A rhetorical analysis of the educational interactive film ?Riskprofilen?, produced by the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency (Swedish: Myndigheten för Samhällsskydd och Beredskap). This essay uses the theories and methods of Procedural Rhetoric, as described by Professor Ian Bogost, and Visual Rhetoric, as described by Professor Brigitte Mral to analyse the interactive and visual component parts of the artefact, and compares them to the intended purposes of the artefact as stated by documents pertaining to its creation, found to be those of educating the public; marketing the agency; and driving traffic to its webpage. The artefact is through analysis found to fulfil the purposes of marketing the Agency and of likely increasing traffic to the website upon which it is hosted. Regarding the primary, educational purpose this analysis finds that the artefact does not teach a user the accident-avoidance strategies it claims to do, but is Dependent upon further materials..

Nedläggningar och nyetableringar. En studie av hur folkbibliotekssituationen förändrats i Göteborg under 90-talet med hänsyn till stadsdelsnämndsreformen.
The purpose of this masters thesis is to examine the arguments that are being used when closing and establishing peoples libraries. During the 90:ies, in the community of Gothenburg, 4 public libraries were closed and another 3 public libraries were opened. A possible reason for this change lies in the reform from the city Committee that split the community of Gothenburg into 21 pieces; all with one centrally appointed political Committee. The library activity has since the reform was implemented got worse in some areas, foremost in the already neglected city sections, and better in some areas, which where able to establish new libraries. Argumentation analysis indicates that the arguments used at closure where mainly economical and neither the number nor relevance and validity of the arguments where good.

Local forest governance and benefit sharing from reduced emissions from deforestation and forest degradation (REDD) : case study from Burkina Faso
Africa is one of the regions most affected by climate change. However its forests are important carbon sinks for the whole world, and if recognised as a global public good, could be conserved and contribute to green house gas emission reductions. A global mechanism, Reduced Emissions from Deforestation and forest Degradation(REDD+) aims to help developing countries in reducing emissions from deforestation and forest degradation, and enhancement of carbon stocks. REDD+ strategies may, however exclude local forest Dependent communities from forests in order to conserve and maximise carbon stocks, thus having a severe impact on local livelihoods. Therefore, how local communities can participate and share benefits from REDD+ is a key concern. This study investigates how three forest Dependent communities in the Nazinon forest, in Southwest Burkina Faso could financially benefit from a REDD+ project.

The lions at Kolmårdens zoo are vaccinated against Feline Panleukopenivirus
(FPV). In 1994 there was an outbreak among the lions at the zoo of FPV disease.
A retrospective study has been made to measure the antibodytiters in vaccinated
lions and lions that lived during the outbreak. An ImmunoPeroxidase Monolayer
Assay (IPMA) was used to analyze the titers in the sera from the lions.
Lions were divided into five groups. Group 1, 2 and 3 contained lions vaccinated
one, two and three times respectively (a total of 40 animals). The lions of Group 4
were born in 2004 (six lioncubs) and were vaccinated according to different
regimes and the changes in antibodytiters were followed as respose to vaccination

ETT DELAT LAND, ETT DELAT F?RTROENDE En teoripr?vande analys av allm?nhetens f?rtroende f?r h?gsta domstolen i ett polariserat USA
America finds itself divided in the midst of strict abortion laws and a contentious presidential
election. This era of polarization, raises the question of whether such a great division has
permeated through to the U.S Supreme Court. This paper uses two dominant theories of
legitimacy; traditional and ideological, respectively, to analyze and compare this issue. The
theories are compared empirically by investigating the level of public trust across opposing
political affiliations. Unlike most previous research, the results suggest that variation in trust
aligns with the ideological distance to the Court between democratic and republican voters.
Trust is also found to be Dependent on whether the electorate agrees with the decisions of the
court or not.
