Malmö has often been described as a segregated city, with relatively low democratic participation and high poverty and alienation. Behind this kind of statements we often find a material reality, with unequal distribution of assets and potentials that needs to be taken into consideration for political action. At the same time this categorisation of people into different groups can take stigmatising effects and result in increased inequality.I find the theoretical basis for my thesis in Lefebvre?s writings on ?the right to the city?, that shortly means that all inhabitants of a city have the right to take active part in the constantly ongoing process of producing and reproducing the city ? on all levels, from a hands-on everyday life level to a more abstract political level.With an interdisciplinary approach, where the right to the city is discussed in relation to citizenship, presence, representation and public space, I try to understand the connections between democracy, participation, justice and equality. These discussions are then applied to examples from Malmö; both publically initiated projects and individual physical markings in the city.

This is a study of democracy on the local level. It?s a comparison between the municipalities of Mo?rbyla?nga and Mo?nstera?s in the region of Kalmar in Sweden based on most similar design. The question is if the structure of the political organisation affects the quality of democracy, with focus on the reorganisaton in Mo?rbyla?nga and the quality of the political process.

AbstractThe main purpose of this study is to examine which essential traits floorball coaches for men?s and women?s team require. One issue was to see if there was any distinction between which leader traits and behaviors the players and the coaches regarded as essential. Another issue was to see if the coaches? behaviors differed whether he was coaching men or women.

Syftet med studien har varit att beskriva och ge ökad förståelse för hur elever med hörselnedsättning deltar i dialog och samspel. Närmare bestämt har studien fokuserat elever som finns i hörselklassmiljö och har cohleaimplantat (CI) som sitt personliga hjälpmedel. I skolans styrdokument förespråkas elevaktiva arbetssätt och dialogen betonas särskilt. För att kunna vara delaktig i sin egen kunskapsutveckling, krävs deltagande på lika villkor samt tillgång till ett gemensamt språk. I dag får 90% av alla döva barn i Sverige ett CI inopererat.

Den 1 maj 2011 trädde Europeiska landskapskonventionen i kraft i Sverige. Det har medfört att synen på landskap förändrats och att det ställs nya krav på de som arbetar med landskap. Landskapskonventionen trycker på allmänhetens medverkan i landskapsplaneringen. Vindkraft är något som i högsta grad påverkar landskapsupplevelsen och vars legitimitet är debatterad. Därför blir dialog i planeringen för vindkraft mycket viktigt om landskapskonventionen ska följas. Uddevalla kommun har tagit fasta på detta genom att utföra en landskapsanalys i dialog och har utifrån denna tagit fram ett planeringsverktyg för vindkraft. Ramböll är de som tagit fram analysen för Uddevalla.

Föreliggande studie syftar till att i en kommun undersöka förvaltningars allmänna upplevelser och åsikter kring samverkan och kommunikation som sker mellan dem och arbetsgivarenheten. Vi har i studien valt att med en kvalitativ ansats inhämta empiriskt material genom att genomföra intervjuer med nio respondenter fördelat på olika förvaltningar inom organisationen.Genom kvalitativa intervjuer har fyra frågeställningar besvarats. För det första vilka åsikter och uppfattningar förvaltningarna har på samverkan mellan dem och arbetsgivarenheten. För det andra vilka åsikter och uppfattningar förvaltningarna har på kommunikationen mellan dem och arbetsgivarenheten. Det tredje vilka positiva samt negativa faktorer som förvaltningarna upplever att det finns kring samverkan och kommunikation mellan dem och arbetsgivarenheten.

AbstractThis study deals with motivation as an overall concept, from a student perspective. It encompasses factors that could directly affect students and their positive or negative motivation, concepts such as relationships, communication, expectations and interactions and their importance to my informants.The study also discusses certain theories to show the different ways of defining motivation, specifically in relation to my informants and their and my conclusions. My ambition is to establish the importance of the concepts mentioned above, as well as perspective changes to the enhancement of the performance standards of a good teacher.The purpose of this work is to describe, understand and clarify the external and internal factors that affect motivation. In order to achieve this purpose, I chose to use a method of qualitative interviews with three students, with different backgrounds, schools and conditions but with a lack of motivation as a unifying characteristic. The research questions were as follows:What factors influence students' motivation?   What impact do achievement targets have in relation to the pupils? own motivation to learn?How important are teachers' expectations for the individual student's motivation?Within this study sub-concepts such as importance of expectations, relationships, and significant others are, according to my analysis, of great importance.
