The time we live in now is significant for its many ways of spreading information- it is indeed the era of communication. The Internet is the main reason for this evolution, where you can reach out to any corner in the world in less then a second. Information is flowing over us and we get more and more used to being in a constant accessible state. The individual might spread his own word as he wishes. From a democratic point of view this should give a great opening for everyone into the public spheer.

Som blivande pedagog och författare av examensarbetet har jag gjort en kvalitativt inriktad forskning för att besvara mitt syfte. Fenomenografi är ett centralt begrepp i examensarbetet. Inledningsvis har jag i bakgrunden skildrat en historisk tillbakablick med viktiga årtal för förskolan. Vidare har jag definierat och skildrat olika uppfattningar som skildras i forskning och litteratur från 2000-talet om utvecklingssamtalet i förskolan.  I denna studie har tio kvalitativa intervjuer gjorts med fem föräldrar och fem förskollärare. Syftet har varit att undersöka vilka uppfattningar som finns hos förskollärare och föräldrar om förskolan.

Syftet med denna uppsats är att undersöka hur kompetens kan tillvaratas på bästa sätt i samband pensionsavgångar och nyanställningar. Kompetens har i uppsatsen betraktats ur ett tolkande perspektiv, vilket i korthet innebär att en persons kompetens ses som beroende av dennes förståelse inför sitt arbete. Vidare vilar denna uppsats på följande grundantaganden; verkligheten utgörs av subjektiv föreställning, kunskap är socialt konstruerad samt att lärande sker genom samspel. För att besvara uppsatsens syfte har en empirisk undersökning av kvalitativ karaktär gällande ett antal ingenjörers förståelse inför sitt arbete på VA-verket i Malmö genomförts. Intervjuer med pensionsaktuella samt relativt nyutexaminerade ingenjörer visade att skillnaderna i de mer respektive mindre erfarna ingenjörernas förståelse och därmed kompetens, i första hand grundade sig i deras olika grad av erfarenhet från yrket.

Syftet med studien har varit att belysa problematik kring jämställdhet i läromedel sett till genusaspekter som kön och etnicitet. Särskild uppmärksamhet har lagts vid hur kvinnor framställs i populärmusikhistoria. Huvudfrågan har varit att undersöka vilka kriterier man bör beakta när man skapar läromedel ur genusperspektiv. Jag har använt mig av explorativ metod vilken innebär att man samlar in material för att täcka kunskapsluckor på det valda området. En central del av undersökningen bestod i skapandet av läromedel.Mitt resultat pekar på betydelsen av ett tvärvetenskapligt perspektiv för att en text ska vara jämställd.

This study examines the possibilities of interpreting the moral values and ethics presented in the current curriculums in a way that makes them inclusive and constructive. The study also reveals how the liberal democratic ideal, presented in the curriculums as a hyper-ideology, is not at all easy to define or live up to in the pluralistic school of today.By close-reading and criticizing the curriculum for the Swedish senior high school (Gy11)and by looking at it from two different points of views, as rules or norms and as a process, Ishow how the curriculum can be interpreted as a basis or starting point for a communicationabout values. I also discuss wether the aim of this communication should be consensus or anongoing process..

This thesis endavours to examine whether differences between original and translation in literary translation are systematic and predictable by studying a Swedish detective novel and its Japanese translation. The domain of the novel chosen for analysis is the reported speech (i.e. dialog).Translation Studies suggests that knowledge of the literary norms of the Target Language of the translation and of the status of translations in the Target Language's literary system, enables one to predict if and what differences between original and translation will appear.A survey of the scholarly literature concerning literary norms in the Japanese system and the status of translation within said system was performed and the following hypotheses were postulated: 1. The aim of this Master´s thesis is to examine the debate in Swedish library press concerning outsourcing of public libraries. The two magazines studied are BBL (Biblioteksbladet) and bis (bibliotek i samhälle). The period of time covered by the selected articles is 2005 to 2011. Although there are still quite few cases of tendering arrangements in Sweden, the question has been raised in the last years by the decision of the Municipality of Nacka (Stockholm) to outsource their public libraries. Another important factor for bringing the question into focus has been the general elections of 2006, which brought an alliance of right-wing parties to power.     In this thesis the arguments of the participants are documented and analyzed.
