Hemskickade från Norge : en undersökning av de personer som skickades hem innan unionsupplösningen

Between 1814 and 1905 Sweden was in a union with Norway. During this time the two countries collaborated in many ways but there were also several differences between them. Swedish people went to Norway, often to find work, and this essay aims to examine who they were. An archive in Värmland, which people returning to Sweden during the years 1894 to 1903 were registered in, gives information about these people. From this we learn that they were mostly men in the ages 15 to 44 and they came from all over the country.

Om portamentoanvändning för violin

I have analysed the use of portamenti by violinists Janine Jansen, Itzhak Perlman, Jascha Heifetz and Nathan Milstein in the first 8 bars and the two parallel phrases of the Max Bruch Violin Concerto No. 1 in G minor. I have copied their portamenti and recorded myself performing theese phrases in style of each violinist. By doing this I have learnt new ways to use shifting on the violin for expressive purposes and realized how much there is to learn by imitating your predecessor..

Echoing nature - A design of an exhibition concept based on a natural phenomenon as a model to explore and learn

In the project Echoing Nature i have searched a design for an exhibi¬tion concept. That visualizes the natural phenomenon of self-assem¬bling materials in a simplified way. My question is, how can you emo¬tionally re-connect the modern man to nature and raise awareness. I assume my thesis that the experience of a natural phenomenon can inspire us to see a bigger context, provoke curiosity and generate an initial sense of belonging to nature. The result is an interactive sculp¬ture that consists of 3-dimensional Tetris blocks.

Referensintervjuer på folkbibliotek: En intervju- och litteraturstudie

This thesis examines the subject of reference interviews and the ways librarians form an opinion of users information needs. Using literature and interviews with three librarians I look at the questions below: - Why and when are reference interviews needed? - What significance do they have? - What ideas exist about the performance of reference interviews? - Are there any differences in librarians views of the questions above compared to views in the literature? Results from literature studies and interviews show that reference interviews can be important when librarians try to find out more about users information needs. However its neither necessary nor possible to analyse all reference questions. Librarians therefore need to determine if a reference interview is needed or not.

The children learns to read from books where the words is not put in their right purpose; for example; we can se a sun, a dear looks down in a lake. After my teacher-education in literature I became more and more interested in if it could be possible to use more fiction when you teach children how to read. I also wondered if it was possible to find readers where the sentences are put in a meaningful story.I heard of a method called Whole Language, or the kiwi-method and I decided to find out more about that method. I decided to make a comparison between the ?sound-method? and the Whole Language-method.I have been using qualitative interviews with both children and teachers with experience from these different ways of teaching.

The term lifelong learning is often associated with employability and adaptability.

Lärande enligt Montessori och Reggio Emilia : "Skillnader och likheter i syn på lärandet"

The aim of this graduate essay is to elucidate and compare the approach to learning that emerges in texts about the two educational practices Montessori and Reggio Emilia. The guiding research questions in this study are:What do Montessori and Reggio Emilia that learning is about? The mean Montessori and Reggio Emilia that learning goes to?How do you describe the Montessori and Reggio Emilia justification why it is important to learn? Through a poststructural theoretical framework and text analysis the study focused on what has been written about learning in the traditions of Montessori and Reggio Emilia. The results of the study indicate that both Montessori and Reggio Emilia look at the child in a similar way in which the child have the desire to explore and learn. Both pedagogy traditions think that the child will develop into independent people who can change society in the future for the better and with a democratic basis. The study also reveals how the Swedish curriculum (Skolverket, 98/10) is inspired both by the Reggio Emilia and Montessori traditions through describing how preschool should stimulate and challenge the child's development and learning, utilize and strengthen the interests of children to learn to conquer new experiences, knowledge and skills..
