As reptiles are becoming more common as patients in veterinary clinics, there is a need for creating new procedures regarding the care of exotic pets. The aim of this study was to develop a wound care routine adapted to reptiles, which can be used independently by a veterinary nurse due to the absence of prescription drugs or surgical techniques. The study was conducted by compiling the available research regarding wound care in reptiles, as well as research from related fields. The result indicates that polyurethane films and chlorhexidine-alcohol may advantageously be used on these patients. Hydrocolloid dressings and silver sulfadiazine dressings have adverse effects on wound healing and should not be used routinely in reptiles.

Man kommer även skapa en egen karaktär och använda sig utav några utvalda program för att skapa den och kommer även undersöka lite om de program som har använts i skapandet av den karaktär som kommer skapas för att få en bättre förståelse för hur man kan göra när man skapar en karaktär och kommer i slutet gå igenom resultatet av arbetet på denna karaktär och vad man har kommit fram till. Examensarbetet har gått ut på att uppgradera ett styrsystem och en operatörspanel för en centrifug i en kemisk industri. Projektets syfte är att centrifugen ska köras på ett mer automatiskt sätt med ett nyare system som har större tillgång till reservdelar.          Centrifugens äldre styrsystem från Siemens har bytts ut mot ett nytt Siemenssystem och den tidigare operatörspanelen från Siemens har bytts ut mot Beijer Electronic E1070 operatörspanel. Styrsystemet programmerades sedan i Siemens Simatic Step7 och operatörspanelen programmerades i Beijer Electronics E-designer.                Efter att programmeringen var klar testades kommunikationen mellan styrsystemet och operatörspanelen innan inkopplingen av det övriga systemet skedde.

In this paper we explore the relations between context and feedback generated in three user-centered evaluations of a flash-based game. Whether it?s the social context, the physical context or the degree of intrusion from the evaluator, they all contribute to the quality of the feedback received. The selection of test subjects is a narrow process, which gives the above mentioned factors different meaning. Contextual factors have shown to influence the feedback given within both usability and user-experience.

The aim of this essay was to examine how the decision-making in LVU cases are motivated in the judicial decisions. How has the principle of whats in the best interest of the child been noticeable in these judicial decisions and how are the child's needs and the consequences for the child of the drug abuse been described? When the parents have been judged to have given a non acceptable consent, how have they been described and how has the parents described the situation?Our research is of a qualitative nature, a document analysis of judicial decisions in LVU cases. We analyzed eight court cases containing decisions from County Court, Fiscal Court of Appeal and The Supreme Administrative Court.Our results showed that parents were described in the judicial argumentation as negative stereotypes and a picture of unreliability were created. What was best for the child were not expressed in words but woven into the children's needs and in most cases the consequences of the abuse of drugs were not made clear..

Undersökningen har ämnat svara på hur en spelares spelupplevelse i och uppfattning av en bana i ett spel förändrats när spelaren haft en karta mot när den inte haft en. Genom att konstruera en bana med karta och ?minikarta? undersöktes spelarens spelupplevelse och mentala modeller på banan. Undersökningen skilde dels på personer med spelvana och personer utan spelvana, dels på spelare med kartor och spelare utan kartor. Tillgången till karta visade sig knappt ha påverkat spelupplevelsen alls.

Denna rapport beskriver två nya begrepp inom speldesign; kompakt leveldesign och planerad sequence breaking. Fokus ligger på kompakt leveldesign, och har definierats som att innehålla följande tre element: Hög rumslig desnitet, lager, och backtracking. Planerad sequence breaking definieras som en mer subtil variant av alternativa rutter. Begreppen står som dels underlag för fortsatt diskussion om ämnet, då de inte förekommer i tidigare litteratur, och dels som ett sätt att förhålla sig till leveldesign som designer.Vidare beskrivs spelet Ittle Dew, vilket har skapats tillsammans med Daniel Remar i avsikt att implementera ovanstående koncept. This essay will focus on drug addicts and the world as they see it. The essay is based on intervjues with three men and one woman and participant observation of the three men´s social life in the surroundings of Stockholm. The informants? opinions and experiences are central as well as the observations made of them during an intensive fieldwork. The study which was of an exploring character has revealed a complex relationship between the informants and society.

Som grafisk designer jobbar man med att förmedla budskap via exempelvis affischer, tidningar och broschyrer. En del av designprocessen är att välja vilket papper som ska användas vid tryckningen. För att kunna välja ett papper som främjar budskapet måste det först finnas förståelse för hur människor uppfattar olika sorters papper och vilken påverkan papperet har på människors tolkning av budskapet.Detta arbete visar genom research och undersökningar vissa generella uppfattningar och åsikter som finns om papper. De huvudsakliga faktorerna som inverkar på hur ett papper uppfattas är papperets tjocklek, struktur och yta. Arbetet visar även att papperet är en del av budskapet, då ett tryckt budskap inte kan skiljas från det papper det är tryckt på.

The purpose of the essay was to discover how homeless persons want to live. Does it matter what it looks like? The method used was a qualitative study including literature and 10 interviews with ten homeless persons, of which seven lived outdoors and three in temporarily residences. The central questions were the following:How do homeless people want to live?In what sort of houses do they want to live and where?How do they look upon their situation and their future?What obstacles can occur if they for example got an apartment to live in?Are there any proposals to solve the problems?Most of them had been living outdoors for five to ten years, perhaps more, and they were worried and sad about their future.

As a designer, I find myself daily being confronted with choices which eventually can be summarizedas how we experience something. What?s the function, feeling, what colors should there be, shapes,materials, etc. Different parts will be combined to create an entirety. The only question is why we areaffected so differently by the same entirety.In this project I have examined how the relationship between a space and a product affects ourperception of a coherensy and what it is that makes us experience it so differently.I wanted to find a way to methodically explore the importance of the coherency for the experience ofa product and a space in relation to each other, in order to produce a material that can form the basisfor further work on the spatial context.I?ve looked into the psycological term central coherence and formed a scale that shows the humanabilities to perceive a context in various psychological conditions.

Systemintegration är ett omfattande ämne som innehåller en uppsjö av begrepp och teorier, Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) är den avgränsning som genomförts inom detta område och fokuserar på en mer praktisk synvinkel av systemintegration. Vidare har det även avgränsats till en designers syn på EAI. Med dessa avgränsningar har en induktiv studie genomförts av tre framstående organisationer som är verksamma inom systemintegration. Genom att genomföra intervjuer med personer som dagligen arbetar med EAI identifierades 17 faktorer. Dessa faktorer analyserades och jämfördes med befintlig teori inom området för ERP och EAI.

In this master thesis a category of men otherwise often taken for granted is examined: noncriminal,non-violent men. With the help of in-depth interviews with young men who havepreviously lived a life with drugs and criminal behaviour, I examine the young men's identityand masculinity projects. To do this, I use theories by researchers R.W. Connell and MichaelS. Kimmel, among others.
