The company Bergteamet, Boliden, Sweden, is installing ventilation shafts of the Garpenberg mine. For such work a platform is needed which you can stand on and work from. The Shaft Reinforcement Team at Bergteamet performs the installation work and is the sponsor of the platform. The project described in this report is performed at the department MEC, Mining Equipment Construction, which has been given the task to design and construct the platform, customized for the current shaft. After this the platform is manufactured and inspected at the workshop at Bergteamet.The design work was carried out as follows:- After an initial meeting a requirement specification was worked out, describing the problem and previous experiences of platforms and requirements for the design and equipment.- A concept sketch was developed with consideration of surrounding factors.- A constructed 3D model was presented along with the choice of materials.

Our employer, Gaddad, is a tattoo and piercing community that was created in 2006 with the basic idea to make it easier for people to get in touch with the tattoo artists and piercers from all over Sweden. With the homepage?s popularity at 2009 they decided to expand with the news page Inkzine. 2011 they contacted us with a plan to expand the homepage to Europe and then merge their two sites under the name Inkzine.The goal of this project was to create design suggestions for Gaddad / Inkzine that both the administration and the current users liked and would consider implementing on the website. In order to evaluate the current design and our suggestions we decided to use two questionnaires .

This paper is about transferring a feeling from a physical place to the Internet. The paper explores methods on how this transfer is done. Websites have a tendency to not portray the company behind it in a correct way. For companies with a distinct esthetic and work hard on their image and brand it is important that this hard work is portrayed correctly in every aspect. The problems this paper explores are: the importance of personas in a design process, methods of transferring a feeling from a physical place with design and how this can be tested, and using open-source content management systems in creating usable websites.

Vår kandidatuppsats handlar om användning och utveckling av Kustpilens biljettautomat. Vi har, genom etnografiska metoder, studerat hur människor använder sig av biljettautomaten vid köp av en tågbiljett. För att generera designidéer och utveckla vårt designförslag har vi utgått från dessa studier. Vi har sett hur viktigt det är för användarna att få feedback på utförda handlingar. Biljettautomatens design är viktig för att uppmana kunderna till rätt användning.

Syftet med detta examensarbete har varit att ta fram ett nytt användargränssnitt till SCAN COINs insättningsmaskin CDS 760. Företaget har i dagsläget inga egna genomtänkta bildförslag som passar CDS 760 att erbjuda kunden, detta upplevs som ett problem. Vårt mål har därför varit att göra ett gränssnitt som har hög användarvänlighet och som känns SCAN COIN-mässigt. Gränssnittet måste nå ut till alla typer av användare då en insättningsmaskin inte riktar sig mot en specifik målgrupp. För att uppnå detta mål har marknadsanalyser och studiebesök gjorts.

De problem som följer den traditionella systemutvecklingen är att det är många informationssystem som inte blir implementerade eller använda på grund av att användarna inte accepterat det nya informationssystemet, likaså är ofta projekten överbudgeterade och tidsöverskridande. En av orsakerna till detta är att användarna inte deltar aktivt under utvecklingsprocessen, vilket gör att systemutvecklarna inte får all den information de behöver för att utveckla ett informationssystem som motsvarar förväntningarna.I detta examensarbete undersöks om tillvägagångssättet participatory design (PD), som innebär att användaren aktivt deltar i hela utvecklingsprocessen, går att integrera med den traditionella systemutvecklingsansatsen, där utvecklingen sker med användarna som stöd till systemutvecklarna.Integrationen har gjorts genom att dels byta ut tekniker i systemutvecklingsmetoden SSADM och dels genom att kombinera SSADMs tekniker med PD-tekniker. Detta resultat har används tillsammans med intervjuer för att avgöra om PD-tekniker kan användas i alla traditionella systemutvecklingsmetoder. Resultatet av integrationen visar att det är möjligt att integrera PD-tekniker med den traditionella systemutvecklingsansatsen..

Stockholm är en växande stad och för att bemöta det behov av bostäder som expansionen medför, krävs att befintliga fastigheter utvecklas och får nya, bättre anpassade ändamål. Det är framförallt viktigt att utveckla de fastigheter som är belägna i attraktiva områden med pågående stadsutveckling eller goda möjligheter för ny stadsutveckling.Denna rapport behandlar utvecklingen av Vandenbergh 9, ett kontorskomplex från tidigt 1970-tal till ett modernt bostadshus. Rapporten resulterar i förslagshandlingar över hur den invändiga gestaltningen kan komma att se ut. Förslaget följer alla de lagar, stadgar och rekommendationer som idag ställs för byggnation i Sverige.Detta resulterade i sex individuella plan, men för att främja hållbart och rationellt byggande har ett stort fokus lagts på modulbyggande. Abstract During object-oriented system development, programming should be preceded by analysis and design to assure that the system fulfils the demands of the customer and simplify during the development phase and documentation. When modeling the analysis and design phases, several different notations may be used. One of these is the UML (Unified Modeling Language) which this thesis will cover. The aim is to compare the use of the UML i practice versus what is said in the literature. The investigation is built upon interviews at different companies to receive their reflections about the UML.

The purpose of this study was to develop recommendations for using more efficient lighting and better graphic design to create a more uniform structure in the exhibition hall ?Road to the past? in Jönköping County Museum by answering the following questions at issue:1) How are the objects in the exhibition hall ?Road to the past? exposed today?2) How can you use lighting and graphic design to create structure in the exhibition and strengthen the expression in the exhibition?Our work is based on observations and open group interviews. We observed the exhibition hall ?Road to the past? during day and evening. In the same hall, we observed a guided tour that we followed up with open group interviews.

This Bachelor?s thesis consists of two parts; one with prefabrication (prefab) in focus and thesecond part includes detail design of a house project. These parts are linked together by designingsome parts of the house project as prefabricated.The focus section investigates how prefabrication can act time-, costs- and environmentallyeffective to a building project. This is investigated by combining literary sources with sourcesbased on reality in the shape of interviews. Det har visats sig uppkomma användbarhetsrelaterade problem vidförflyttning av ett system från en stationär miljö till en mobil miljö. Rapporten har undersöktvilka utmaningar som uppkommer när ett system flyttas från en mobil miljö till en annan snarlikmobil miljö och tar sin utgångspunkt i Ecodriving-lösningar för tunga fordon. En kvalitativundersökning genomfördes för att undersöka och identifiera de utmaningar som uppkom.Analyserat material låg till grund för framtagningen av en prototyp.

When forces in foundation piles are calculated according to classic theory, thefoundation are assumed to be infinitely rigid which means that the foundation will notbend. High buildings need their whole width to be stable and use the ground floorwall as a foundation. But when, for example windows are needed in the ground floorwall, the stiffness of the foundation decreases which change the forces in the piles. Inthis report the difference of pile forces versus classic theory has been analyzed, and ifpile forces can be calculated as in classic theory. Further on, the effects of the wallmovement were analysed and how the buildings crack safety would be affected by themovement at the ground floor.

Den här uppsatsen beskriver ett försök att skapa en webbdesign för gemensam hemleverans av matkassar åt webbtjänsten Mealplanner. Varför det här är av intresse är för att spara både tid och pengar för företagen som erbjuder tjänsten samt för att låta kunden skära ner på leveranskostnaden. Problemet ligger i att låta kunder i ett närområde av varandra kunna samarbeta för att uppnå målet med gemensamma beställningar och reducerade leveranskostnader. För att lyckas skapa en design som uppfyller en bra funktionalitet användes beprövad måldrivet designarbete framtaget av Kim Goodwin. Resultatet är en framtagen design som låter användare samarbeta på webbplatsen genom kontaktmöjligheter och visualisering av varandras beställningsspecifikationer.

Kognitiv beteendeterapi (KBT) har mest evidens vid social fobi, och på senare år har även guidad självhjälp baserad på KBT visat goda resultat. Acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) är en del av den tredje vågens KBT och har visat lovande resultat vid ångestsyndrom. Företrädare för ACT har varnat för riskerna med tekniker för att utmana negativa automatiska tankar. Studien syftar till att med en single case experimentell design med multipel baslinje (N=9) studera effekterna av kognitiv omstrukturering (KO) och kognitiv defusion (KD) i form av guidad självhjälp på social ångest, socialt undvikande, psykologisk flexibilitet, defusion, samt frekvens av och trovärdighet hos negativa automatiska tankar. Resultaten visade att KO och KD inte enbart påverkade de processer som teorierna predicerar utan även den andra behandlingens processer..
