTEKET PÅ ISLAND

Close to the city center of Reykjavik lies the combined national- and university library of Iceland. Usually, these two types of institutions are separated. The purpose of this essay is to investigate how the library in fact selects the new digital material to offer the users in Iceland, and if the combined mission creates any problems or conflicts.The investigation examines the planning and the content of the digital library, what user groups are addressed and how the organisation is held together despite the different missions. If cultural context in Iceland makes a difference for what is selected and offered to the users is also discussed.Six informants in strategic library positions dealing with the digital national- or university library, were interviewed. The answers have been analysed in light of the library&information literature on building and maintaining digital library collections and organizational and marketing theory.The main result of the study is that the informants do not see a conflict between the missions of the organisation, although traces of a struggle were found in some areas.

KÀllsortering pÄ nÀtet- Om att vara kÀllkritisk till Internet ur 9 gymnasieelevers perspektiv

This thesis examines source criticism and critical thinking among upper secondary school students in social science in three different schools in Sweden. Our particular focus lies in investigating the student's critical thinking skills and evaluation of digital sources when they work independently with different projects. How do students value and sort the information they find? We looked furthermore at what factors that may influence students in their evaluation of sources. Moreover, the purpose of this thesis to investigate how the student's critical thinking skills can be used as tools to become more information literate in a learning context.

En-till-en-skola : Pedagogernas synpunkter kring laptopanvÀndning i undervisning

Information and communication technology (ICT) is an important part of society. Learning occurs in all contexts and many students already use various digital media in their leisure time. This article, based on a case study in a One-to-One school. It describes how teachers perceive that their teaching is influenced when their pupils get a laptop. The purpose of this study is to investigate how the focus on one-to-one influence teachers' work in the classroom.

Digital kompetens : för individens frigörelse eller för marknadens behov?

Eskilstuna Folkhögskola is located in Munktellstaden in Eskilstuna. The school has two separate buildings with entrances that are difficult to find. By having two separate buildings, and to be in an area where there are rules and guidelines for the area's environment, makes it difficult to guide visitors to the school premises.The purpose of my research was to examine how to guide visitors to the school, and how to increase understanding that the school's various buildings are connected.Through practices such as site analysis, interviews, I found that the guidelines are not adapted to the current situation that is established in the district.Through theory and empirical material I have produced a design proposal to facilitate Wayfinding to Eskilstuna Folkhögskola. This is presented as a landmark and a clarification of the schools entrances and signage..

Gymnasieelevers digitala (o)kompetens inom ordbehandling

Allt fler skolor satsar pÄ digitalisering och köper in egna datorer till eleverna. I samband med detta stÀlls det krav pÄ eleverna att de skall kunna hantera tekniken och vara digitalt komp-etenta. Digital kompetens ses som en viktig del för elever att besitta och för att fungera i vÄrt samhÀllsliv. Detta Àr dock ingenting som skolan vi studerat frÀmjar dÄ de inte bidrar till en ökad digital kompetens hos eleverna. Det finns forskare som dÀremot anser att det Àr i skolan som eleverna bör fÄ sin digitala kompetens.

Medielek och digital kompetens i en förskolekontext : Design för meningsskapande

The aim of this thesis is to make a contribution to the field of design oriented theory, regarding young children and their way to digital competence. My research question is: How can a preschool with a certain pedagogical ICT-design give the children affordances for media play and for developing a digital competence?The European Parliament points out digital literacy as one of the Key Competences for life long learning. A digital competence is built on basic ICT (Information and Communication technology) skills. Skills you can develop any time during life, weather you are young or old.

Utveckling och konstruktion av vÀxellÄda för elektroniskt styrda stÀlldon

The task of constructing a transmission has been provided to us by Digital Engineering, which is a company located in Hovmantorp. After meeting with Digital Engineering we started immediately with the brainstorming to find different ideas with pen and paper. After having presented a number of concepts for the company, we had finally chosen a winner. For the gearbox to be able to work in a good way the tension must never exceed the strain limit of the material. A prototype of the gearbox was produced by TKB Modell.

Belyst 3D-miljö : En studie om att skapa stÀmning i en  digital 3D-miljö med hjÀlp av ljussÀttning

Ljus Àr sÄ pass sjÀlvklart att vi oftast inte tÀnker pÄ hur viktigt det Àr för oss. Det finns teorier som menar att ljus har en stor betydelse för hur vi upplever saker. DÀrför kan ljussÀttning spela en viktig roll inom exempelvis film. Med hjÀlp av tvÄ ljussÀttningstekniker som anvÀnds inom film har jag skapat tvÄ olika kÀnslor inom en och samma digitala 3D-miljö, för att undersöka om det med enbart ljussÀttning gÄr att pÄverka hur vi upplever stÀmningen inom en 3D-miljö. Sedan har jag intervjuat nio personer för att undersöka om detta Àr möjligt med enbart hjÀlp av belysning eller om det krÀvs fler moment att ta in i berÀkningen.

Syftet med högskoleavhandlingen var att konstruera en klass-D förstĂ€rkare för audio med en DDXi-2161 krets frĂ„n Apogee. FörstĂ€rkaren har en digital stereoingĂ„ng för IÂČS-format. Digitalisering av en analog audiosignal sker med codec-kretsen WM8731 frĂ„n Wolfson. För att möjliggöra implementering av funktioner för digital signalbehandling av audiosignalen ingĂ„r en FPGA-krets frĂ„n Altera i systemet. GrĂ€nssnitten mellan codec-kretsen och FPGA:n samt FPGA:n och klass-D förstĂ€rkaren Ă€r beskrivna med VHDL och implementerade i FPGA:n.

Interoperabilitet mellan DVB-HTML och DVB-J

Vid sÀndning av digital television Àr det möjligt att utöver ljud och bild Àven sÀnda och erbjuda olika typer av tjÀnster och applikationer till mottagare. Vid utveckling av applikationer för digital television kan man vÀlja att utveckla i antingen DVB-J (som Àr en bantad variant av Java för exekvering i Set-Top-Boxar) eller i DVB-HTML (som till stor del överensstÀmmer med XHTML). Syftet med detta arbete Àr att utreda hur DVB-J och DVB-HTML kan kombineras i en och samma applikation och hur interoperabilitet kan uppnÄs mellan DVB-J och DVB-HTML..

Digitala infödingar och deras förhÄllande till hÀlsa och
hÀlsokommunikation

I denna kvalitativa studie undersöks hur ungdomar i 19-25 ÄrsÄldern ser pÄ hÀlsa och hÀlsokommunikation. De Àr sÄ kallade ?digitala infödingar? dvs. ungdomar som Àr uppvÀxta med och anvÀnder sig av digital teknik. Tio ungdomar har intervjuats med syftet att fÄ ett underlag som kan öka förstÄelsen för digitala infödingars beteende och behov nÀr det gÀller hÀlsa.

IKT i förskolan : Diskursanalys av tvÄ styrdokument och sex förskollÀrares berÀttelser om arbetet med IKT

The aim of the study is to learn more about the way preschool teachers work with Information and Communication Technology(ICT). More specifically, this study aims to explore how preschool teachers describe their experience of ICT, the conditions and opportunities to work with ICT, and their own knowledge and competence in the use of digital tools with preschool children. The research method consists of interviews with preschool teachers and observations at five municipal preschools in Stockholm as well as an analysis of the relevant passages in the Curriculum for the Preschool and the Curriculum of Stockholm city. This study shows that there seems to be great variation in the amount of ICT tools present in preschools. Preschool teachers expect a lot from ICT, and the improvements that it can make on their work.

Fotografen och bröllopsbilden : hur teknikskiftet frÄn analog till digital teknik pÄverkat bröllopsfotografernas villkor och vanor

This paper examines how and if the understanding of wedding photography has changed during the shift of technology - from analog to digital photography. It examines if the changed conditions due to the shift of technology have changed the habits and conditions for the photographers working with wedding photography. It furthermore examines what impact these habits and conditions have had on the pictures of weddings. The investigation is based on interviews of six photographers that have worked professionally before and after the shift of technology, as well as of pictures by the photographers taken before and after the shift of technology.Use of time and space has changed due to the shift of technology. The change has also had an influence on hierarchy among the photographers.
