This thesis describes the process of developing a reservation system for common resources through a TV-interface. The system is developed in cooperation with the company Dreampark and is built to work in their platform for TV, Dreamgallery. The main goal was to develop a reservation system and to make it work with Dreamgallery, to develop a demonstration version of the system. The thesis describes the approach for developing an easy-to-use and customisable program and interface for making reservations. How this is inserted into an existing program in a suitable way.

Detta examensarbete har genomförts på uppdrag av Totalförsvarets Forskningsinstitut. Examensarbetet är ett av fyra delprojekt i projektet Telekommunikationer för strid i urban miljö. Projektet syftar till att ge förslag på metoder och utrustning som kan underlätta för soldaten på taktiskt nivå, i Försvarsmaktens insatsförband, genom att förbättra informationsinhämtning och -överföring.Syftet med examensarbetet är att i en praktisk demonstration visa nyttan med MIMOsystem antingen genom ökad kapacitet eller genom ökad tillgänglighet.Examensarbetet är uppdelat i tre olika delar: förstudie, utveckling av teknikdemonstrator i hårdvara samt demonstrationer och presentationer. Demonstratorn är byggd medGNU Radio mjukvara, som körs på två Linux-maskiner, med Universal Software Radio Peripheral som RF hårdvara. För att visa fördelarna med MIMO har spatiell diversitet implementerats i en mottagare.Implementationen visar att bitfelshalten reduceras till en tredjedel jämfört med en SISOmottagare..

Modellen är ett kraftfullt redskap i designprocessen. Inte bara på grund av dess pedagogiska värde vid en presentation eller demonstration av något, den är även ett värdefullt verktyg i designprocessens tidiga stadier. Jag har byggt en modell och använt den som ett skissverktyg när jag utformat flera olika förslag på utformning av en trädgård i en norrsluttning. I metoden beskriver jag hur jag konstruerat modellen och hur jag gått till väga när jag använt den i min designprocess. I resultatet redovisas de olika förslagen och idéerna jag kommit fram till med modellen som redskap. Genom att inte bara kunna se utan även känna höjdskillnaderna och formerna i trädgården med mina händer så har modellbyggandet hjälpt mig att förstå platsen på ett bättre sätt och det har hjälpt mig att utforma och presentera sex olika förslag på utformning av trädgården som jag redovisar i det här arbetet..

This study aims to investigate possible correlations between cognitive functions and self perceived psychological wellbeing, possible correlations between cognitive functions and degree of mindfulness and possible correlations between degree of mindfulness and self perceived psychological wellbeing. 18 patients diagnosed with ICD-10 taking part in a transdiagnostical cognitive behavioural group therapy participated in the study. The study measures relevant variables before and after a group therapy. Of the 18 patients participating, only 11 were able to be tested on both occasions due to time limit. The following tests are used: Rey Auditory Verbal Learning Test, Wechsler Adult Inventory Scale-III, Trail Making Test, Controlled Oral Word Association Test, Colour Word Test, Beck's Anxiety Inventory, Beck's Depression Inventory, Quality of Life Inventory and Kentucky Inventory of Mindfulness Skills.

Alla lärare jag intervjuat anser att laborationerna framförallt ökar förståelsen av abstrakta begrepp inom ämnet. En demonstration är bra typ av experiment eftersom en sådan kan göra en lektion mer intressant och nyttig för eleverna men det är också viktigt att eleverna laborerar själva och får laborativa färdigheter. Lärarna använder sig mest av slutna laborationer i sitt arbete och det kan förklaras med vanan att genomföra sådana och att öppna laborationer är betydligt mer tidskrävande. Fördelen med slutna laborationer är att de lätt kan belysa hur någonting fungerar i praktiken. Nackdelen är att de inte är så stimulerande för elevernas tänkande och utveckling.

Automationscenter & Bråvalla Elteknik AB is a company that offers the market completed total solutions where the customer can operate and monitor their production from the terminal. In these total solutions they lack standard circuit which are developed by the company and which could manoeuvre/control/monitor controlled process objects. This report defines the work of developing the most common standard circuits.The report is initiated by a short theoretical part about PLC and the PLC system, with a connected terminal, which has been used. Thereafter, the turnout of the demands of specification is reported, after discussing with the supervisor in the course of the project. The report concludes with a disclosure of how the programming, the documentation and the testing have proceeded and a final discussion concerning the project and proposals on continuation.The result is a CD with the documentation of standard circuits and how they are implemented in a new project.

Ungernrevolten 1956 var en kort intensiv revolt som varade i tolv dagar där ungerska frihetskämpar revolterade emot det kommunistiska styret i landet En relativt lugn demonstration startad av ungerska studenter växte snabbt och ledde snart till en väpnad revolt emot den ungerskkommunistiska regimen. Några dagar av reformer mot ett liberalare ungerskt statsskick avbröts abrupt av de ryska trupperna som efter tolv dagar slog ned revolten och återtog makten i landet igen. Denna studie syftar att genom fem svenska dagstidningar med olika politiska tendens undersöka Ungernrevolten 1956 och hur den behandlades i de olika dagstidningarnas ledarartiklar. Ledarartiklarna analyseras med hjälp av Vedungs (1971) modell som används för att kartlägga politiska debatter. Resultatet visar att det finns klara skillnader mellan de olika tidningarna hur de presenterar revolten, man kan även se vissa samband till deras politiska inriktning..

In the year of 2006 I moved to South Africa for a year, a land that has fascinated me because of its history. During the time of my stay I became very surprised how strongly apartheid permeates the community where the white South Africans today are building walls around themselves. Through media we get surrounded with pictures that media creates and to find information regarding what?s happening in the world this is, most often, the primary source. Therefore I believe it?s interesting to explore how two different local newspapers from the county of Kalmar, with two different ideologies, present pictures of the same event, namely the revolt of Soweto in 1976 and how these two newspapers relates to racial policies.

Fornföreningen Fibula on the Aland Islands contacts the author because its members want to create a museum.The purpose of this two years master?s thesis in Archive, Library and Museum studies is to shed light on what a museum really is. The research question I have answered is ?what is a museum and is this what Fibula really wants in their reconstructed Viking village??. Based on interview material, ethnographic field studies, relevant research in the subject and documents from Fibula, I have answered the research question.

Upplandsstiftelsen är en organisation med målet att gynna friluftslivet i Uppsala län. De förvaltar ca trettio naturreservat, rekreationsområden och Upplandsleden. Besökarundersökningar kan ge information som är användbar för att bidra till stiftelsens mål. Syftet med arbetet var att fram en plan för genomförande av upprepade besökarundersökningar på stiftelsens områden och leden. Planen skulle inkludera besökarstudier och besöksräkning.

Scania provides a fleet management system for hauliers who want to control their fleets in anefficient way. The system includes an onboard computer with touch screen called ScaniaInteractor where the driver can access GPS navigation, order support, message service and otherfunctionalities. The purpose of this thesis is to develop a concept for logging the user interactionon the Interactor and analyze the result which enables further development and optimization ofthe interface.A demonstration application is designed, implemented and tested for the purpose of showing thepossibilities and difficulties with logging of interaction. The result shows that logging is quiteeasy to implement and that the amount of produced data is small and therefore not expensive totransfer via GPRS to a central server where searching and analysis can be done. On the otherhand, the biggest challenge lies in the analysis and interpretation of the logged data and to applyit to the development of the interface.

This Master thesis aims to study the relation between Swedish governmental cultural policy and cultural events at two Swedish public libraries. The Masters thesis demonstrates how national cultural policy regulates every part of the public library. This demonstration is a result based upon national cultural policy documents and interviews with employees at two public libraries in Sweden. The conclusion that national cultural policy regulates this part of the public library is drawn with help of the circle of culture as applied in Culture Studies and Michel Foucault theories of power. The thesis contains the answer of four questions, two involving cultural policy and the other two events at the library.

Utgångspunkten i detta arbete är vårt intresse för hur elever uppnår förståelse i fysik och om/hur de ser kopplingar till verkligheten/vardagen. Anser gymnasieelever att det är viktigt med denna koppling? I vårt arbete har vi valt att dela in fysikundervisningen i fyra moment, genomgång, problemlösning, demonstration samt laboration, här har vi skrivit momenten i ordningen, från det mest abstrakta till det mest konkreta. Vårt syfte är att redogöra för de fyra momentens betydelse i undervisningen när det gäller att alla elever ska kunna uppnå förståelse. Vi har valt att utforma en elevenkät med ett antal frågor kring fysikundervisning och bl.a.

The aim of this study was to examine the social relationships between children and librarians during reference interviews. Using qualitative interviews with five children's librarians I illustrate attitudes and behaviours during a reference situation which take place in psychological, social and even in pedagogical contexts. The literature review comprises studies of the reference interview with children and youth, a description of interpersonal communication and finally social interaction and dialog between teachers and pupils. The main result of this study was the demonstration of a dichotomy in modes of interpersonal communication. In one mode, the social frame is emphasized.

Ålderspensionärerna kommer att öka kraftigt under de kommande åren. För arbetsgivare är det betydelsefullt att planera och vara medvetna om att kunskapen och erfarenheten som framtida pensionärer besitter kommer att försvinna om de inte tillvaratas, där ett tillvägagångssätt kan vara kunskapsöverföring. Undersökningens syfte var hur framtida pensionärer upplever tillvaratagandet av deras kunskap och erfarenheter och hur det påverkade deras framtidsinställning. Fem framtida pensionärer och en personalansvarig intervjuades. Datamaterialet analyserades genom induktiv tematisk analys.
