Design som har en hög igenkänningsfaktor kan man idag uppleva har blivit mer vanlig då det ofta dyker upp nya produkter och möbler av olika slag som är lätta att känna igen och som vi därför har väldigt lätt att ta till oss. Vi mår bra av att lätt kunna förstå oss på, och man slipper tänka till och fundera kring varför objektet ser ut som det gör, det blir istället väldigt lättläst.Igenkänningsfaktorn spelar alltså en väldigt stor roll, och vi kan dra paralleller till t.ex.ståuppkomiken där ståupparen ofta försöker skapa bilder och situationer som publikenkänner igen sig i, och därför också skrattar åt skämten. Men att igenkänningsfaktorn på designen är hög innebär inte enbart fördelar, utan frågan om vad som är plagiat och inte blir väldigt aktuell när ett objekt är snarlikt ett annat. Om man tittar tillbaka i tiden kan man dra kopplingar till konstvärlden och s.k. ready-mades.

In the future the Swedish pension system will face major problems. With an increasing aging population combined with a decreasing share of working population the financing of the pension system is becoming a bigger problem than previously predicted. This means the individual himself will have a bigger responsibility to invest money for their future retirement. It has been shown that a large proportion of the people who invests for their future pension have neither the interest nor the time to actively invest their pension capital. To make it easier for those who invest for their retirement, some Swedish banks have created so-called generation funds.

This thesis presents the theory behind prototyping and user interviews as parts of requirements analysis. It further discusses how these were used in the development of a budget planning application. The implemented Web-based solution uses a new component-based design rooted in a Model-View-Controller architecture. As a result of increased property prices on apartment buildings in Halmstad many local investors thinks that the market behaves illogical. This because these investors can?t find any profitability in many real estate transactions. The valuation between different investors on the same object therefore goes their separate ways. One example of this is a property in central Halmstad which starting price was about 23 million SEK.

The project was made in cooperation with Coffee Queen AB, Arvika. The task was to develop and design a new cooler for the milk to Jura Impressa X9, an espresso machine. The good assistance with staff at Coffee Queen and engineers in China and at KPA in Karlstad led to a solution to the problem. It was a long road to get there, many different concepts was developed. When the day came to decide which concept to work with, the choice stood between two different technical solutions.

The project Design analysis and proposals of plastic screw caps in Australia was performed at Högskolan Dalarna incooperation with University of Western Sydney, Australia. The Swedish company Tetra Pak, in Lund, were assigner forthe project that was performed 2006-2007. The commission was to do a survey about the packages for non-carbonateddrinks in Australia. The bottles had to be plastic, able to open in one step and with focus on the caps.The project has result in design analysis and a new proposal of a plastic screw cap for the Australian market. Sixbottles were choosen and they were all testet on 20 consumers each with a Likert-scale test.

För att styrningen ska fungera på ett tillfredställande sätt så är det viktigt att ha ett informationssystem som kan generar rätt information som ska ligga till grund för beslut, planering och uppföljning av verksamheten.Det problem som uppstått i Paradisverkstan Design AB och som ligger till grund för uppsatsen är att det finns någon löpande kontrollen av företagets ekonomi. Företagets ekonomistyrning är i behov av förbättringar då verksamheten under de senaste åren vuxit i omfattning. Informationsflödet i företaget är inte tillräckligt i förhållande till dess storlek och för att lösa detta krävs ett fungerande system för internredovisning. Syftet med uppsatsen är att identifiera kriterierna för ett bra internredovisningssystem för framtagning av rapporter åt Paradisverkstaden Design AB och finna utgångspunkter för vidare utveckling av systemet. Tillvägagångssättet i studien är en abduktiv forskningsansats med en kvalitativ undersökningsmetod.

Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka om, och i sådana fall hur, yrkesverksamma inom teaterverksamhet ser på och arbetar med begreppen ?helhetsupplevelse? och ?upplevelserum?. Vidare, huruvida de yrkesverksamma på tre utvalda teatrar inom stockholmsområdet, använder sig av ?rumslig design? som verktyg för att skapa förutsättning till en helhetsupplevelse för teaterbesökaren.För att nå en diskussion och slutsats har jag gjort kvalitativa intervjuer med marknadschefer, konstnärliga ledare och scenografer vid teatrarna. Jag har även själv besökt teatrarna vid ett tillfälle när en föreställning ägt rum för att analysera min egen upplevelse vid besöken.

'Hir in the box' is a study about the gender perspective in packaging design and how it is today. The study deals with the product category razors, for both women and men, to examine and compare products with the same function but with different designs. Based on an analysis of how packages are designed for different sexes, information should be given on how gender-neutral packaging can be designed and used in the future to reach the market. The purpose of the study is also to contribute to future research on the subject. To fulfill the purpose of this study, nuanced and in-depth data is collected by means of a small-N-study and a qualitative study in the form of open group interviews where the survey units are reviewed and discussed.

While who made it and who assembled it might vary, and it does not matter from now on, the other parts about protective barriers and personalization might be more accurate.

The purpose of this thesis was to investigate how the distance between real estate manager and the managed item influenced the real estate management process. The overall real estate management within Lantmännen Fastigheter AB was investigated to give suggestions on how to improve the quality of the real estate management within the company. To do this, questionnaires, interviews and observations was performed within the Lantmännen Fastigheter AB organization. Real estate managers answered questions about their role as real estate manager, maintenance planning, decision processes, leasing and strategies within the company.The analysis of the questionnaires, interviews and observations showed that the real estate managers wants to rearrange their spent working hours around on working tasks to spend more time on the tasks that brings income and spend less time on tasks that are unsatisfying and unnecessary. The analysis also shows in which areas the real estate managers want more support and education and that they mostly work with unplanned maintenance.

The water tower in Uppsala city forest was built in the late 1950's in what is now a nature reserve. The unique place was supposed to be visited by people, which is currently not the situation. This bachelor thesis aimed to perform an analysis and make a design proposal for the environment surrounding the water tower. The analysis was performed using the methodology previously described by architect Arne Branzell. The methodology focuses on how a space is perceived by a person moving through it.

The following report comprises my bachelor´s thesis in Industrial design, 30 hp. It is executed in collaboration with Bonum senior housing, who has been the client and assignment- maker of this project.The goal was to design a bench for their entrances, which could represent not only the needs of the target group but also Bonum as a trademark. The work is done with great care for both human kind and the environment, with sustainability as beacon.The design process has been followed.Initially, you will find the definition of a bench for entrances, the framework including inclusive as well as sustainable design, a function- and market analysis followed by the inspiration part of the project. Getting to know the target group and their specific needs has been essential for this work.Investigations about what senior house living and senior products are and what the target group thinks and feels, has been done. As a result, two ?personas? has been developed.With the help of a purposely chosen group of people, surveys and ergonomic studies has been executed, as well as prototype-testing.The fact-finding has formed the stable and unavoidable foundation of this project, which later on gets more creative and idea based.
