I det västerländska samhället idag lever vi allt längre, samtidigt blir de äldre allt fler. Det finns idag en uppsjö av olika hjälpmedel till den äldre generationen, ett av de mest använda är rollatorn. Med hjälp av en rollator kan en människa uppleva en större känsla av oberoende, frihet och ett ökad socialt liv. Rollatorn är idag ett väl använt och för vissa ett oumbärligt hjälpmedel. En rollator användare behöver ibland röra sig ute i mörker, vi lever i ett land där vi upplever perioder med mycket mörker, norra delen av Sverige har ett stort antal mörkertimmar på året och för att förbättra ett redan bra hjälpmedel kommer denna rapport ta fram en belysning till rollatorn.Vad är det som händer med oss när vi åldras, vad sker med kroppen fysiskt och psykiskt? Vilka kognitiva förändringar kan vi förväntas erhålla när vi åldras? Rapporten tar upp vad som händer med kroppen när vi blir äldre och vilka olika former av nedsättningar som erhålls psykiskt och fysiskt.För att besvara forskningsfrågan "Vad innebär användarnytta samt användarvänlighet för design mot äldre?" tar rapporten även upp begreppen design och användarvänlighet och tittar närmare på delar som användbarhet, användarupplevelse, användarnytta, design och olika designprinciper, samt så har intervjuer utförts.Studiens forskningsresultat beskrivs i en tabell där sammanställda designprinciper har ställts mot olika regressioner som man erhåller vid en stigande ålder och visar på vilka delar av en design som behöver förtydligas vid vilken form av regression.

I vår produktion har vi tagit fram ett system för order- och lagerhantering, med vikt på realtidsuppdateringar, åt en extern mottagare där infrastrukturen inte hängt med i företagets utveckling. Vi valde detta projekt i syfte att bredda våra kunskaper inom både programmering och projekthantering. Denna slutreflektion tar upp den förundersökning vi gjorde för att kunna besluta om vilka verktyg vi använde i utvecklingen, den tar även upp vårt sätt att hantera och planera projektet. Under projektet har vi arbetat med en egenutformad arbetsprocess vilken även beskrivs här. --- Our production has been to design a system for ordering and supply management with emphasis on realtime updates to an external recipient, where the infrastructure has not kept pace with the development of the company.

Jag fascineras av produktion och hur vi bemästrar tekniker för att skapa vår omgivning. Vi implementerar vetenskap på material och kallar det ingenjörskonst. I mitt examensarbete utgår jag från materialet trä, som är levande och varmt, och genom traditionell böjträteknik formar jag det. Jag fördjupar mig i tekniken genom studiebesök, egna experiment samt teori.Men detta är också design, jag skapar åt användaren. Många av mina timmar går åt att undersöka, utforska och leta form och funktion.

AimThe aim of this study is to through managers in eldercares deskriptions of the systematic qualityleadingsystem examine the implementation process of this system in the eldercare in the municipality of Halmstad.  BackgroundIn this paper the background explains elderly care and social work context, leadership in change and implementation processes. The theoretical frame illustrates Vedungs implementation theory and Webers model of bureaucracy MethodTo collect empirical data for this study, a qualitative research design was used in which eleven managers within Halmstads municipality home care management stood as respondents. ResultThe respondents highlighted a variety in the use of the systematic quality management system tool. The result describes that several obstacles were experienced in the use of the systematic quality system. ConclusionBased on the descriptions the respondents gives of the implementation process of the systematic quality management of Halmstad municipality home care management, the conclusion can be drawn that the implementation process has not resulted in the employees making use of systematic quality management in practice. The systematic quality management system that will ensure the quality of the care work is thus used to a limited extent..

The project has been oriented for development of fixtures to ateljé Lyktan to provide a more efficiency line. In the year 2012 the company invested in a new coating booth, which leads to opportunities to upgrading the fixtures and also new design. The request is to minimize the area for storage of fixtures, and therefore should fixtures be designed to apply as many articles as possible The priority of products that fixtures have development to has been products that are most frequently coated and new products that don?t have any fixtures. The product families that the project has been having focus on is TIME and FOVEA with RONDO. In the developing of fixtures have ideas been discussed with the staff, and instructions were made about how you are suppose to hang up the different products.

The project in question is a joint effort between students at Karlstad University and Marcus Norström at the company Hovercraft solutions. The project is divided into two parts, one focusing on the purely technical aspects of engineering the product and one focusing on the design aspects of the product development. The project described in this report is the design of the product. The assignment from Hovercraft solutions is regarding design engineering of a cabin for the hovercraft 380TD from the manufacturer Griffon hovercraft. The product lacks a cabin and none is offered from Griffon at the time being. 380TD is a relatively small hovercraft with a length of 6.8 metres and a width of 3.8 metres.The surface available for the cabin is not much different from the body of a car.Because of this, research has been focused primarily on car bodies.The product development process used in the project is following a systematic approach.From a chosen concept, the project was finalized with a CAD-modell as well as a detailed prototype.The weight target of 80 kg was reached and the ergonomic aspects were considered developing the sight field, roof- and entrance height.    .

Denna studie har som syfte att ta fram ett designförslag på ett ögonrörelsestyrt infotainment-system samt utvärdera detta. Fokusen ligger på den funktionella design och dess för- och nackdelar. Studien tar upp tre olika designförslag varav ett valdes att göra en prototyp av. Prototypen skapades med hjälp av HTML5, Javascript och Python. Detta kopplades sedan samman med ett ögonrörelsesystem tillhörande Smart Eye AB.

The shooting sport is one of the most widespread sports in the world and it isbeing practice in most countries. Based on their own experiences, in competition -and hobby shooting, the client M4Solutions found a demand and need for ashooting target that is manufactured in Sweden.The purpose of the project has been to develop, with the help of Marcus Walldén,two shooting targets from idea to finished product. These two shooting targets,Plate Rack Target and Dueling Tree, would each be equipped with a mechanicalresetting system but will in the future have the ability to be provided with anelectronic resetting system.The project from the client was divided into two theses. One of these two, writtenby Marcus Walldén, focused on the tripod parts and the overall design work forboth Plate Rack Target and Dueling Tree. The thesis that is presented in thisreport have focused on resetting systems, the design of protective plates and otherperipherals for both shooting targets.This work has primarily been in CAD environment where design, constructionand development has been given free rein.

The company Bergteamet, Boliden, Sweden, is installing ventilation shafts of the Garpenberg mine. For such work a platform is needed which you can stand on and work from. The Shaft Reinforcement Team at Bergteamet performs the installation work and is the sponsor of the platform. The project described in this report is performed at the department MEC, Mining Equipment Construction, which has been given the task to design and construct the platform, customized for the current shaft. After this the platform is manufactured and inspected at the workshop at Bergteamet.The design work was carried out as follows:- After an initial meeting a requirement specification was worked out, describing the problem and previous experiences of platforms and requirements for the design and equipment.- A concept sketch was developed with consideration of surrounding factors.- A constructed 3D model was presented along with the choice of materials.

The management of assets in organisations today can be a challenging task and optimising their usage is critical to ensure maximum profit. For rental businesses offering tangible products efficient management of movable assets are an essential part of the business strategy. The main purpose of this study is to investigate how asset management and asset information management can be carried out in rental businesses and in what ways information technology can support it. By doing a literature review combined with a case study where three rental businesses and their use of information technology were examined we could identify several important aspects regarding asset information management. The results we have found is that rental businesses with a high degree of digitization in existing asset information management systems are able to rationalize existing work processes, which in some ways changes the roles of employees.

Our employer, Gaddad, is a tattoo and piercing community that was created in 2006 with the basic idea to make it easier for people to get in touch with the tattoo artists and piercers from all over Sweden. With the homepage?s popularity at 2009 they decided to expand with the news page Inkzine. 2011 they contacted us with a plan to expand the homepage to Europe and then merge their two sites under the name Inkzine.The goal of this project was to create design suggestions for Gaddad / Inkzine that both the administration and the current users liked and would consider implementing on the website. In order to evaluate the current design and our suggestions we decided to use two questionnaires .

The following is an explorative work on various forms of collaboration. The core of our exploration revolves around the idea of co-operation as a tool for examination, a collective working method, the input/output within creative practices as well as a phenomena in its own right? It is however not ?simply? about collaboration, but rather places as much focus on a highly personal search for new working methods, new approaches towards research and on the development of our relationship to graphic design. Vår kandidatuppsats handlar om användning och utveckling av Kustpilens biljettautomat. Vi har, genom etnografiska metoder, studerat hur människor använder sig av biljettautomaten vid köp av en tågbiljett. För att generera designidéer och utveckla vårt designförslag har vi utgått från dessa studier. Vi har sett hur viktigt det är för användarna att få feedback på utförda handlingar. Biljettautomatens design är viktig för att uppmana kunderna till rätt användning.

Världen genomgår ett skifte mot ett mer tjänsteorienterat samhälle och det intellektuella kapitalets värdeskapande egenskaper blir allt viktigare att kunna hantera. Ett företags resursomvandlingar har genom resursbaserad teori tydliggjort det intellektuella kapitalets värdeskapande. Forskare inom området har kommit fram till att det finns generella mönster av resursomvandlingar, bland annat för professionella tjänsteföretag. Tidigare forskning har i princip inte behandlat en systematisk jämförelse mellan professionella tjänstebolag, varför denna studie kommer att göra en jämförelse mellan revisionsbyråer och arkitektbyråer.Syftet med studien är därför att förklara två olika professionella tjänsteföretags resursomvandlingar, för att identifiera om de följer tidigare forsknings generella mönster eller om de skiljer sig åt i förhållande till varandra på grund av skilda egenskaper inom branscherna. De branschspecifika egenskaperna kommer utav nämnarna: klientmakt, kommersialiseringen och konkurrensen.Studien har en deduktiv ansats av kvantitativ karaktär med både en jämförande- och tvärsnittsdesign.

Abstract During object-oriented system development, programming should be preceded by analysis and design to assure that the system fulfils the demands of the customer and simplify during the development phase and documentation. When modeling the analysis and design phases, several different notations may be used. One of these is the UML (Unified Modeling Language) which this thesis will cover. The aim is to compare the use of the UML i practice versus what is said in the literature. The investigation is built upon interviews at different companies to receive their reflections about the UML.
