AbstractIn 2013, the Diagnosis of Asperger?s syndrome will be eliminated as a stand-alone Diagnosis, to be subsumed into the existing Diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder. In this paper, a study with the objective of emphasizing current opinions regarding the change in Diagnosis is performed. Another objective is to examine the connection between identity and Diagnosis. The study therefore targets people with a Diagnosis, in this case Asperger?s syndrome.The empirical material of the study has been collected through a quantitative web-based survey.

Att skapa allianser och förståelse. En studie om olika professioners arbete med tonåringar som har ADHD.

The aim of this study was to investigate how various professions within the treatment of ADHD is working with the Diagnosis and the importance of the Diagnosis has been at work. We also want to investigate what the different professions think of the Diagnosis, what it has for opportunities or limitations in treatment. The chosen professions are two nurses, two treatment assistants, a psychologist and a psychotherapist. When we interviewed our chosen professions, we have used a qualitative approach with semistructured interviews. Through our interviews we got the opportunity to take part in the various professions' knowledge and experience of working with teenagers who have ADHD.

Att leva med en diagnos : Utifrån föräldrars berättelser

The purpose of our study was to identify and present experiences encountered by parents with a child with Diagnosis. Those narratives are made open for the public. Data has been collected through ten interviews with parents having children with a Diagnosis. These interviews have also been complemented by interviews with one child and one youth. The parents and the children who have been interviewed, all have their own stories and experiences of how it is to live with a Diagnosis in the family and for all families there are different Diagnosis.

AbstractWe have chosen to examine how it can be to be diagnosed with ADHD in adults. Our purpose of this study was to examine the experience of being diagnosed with ADHD in adulthood. We wanted to investigate if people feel that the Diagnosis has led to a change and if so, in what way. We also wanted to investigate the impact that the participants attribute the Diagnosis. We have made a qualitative study in which we interviewed five men aged 31-45 years, who have all had their Diagnosis for a year or more.

The purpose of this study was to investigate and analyse the consequences of being diagnosed with Asperger syndrome during adulthood. My ambition was to investigate the participants? perspective on how the Diagnosis affected their lives and relationships with their partners. To answer the purpose three questions were formulated: (1) How did the participants experience being diagnosed with Asperger syndrome? Föräldradelaktighet i förskolan ur föräldrars och pedagogers synvinkel

AbstractThis act is about how five children with dyslexia consider and understands their Diagnosis. It is also about their self-image, future sights and about how their school life is compared with before they got their Diagnosis. The study is implemented autumn 2011 on a medium-sized school in central Sweden. The survey was implemented through interviews with the five children, of which four was girls and one was a boy. The study shows that the children understand their dyslexia relatively well, but that they experience that it is bothersome to live with dyslexia.

Att se sitt barn med nya ögon: en narrativ studie om föräldrars upplevelse och meningsskapande när deras barn får diagnosen autistiskt syndrom

Based on phenomenological hermeneutics and narrative theory the study explored how parents experience and create meaning when the child receives the Diagnosis of autistic disorder. Interviews were conducted with eight parents and the analysis concerned both contents and form in their stories. The resulting aspects of the contents is presented in seven areas: stories about the time before the Diagnosis, seeking help, receiving the Diagnosis, the meaning of the Diagnosis, coping, living with autism and stories about the future. The six resulting aspects of form included: chronology of the stories, creating order out of chaos, cultural norms, rewriting the story about the child, aspects of metaphors and changing perspective. The conclusion of the study is that the Diagnosis serves as a way for the parents to transform experiences into a meaningful whole.

This paper is concerning students' with reading and writing difficulties and dyslexia. This paper clarifies the difference between reading and writing difficulties and dyslexia. The essay also gives an insight into dyslexia in an historical perspective. The purpose of the paper is to find out if teachers believe that students with a Diagnosis of dyslexia may be more or different help than students with other reading and writing difficulties. By answering this question, I conducted a survey study in two schools in two municipalities.

The aim of this study is to discuss the Diagnosis ADHD as a meaning-making discourse that is something more than just a Diagnosis with a set of symptoms. I aim to discuss that the Diagnosis is productive and can be seen as a means to control and to comfort individuals. The research was based on a method consisting of an idea analysis and a discourse analysis. I am using both a discourse analysis and a critical ideology analysis as perspectives. These perspectives are also based on a general theory of late modernity.

The use of transrectal ultrasonography of the uterus is a fairly new method for early pregnancy Diagnosis. In the present study 40 cows and 10 heifers were examined 16, 19, 22 and 25 days after artificial insemination to decide on what day an accurate pregnancy Diagnosis could be made under field conditions. A 5 and 7,5 MHz transducer were used in all examinations in order to determine wheter one of them was better for the present purpose. The animals were also examined for clinical signs of oestrus. The results shows that an accurate pregnancy Diagnosis "not pregnant" was easier to make on day 22 than on day 25 since most of the not pregnant cows then were in heat.

With this study, we have chosen to continue our B-essay about dual-Diagnosis. In the essay we have done some research on how this target group feels about the treatment from the dependent unit, psychiatry unit, social services unit and the housing environment. We wanted to know about the feelings because during the B-essay we found out that individuals whit the dual-Diagnosis is skipped between different caregivers. We used a qualitative method with six interviews from two different housings in south of Sweden. The information we got we used in our result and analysis part, where we found out that the caretaker?s thought the treatment were fine and that it was the surroundings they found the most fault with..
