En lärande organisation? - Kompetensutveckling inom en Polismyndighet
This essey discuss competence development for the employees in a unit of the Swedish police authorities. The purpose with this survey has been to show an understanding for how this unit within the Swedish police authorities works with competence development and what kind of competence investments they carry out and also why competence development is important in their organisation. To answer the purpose of the survey and the questions a qualitative method has been used remaining interviews with five involved respondents working in the investigated unit. The result shows that needs for competence development are made clear during meeting for personal development and during the local educational council inventories. Competence development for the employees is prioritated for the policemen comparing to the civil employees on account of that the policemen have a demanding work and they have to develop their work all the time because of the resisting circumstances.

The concept of sustainable development is a challenge that demands cooperation from all levels of society for it to be successful. The focus for this thesis is how politicians within the local councils understand the concept of sustainable development and how they implement it in political decision-making.The basis for the study is a questionnaire that was distributed to 303 local politicians in three municipalities of varying size in Southern Sweden. The study concentrates on departments within the local councils that are directly connected to the Swedish environmental law and the Swedish planning and construction law. One of the primary goals with the aforementioned laws is the achievement of sustainable development within one generation.The outcome of the study was that over half of the local politicians could correctly define sustainable development according to the World Commission on Environment and Development?s (WCED) definition.

This thesis has been performed for the company System Andersson as a part of the bachelors degree in information technology at the School of Engineering in Jönköping. The thesis is based on the development of an iPhone application.System Andersson has an application for Android that is being used for their MPS system (material and production control system). Their customers, however, have also showed interest in being able to use this application for iPhone.The students handle the subject of iOS developing, including the design of the application, the use of the development language Objective-C, the use of the scripting language of Json used for server connections and SQL.The primary goal with this thesis has been to improve the students knowledge in such subjects as application development for mobile platforms, in such areas as Xcode, which is the development platform that Apple uses and Objective-C, which is the development language being used. The result of this thesis is an almost fully functional iOS application, similar to the Android application with some functionality missing..

Lean Product Development is a knowledge-based business concept in order to maintain high quality, meetcustomer requirements and to make product development more efficient. An important part of the processis to add a lot of resources at an early stage and execute the development as an iterative process betweendepartments exploring many alternatives thoroughly. The work focuses on how Lean ProductDevelopment is carried out and explores how to manage interaction between different departments andexpertise with regard to cross-functional collaboration and knowledge sharing i.e. learning.The information for the studies was gathered at a major Swedish company from two projects. The projectswere carried out as cross-functional and possible key factors for cross-functional collaboration wasidentified.The results have been correlated with theories of Lean, Product development, Lean product developmentand Learning.

Faktorer som bidrar till arbetstillfredsställelse hos volontärer på Röda Korsets telefonjour Malin MattssonVolontärers arbetstillfredsställelse har visat sig vara ett begränsat område in-om forskningen. Syftet med studien var att undersöka volontärers arbetstill-fredsställelse på Röda Korsets telefonjour och se ifall faktorerna kön, ålder, utbildning, sysselsättning, civilstånd, plats, antal dagar, antal år, Röda Korsets utbildningar, volontärernas belöning, feedback från frivilligledaren, respons från uppringarna, kontakten med medjourare och volontärers trauman var relaterade till arbetstillfredsställelse. En enkätundersökning genomfördes där 102 volontärer deltog varav 15 var män. Enkäten bestod av bakgrundsfrågor, specifikt konstruerade frågor om Röda Korset samt 26 påståenden från mätinstrumentet volunteer satisfaction index. Resultatet från studien visade att variablerna, feedback från frivilligledaren, Röda Korsets utbildningar och volontärers trauman relaterade starkast till arbetstillfredsställelse.

The use of a bit in the mouth of a horse is being increasingly questioned with respect to its actual function, and is sometimes judged an obsolete instrument of control with potential to injure the horse.
The objective of the research presented herein was twofold; firstly, to investigate the actual pressure load in the mouth of the horse with regard to oral health issues, and, secondly, to investigate whether this could be a viable method to objectively measure strength exerted by a rider/driver to the mouth of the horse especially with regard to training regimes.
From the results, it is evident that these newly developed sensors have a future in equine research, although they are still under development. They can be useful both as a pedagogic teaching instrument, providing instructor and pupil with instantaneous, objective feedback on the contact between hand and mouth, as well as an aid in measuring pressure loads from our common bits.

I denna studie kommer vi att behandla begreppet bedömning för lärande. Syftet är att undersöka hur matematikläraren resonerar kring och arbetar med bedömning för lärande. Vi behandlar vad tidigare forskning har uppmärksammat om arbetet med bedömning för lärande. Lärarna som deltagit i studien via intervjuer åskådliggör att de medvetet försöker arbeta med bedömning för lärande för att främja sina elevers lärande. Arbetet med bedömning för lärande sker genom att tydliggöra målen för eleverna, ta hänsyn till elevernas tidigare kunskaper, samt feedback från lärare, kamrater och från eleverna själva.
Utmaningar i att leda ur ett arbetskaraktäristikt perspektiv
Den här kvalitativa studiens syfte var att ur ett ledarskapsperspektiv
undersöka vad chefer upplevde som signifikanta utmaningar i att leda en
arbetsgrupp utifrån de fem arbetskaraktäristika dimensionerna;
uppgiftsidentitet, uppgiftsbetydelse, variation i färdigheter, autonomi och
feedback. För att uppnå studiens syfte valdes att göra djupgående,
semistrukturerade intervjuer med fyra chefer ifrån fyra olika verksamheter med
varierande erfarenhet av ledarskap. Intervjuerna genomfördes vid personliga
intervjuer med stöd av en intervjumall men också med utrymme för lämpliga
följdfrågor för så uttömmande svar som möjligt. Resultatet av studien visade på
att utmaningar återfanns i att arbetsgruppens autonomi tillsammans med
variation i färdigheter begränsades av arbetsbeskrivning. Utmaningar upplevdes
också kring att få de anställda att förstå hela bilden samt i anställdas sätt
att nyttja eller utnyttja autonomi och hantera feedback i de fall de erbjöds.

The case study is based on the perspective of the government employees and their experience and thoughts regarding their opportunity to be a part of the organizational development. The empirical data that was generated by the case study has been analysed with New Public Management and Sense Of Coherence as a theoretical point of view.

These circumstances address the main question of the study: is there a contradiction between the UK's arms trade and the EU development policies. The objective of this study is to research the stately weapon use in three of the UK's trading partners, and how it could affect the EU development policies.
Flerspråkiga barn i förskolan : Ur ett lärarperspektiv
My purpose with this paper related to my questions was to find out how professionals preeschool teachers working on multilingualism. I also wanted to get answers on how pedagogues in the preeschool may promote multilingual children´s language development, the factors that promote multilingual children´s language development and the role parents have in the language development of multilingual children. I chose to do my study in the form of interviews with professional preeschool teachers and interviewees described including the need for more knowledge of pedagogues around multilingualism. My result based on theoretichal background and the study is that pedagogues should let the children´s all languages esemble together. A factor influencing the multilingual children´s language development is ambient attitudes to multilingualism.
Ledarens förmåga att påverka och främja medarbetarnas arbetsmotivation - En kvalitativ studie om hur arbetsmotivation främjas inom en statlig myndighet
The study aims to increase understanding and knowledge of motivation; this by
examining how the leader experiences her capability to promote employees' work
motivation. Also, how employees perceive that the leader influence and enhance
their work motivation. Interviews were conducted with a manager and two
employees of a government agency in Sweden. The results demonstrate different
opinions between manager and employees in the manager's ability to foster
motivation in the everyday work. The
leader thinks that she promotes her employees work positively and believes that
she is giving her employees attention and appreciation.
