Despite the fast growing development of IP-telephony services, only a small number of people in Sweden use them. Of the total amount of fixed telephony subscriptions, maximally five percent are based on IP-technology. Through an exploratory study, the main purpose with this thesis is to identify factors that influence the use of IP-telephony on the consumer market, and the factors? internal relationships. The thesis also has two sub-purposes: firstly, chart the supply of IP-telephony services and secondly, discuss what IP-telephony services that are requested by today?s customers in the future.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to investigate the innovation process of companies, and to analyse how important success factors and obstacles are in their innovation process.Method: The investigation strategy used for this essay was to interview companies that work with innovations. The essay has a qualitative approach. Both primary ? in the form of interviews - and secondary data ? literature found in books, scientific articles and internet - have been used to achieve our results.Results: The result of this essay is: there is not just one inovation process that is applicable to all companies. On the other hand, there are some guidelines that could be followed in the process.

Det Intellektuella kapitalet (IC) är en viktig innovation som presenterats inom ekonomistyrningsområdet och består av ett företags human- och strukturkapital, även kallat immateriella tillgångar. Genombrottet kring IC kom 1995 då Skandia och Leif Edvinsson, direktör hos Skandia av det intellektuella kapitalet, för första gången i världen redovisade IC som ett tillägg i sin årsredovisning. Diffusion av innovationer som IC nås ut till samhället via olika kanaler. Även fast IC anses vara en potentiell stark metod kan det diskuteras att det endast handlar om ett fashion eller fad inom ekonomistyrningen, det vill säga en relativt övergående innovation. Syftet med denna uppsats är att beskriva och förklara diffusionen av intellektuellt kapital inom allmän svensk press.

Under de senaste tio åren har LKAB satsat på att utveckla sina eldfasta ugnsinfodringar, för att minska underhållsbehovet och på så sätt öka verkens tillgänglighet och produktion. Beställningen av detta examensarbete är ett led i att få mer kunskap om hur slagg påverkar de olika tegeltyperna som sitter som infodringar i roterugnarna. Degeltester har utförts med tegeltyperna Alex, Victor HWM och Silox 60 med hematitbaserad slagg. Upphettning har skett till 1200ºC, 1350ºC och 1400ºC över driftstider på 5 timmar respektive 24 timmar, med eller utan tillsatser av CaO, K2CO3 och Na2CO3. Analysering och karaktärisering med hjälp av optiskt mikroskop, SEM, XRD och simulering med programvaran Factsage har utförts.

With a base in Ian Manners? theory about Normative Power Europe ? that the European Union is to be seen as a normative power instead of a civilian or military ? this paper seeks to contribute to the discussion about identity by examine the normative elements of the union?s policies towards Russia between 1997 and 2013. Which norms are most important and how does the diffusion look? The findings show that democracy, rule of law and respect of human rights are among the most diffused norms, and this is more than often done by using the Russian interest in economic progress. Over time the European Union has taken on a more critical approach against Russia, while still appreciating their prosperous relation when it comes to trade and energy.

Att lösa partiella differentialekvationer, PDE, med hjälp av numeriska metoder harblivit vitalt det senaste århundradet. Det finns flera metoder tillgängliga och latticeBoltzmanns metod, LBM, har visat sig vara ett kraftfullt verktyg för att lösa Navier-Stokes, N-S ekvation. Metoden är beräkningsmässigt effektiv i jämförelse med andranumeriska metoder under rätt förhållanden. Mängden datorkraft som behövs för attlösa en PDE är viktig och detta gör LBM intressant just på grund av dess beräkningseffektivitet.En studie om möjligheterna att använda LBM till att lösa andra sorters PDEän N-S ekvation är spännande och utbildande. I detta arbete tar vi reda på om LBMkan användas till att lösa och modellera diffusionsekvationen, och om fallet är sådantvalidera att resultatet är tillräckligt korrekt.

The purpose of this essay is to examine the Swedish people?s level of knowledge about crowdfunding and their incentives and deterrents to crowdfunding investments. Early on crowdfunding was divided into two objectives: reward based and equity based crowdfunding. The division of objectives is logical due to the differencing conditions of the motivation for investors to invest. Supported by theories in crowdfunding incentives, commitment-trust, the prospect theory, and the Diffusion of innovations, we aim to establish a comprehensive line of reasoning to support our model of motivation in the conclusive chapter.The results of this essay were achieved by a combined method.

This study focus on how physical and virtual meeting places may promote collaboration between firms and academia for the development of innovations. A case study was conducted on a meeting place that aims to support collaboration for the development of innovations in eHealth between different actors in the Linnaeus region. Data was collected through 6 interviews, whereas 3 with scientists and 3 with entrepreneurs. The data was analyzed based on a theoretical framework based on different perspectives on collaboration and networks, meetings and interaction and, physical and virtual meeting places.The results show that the purpose for collaboration is to be included in a network with other actors in the same area, gain increased knowledge of the subject area and to acquire new external contacts. Furthermore, in order to support collaboration, physical meeting places have to organize effective and interesting meetings.

Ämnet för uppsatsen grundar sig i en ökad efterfrågan av att kunna införa teknik och informationsteknik (IT), som är testad och anpassad för en verksamhet redan innan införandet. Vidare finns det ett behov av att, genom nya innovationer, uppnå långsiktiga strategiska mål inom vård och omsorg. Därför har Sveriges innovationsmyndighet Vinnova startat en satsning på testbäddar inom vård och omsorg. En testbädd kan liknas vid en innovations- och testmiljö där samarbete mellan vårdpersonal, företag och forskning kan ske för att ta fram produkter, processer och tjänster som är anpassade till den miljö där dessa sedan ska tillämpas.Denna studie berör hur utveckling och organisering av en innovations- och testmiljö kan gå till och vilka utmaningar som finns. Vidare tar vi upp intressenters roller och behov i utvecklingen samt hur innovation kan stimuleras i en organisation.

In the current situation a big part ofthe settlements that exist in Sweden isin need of renovation and energyefficiency in order to survive.Therefore, also many of the older houseswith a wooden structure are in a need ofenergy efficiency, which can be done ina variety of ways, including addinginsulation.This project deals with whether the useof a diffusion barrier or a vaporbarrier affects a wall structure byadding insulation to an older house witha timber frame. The insulation materialswhich are concidered in thisinvestigation are mineral wool and woodfiber insulation. Efforts are focused onthe effects of moisture on theseinsulation materials.To demonstrate the differences thatarise the moisture measurement programWUFI have been used to simulate avariety of wall designs. These designsare developed in consultation with theconstruction carers who are active inthe industry.Using WUFI graphs illustrating themoisture levels of the wall structureswere obtained and from these conclusionsvould be drawn. The work demonstratesthe differences that arise when using adiffusion barrier or vapor barrier inwall construction.

AbstractTitle: The old generation and the New World - A qualitative content analysis of media usage of the older generationKeywords:Digital natives, digital immigrants, diffusion of innovation, content analysisThis study has its focus on how the older generation looks at today's media society and the use of today's media. Through a method of qualitative content analysis based on questionnaires, the aim is to examine what the older generation thinks about today's media, how they use them, and whether there are differences in groups according to age and previous work.The study selected theories bases on Marc Prenskys idea of ??digital natives, digital immigrants and Everett M Rogers book on "Diffusion of Innovation". These theories take up the difference on digital natives and digital immigrants and the spread of new technological ideas takes place through communication over different channels in time among causes people in a social system.The result of the study shows that many older people are good at making use of today's media, but also that many may feel alienation of today's media society. Development has proceeded rapidly in recent years and for the older generation it's sometimes hard to keep up.The conclusion of the study is that the older generation may need more help to discover how today's media can facilitate everyday life and enrich it with more communication despite the fact that it takes place through a screen..

Detta projekt genomfördes i samarbete med akustikern Erling Nilsson på företaget Ecophon i Hyllinge. Uppdragsgivare var musikproducenten Magnus Ågren som äger studion Flow Music i Malmö. Uppgiften var att förbättra akustiken i ett av Flow Musics studiorum. Rummet hade före projektet en hård och obehaglig akustik. För att komma fram till ett åtgärdsförslag specificerades först hur enskilda akustiska egenskaper skulle påverkas för att ge ett så bra resultat som möjligt.

The aim of this Masters thesis is to examine the use of IT, that is the Internet and other applications of personal computers, among seniors 65+. It also deals with issues of access to IT for seniors in public libraries. The theoretical background of the study consists of Rogers "Diffusion of innovations", Hektors categories of information activities, and the Swedish IT-commissions categories of motives and prerequisites for the use of IT. The research questions focus on factors motivating the use of IT, the extent and the purposes of IT use, the consequences and the barriers that IT-users experience, and views on IT in public libraries and IT courses, respectively. Qualitative interviews were carried out with nine senior IT-users.
