Datorstödd implementering med hjälp av Xilinx System Generator
The development in electronics increases the demand for good design methods and design tools in the field of electrical engeneering. To improve their design methods Ericsson Microwave Systems AB is interested in using computer tools to create a link between the specification and the implementation of a digital system in a FPGA. Xilinx System Generator for DSP is a tool for implementing a model of a digital signalprocessing algorithm in a Xilinx FPGA. To evaluate Xilinx System Generator two testcases has been designed. The testcases are selected to represent the FPGA designs made at Ericsson Microwave Systems.

This thesis investigates how web agencys in Stockholm use, value and incoroprate the terms usability, user experience and interaction design in their work process. The purpose of this study is to investigate how creative professionals works with the notions of usability, user experience and interaction design with focus on the end user. Our definition of creative professionals is every employee at a web agency involved in the work process of developing digital artefacts in any capacity. We wanted to investigate how these notions are considered, consciously or unconsciously, during the workprocess. Semi-structured interviews were conducted at three different web agencys with eight different employees.

Projektet i denna rapport har fokuserat på hur man kan förbättra den visuella och taktila upplevelsen av digitala slagverk. Överföring av digital video via FireWire
Transmission of digital signals is today more frequently used than transmission of analog signals. One reason for this is that a digital signal is less sensitive to noise than an analog, another reason is that almost all signals today are handled in a digital format. This thesis describes the development of a system that receives digital video signals through FireWire. The standard for FireWire, which is a high performance serial bus, is under development. Today the standard of the bus supports transmission of data with a speed of up to 400 Mbit/s.

Digitala kommunikationer mellan VIDA och deras leverantörer
The Swedish forest industry has put a lot of resources in the development of digital communications in hopes of improving collaboration with suppliers. The purpose of this study was to investigate whether VIDA would benefit from using digital communication with suppliers.
The survey was conducted as a questionnaire study among the company?s staff and its suppliers. The result indicated needs and interests to use digital communications in both groups. Young suppliers and suppliers on a distance showed the most interest in using digital communication.
In terms of using these digital communications, the staffs and suppliers were most interested in information regarding transaction and forestmanagement plans.

The purpose of this study is to examine the possibility of developing a service that consists of an mobile application and board game events to promote social face-to-face interaction. Focus has been on the social face-to-face interaction in the context of a board game session.
Kombinerad DSP- och FPGA-lösning för en bildbehandlingsapplikation
This Master's Thesis describes the design of a new system where a digital signal processor has been added to an existing imaging system consisting of field programmable gate arrays. The new system will offer a higher degree of flexibility by considerably shortening the design time and make it possible to implement more complex algorithms than the existing ones. The choice of system architecture and a test implementation are discussed. The test implementation consists of a program for the digital signal processor and VHDL code for one of the field programmable gate arrays. The code for the digital signal processor was designed for testing on an evaluation board from Texas Instruments.

Tillsammans med Polisen i Malmö har vi tagit fram ett förslag till hur en digital version av
denna typ av material kan se ut, med förslag kring gränssnitt och informationsrepresentation,
och en diskussion kring vilka potentiella konsekvenser ett mediebyte kan få för poliserna ute
på fältet.
För att ta fram dessa designförslag använde vi oss av ett antal interaktionsdesignmetoder.

In a few decades the Internet has become a vast repository for knowledge and ideas. New arenas where people may meet and fraternize have emerged, and with the help of various digital tools and websites, the production of new material has increased to an almost unfathomable level.But all is not well on the digital front. As the Internet has become a crucial part of our everyday life, certain skills in handling digital media has become very important to master. This thesis discusses the possibilities to distribute digital video in a military vehicle. Today, an analogue system is used, which has a maximum capacity of eighteen video sources and the same number of monitors. The purpose of this thesis is to increase the systems capabilities regarding secure distribution and additional functions. Both software and hardware tests are made to investigate the features of the digital video standard MPEG-2. Both the coding delay and the image quality are of great interest.

Differences between groups or individuals in a society with regards to access to information and communication technologies (ICTs) are known as the digital divide. The digital divide pertains to differences in physical access to computers and the Internet as well as knowledgein using technology. Important factors affecting the digital divide are disabilities, age, gender, socioeconomical background, ethnicity and geography. The digital divide appears on several levels: internationally, nationally, regionally and locally. Individuals who, for some reason, have limited or no access to information and communication technologies risk, among other things, to experience social exclusion.
Paketering av digital musik: Intervjuer med nyckelpersoner inom digital musik i Sverige
This exploratory thesis uses qualitative research to investigate how digital music is beeing packaged. The main study consists of 11 deep interviews with key representatives of the digital music industry in Sweden. These are (record companies) EMI, SonyBMG, Universal, Warner, (DSP) InProdicon, (mobile operators) 3, TeliaSonera and (cell phone producer) SonyEricsson. Packaging is a concept of marketing that has specific implications depending on which good or service that is being packaged. Packaging occurs at different levels in the production chain.
Digital kontra manuell blodtrycksmätning-Är resultaten samstämmiga?
Blodtrycksmätning är en viktig del i en sjuksköterskas arbetsuppgifter och då
både manuell och digital blodtrycksmätning idag förekommer parallellt inom
svensk sjukvård syftar denna studie till att undersöka om det finns någon skillnad
mellan de uppmätta resultaten i dessa mätmetoder och beskriva denna eventuella
skillnad. Undersökningen genomfördes på en kärlkirurgisk avdelning på ett
sjukhus i södra Sverige under hösten 2009. Populationen bestod av 38
inneliggande patienter som följdes upp med totalt 65 blodtrycksmätningar. För att
utföra undersökningen tillämpades cross-over design med kvantitativ ansats.
Resultaten visade skillnader mellan de två mätmetoderna då den digitala metoden
uppmätte högre blodtryck än den manuella. Digital blodtrycksmätning visade
genomgående högre mätresultat jämfört med manuell metod.
