The purpose of this master thesis is to use marketing theory on the library?s activities. The marketing theory used is the 4Ps; product, price, promotion and place, as it's presented by Philip Kotler. Because the library can be seen as a service oriented organization Christian Gronroos theory of marketing in the service industry also has been used. A case study of the public library in Broby was made to illustrate how the public libraries? activities can appear in the light of marketing theory.

The aim of this Masters thesis is to examine ideas used to legitimate Swedish digital libraries, with a focus on the cultural heritage, their relation to cultural policy and an eventual crisis within the latter. Which ideas are linked to digitalisation? How do the arguments for creating digital libraries differ between central actors? How do the digital libraries relate to cultural policy and an eventual legitimacy crisis? These are the questions this thesis seeks to answer. The theoretical starting-point consists of a legitimacy discussion and its connection to Swedish cultural policy. The method used is idea analysis.

Detta är ett naturvetenskapligt arbete som omfattas både av en kvantitativ och en kvalitativ undersökning. Syftet med arbetet är att undersöka mellanskarvens födoval i sjön Sommen, samt att närmare studera huruvida det unika beståndet av röding och öring ingår i mellanskarvens födoval. Sommens Fiskevårdsområde har fått tillstånd till skyddsjakt på mellanskarv av Länsstyrelsen och det främsta skälet skulle vara att fågeln prederar röding och öring. Genom att analysera mellanskarvens spyboll och jämföra innehållet med referensfiskar fångade från samma sjö ska vi se om beslutet från Länsstyrelsen är befogat. Insamling av spybollar och referensfiskar utfördes i fält medan analys av spybollar utfördes på laboratorium.

Media har idag ett brett utbud av olika livsstilsprogram där hjälpmedel av olika slag presenteras för att människor skall kunna förbättra sin livsstil. Ett program som uppmärksammats i detta sammanhang är Du är vad du äter. Programmet har kritiserats av yrkesverksamma inom överviktsbehandling för dess moraliserande och skuldbeläggande sätt att presentera mat och ätande.Syftet med detta arbete var att undersöka hur tittare resonerar kring TV-programmet Du är vad du äter. Syftet innefattade även att ta reda på vilka motiv tittare hade för att se Du är vad du äter samt hur de reflekterade över personer och situationer i programmet. Programidén och programmets metoder för viktminskning var andra aspekter som belystes.Tre fokusgruppintervjuer genomfördes där tittare fick se ett avsnitt av programmet.

Korröfestivalen- en bordunstämmas resa genom festivaliseringenThe Korrö festival- The establishment of a Swedish Folk Music Festival.This thesis describes how folk music festivals have been escalating during the past few and how they have influenced Swedish folk music. To reach my results I have been studying one festival in particular which is the Korrö Folk Music Festival. This event started in the mid-eighties as a small happening that attracted almost exclusively musicians that were a part of the bordooon movement. The bordoon movement gathered a couple of days in the summer at what they called the ?Korrö bordunstämma? to build instruments and play folk music.

The aims of the present study were to implement and evaluate a three-session Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) stress management intervention in a non-clinical group of university students (N = 25) and to investigate the importance of practice in an ACT-intervention. A design with pre-test and double post-test was chosen. A comparison was made between a nine-hour ACT-intervention containing practice for the participants, a two-hour lecture on ACT and stress management containing no practice for the participants and a control group. Psychological flexibility was assessed with Acceptance and Action Questionnaire-2 and mindfulness was measured with Kentucky Inventory of Mindfulness Skills. Perceived stress level was measured with Perceived Stress Scale.

This essay is a study of the market strategies and situations in the telephone business. Our problem was to examine the telecom companies´ strategies to stay competitive and cope with the new VoIP technology. We chose to do a qualitative study and four telephone interviews were made with Swedish and Dutch companies. We investigated three different categories of companies in the market; industry leaders, cable companies and broadband companies to get a broad view of the market. The theory chapter is based on different strategies that companies have to or can apply to get ahead, stay or survive in a hypercompetition.

There has also been a new spray pipe designed. The manufacturing costs of the new design have been calculated.The thesis also contains a concept generation of an alternative product to the spray pipes in installations where a high pressure washer is used.To be able to ask other manufacturers of spray pipes to quote, a demand specification based on the currently used spray pipe was made. This was then sent to two alternative suppliers.An investigation of earlier used spray pipes, and the currently used, shows that the nozzles are a big part of the total costs of the spray pipes. To attempt to reduce the nozzles high cost an concept generation was made to find the best solution for a new design.There was a request that it should be possible to change the internal brushes in the spray pipe without cutting and welding.

Bakgrund: Njurarna har en mängd livsviktiga funktioner såsom bl.a. reglering av kroppsvätskornas sammansättning, styrning av elektrolytbalansen och bildning av röda blodkroppar. Hemodialys är en behandling där kroppen renas från slaggprodukter och överflödig vätska tas bort. Sjukdomen kräver även diet- och vätskerestriktioner. Behandlingen är både tidskrävande och påfrestande för kroppen vilket leder till att patientens hela livssituation påverkas.Syfte: Syftet var att beskriva hemodialyspatienters upplevelse av sin livssituation.Metod: Litteraturstudien baserades på 12 vetenskapliga artiklar som analyserades med hjälp av en manifest innehållsanalys.Resultat: Resultatet visade att patienternas livssituation påverkades.

Diabetes typ-2 är en sjukdom som ökar i omfattning i hela världen. Bidragande faktorer är en osund livsstil präglad av inaktivitet och en ohälsosam diet. Sjukdomen kan leda till allvarliga sena komplikationer och ett begränsat liv. Diabetes typ-2 beror på en störd insulinkänslighet i vävnaden och medför ett sämre upptag av socker från blodet. En god egenvård av sjukdomen är fysisk aktivitet.

Syftet med denna studien var att undersöka huruvida den glutenfria dieten för celiakipatienter påverkar det dagliga livet. Frågeställningen är: Hur är det att som vuxen leva med celiaki i vardagen? Hur påverkar kostomläggningen och tillgänglighet av glutenfri kost det dagliga livet och den privata ekonomin? Elva vetenskapliga artiklar granskades och resultaten i dem tematiserades i fem olika teman. Dessa teman var måltider i hemmet, måltider utanför hemmet, vardagslivet och sociala aktiviteter, copingstrategier samt ekonomi och tillgänglighet. Resultaten diskuteras med Carnevalis omvårdnadsmodell som teoretisk referensram. Celiakipatienters inre och yttre resurser balanseras mot kraven som finns för att klara det dagliga livet.

The aim with this Essay is to examine the two most read magazines in Sweden covering the areas of exercising, fitness, bodybuilding, diets and ?wellness? ?Fitness and Body. Fitness?s target group is predominantly woman, while Body is almost exclusively read by men. The analysis is first done quantitatively, by systematically categorising the contents of the magazines.

AbstractWe have chosen to examine how it can be to be diagnosed with ADHD in adults. Our purpose of this study was to examine the experience of being diagnosed with ADHD in adulthood. We wanted to investigate if people feel that the diagnosis has led to a change and if so, in what way. We also wanted to investigate the impact that the participants attribute the diagnosis. We have made a qualitative study in which we interviewed five men aged 31-45 years, who have all had their diagnosis for a year or more.

The purpose of this study is to examine the change in consumer behaviour regarding the intention towards buying fruit when the layout of the fruit section has been altered. We want to increase the probability of making impulse purchases by altering the layout. In our study we have combined structured quantitative observations with structured quantitative as well as qualitative interviews, with secondary data in the form of sales data from two selected ICA-stores. We chose to use this triangulated approach in order to cross-examine our findings and overcome the limitations of one method by the use of another. Further, the Latin square design was used for the observations as a means to acknowledge the calendar effect during the experiment.
