Turism är en av de snabbast växande industrierna i världen idag och upplevelseevenemang är en bidragande orsak till det. Städer använder ofta upplevelseevenemang för att marknadsföra sig. Samtidigt har samhällsutvecklingen inneburit ett ökat intresse för projekt med resurser från flera företag. Festivaler är sådana populära projekt i upplevelseindustrin. Vår uppsats är en kvalitativ fallstudie av Kirunafestivalen.

This thesis explores and compares the former armed opposition groups; Mozambique National Resistance (RENAMO), Front for the Liberation of Mozambique (FRELIMO) and South West Africa People's Organization (SWAPO) transformation processes into political parties. The first question addressed is; What factors determines the ability of these armed opposition groups to transform into political parties after armed conflict? The question is addressed through four structural and organizational factors; international involvement, the organizations ideology and identity, their ability to change inter-elite relationships and their ability to change collective incentive strategies. The second question addressed is if the transformations process can affect the parties? degree of institutionalization? The degree of institutionalization is examined through the party's adaptility, complexity, autonomy and coherence.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relation between SOC, attitudes towards grades, and perceived stress levels among adolescents, and whether there was any difference in this relation between gender. The first research hypothesis was: "there is a gender difference to the degree of SOC, attitude to grades, and perceived stress level". The second was that "SOC and attitude to grades, predict stress in adolescents". To answer these hypotheses, a questionnaire survey was carried out among upper secondary students, 95 boys and 89 girls. The result of the analysis showed a significant difference between the gender.

This Degree Projekt deals with Skanska´s safety at the construction site with focus on personal safety equipment. The purpose of this dissertation is to examine how the rules of personal safety equipment are applied and experienced at Skanska´s construction sites.In October 2004 Skanska started a projekt to make the construction sites more safe. With use of a questionnaire we have made a survey at different construction sites. 80 questionaires have been handed out to Skanska´s employees in the southeast region. While they were handed out we conrolled if the employees at Skanska´s construction sites used head protection, easy visible clothing, safety shoes and identification cards.The result of the survey shows how the rules are applied.

The Degree Project is about ?creative packaging?, the group has in collaboration with AssiDomän Frövi planned, constructedand designed two packagingsolutions for chocolate creams.The group has worked with the cardboard Frövi Bright produced by the company itself, which together with differentaspects in marketing demands deep knowledge about the chosen material and productgroup.The knowledge wererecieved from education, litterature and personal contacts.The completed packagingsolutions will be exposed in connection with an exhibition this summer.The Degree Project has resulted in two new and completed packagingsolutions for chocolate creams. One is mainlycreative and the other one provides strenghtness with the chosen cardboard.Hopefully the result by the group represents AssiDomän Frövi in a pleasant way and increases the expectations forthe future..

Syftet med denna uppsats har varit att undersöka vad tre individer i en utbildningsgrupp inom det militära hade för uppfattningar av ett hälsofrämjande projekt som genomförts på deras arbetsplats. Syftet har även varit att ta reda på om dessa individer upplevde att detta projekt påverkat deras arbetsmiljö och hälsa, och i så fall hur. Arbetsplatsen är en stor och viktig arena för hälsofrämjande arbete. Detta eftersom en vuxen individ spenderar en stor del av sin vakna tid på arbetet vilket gör att det finns möjlighet att påverka ett stort antal individers hälsa genom projekt och andra typer av hälsofrämjande arbete inom denna arena. Det har även visat sig att det inte i någon större utsträckning forskats angående projektdeltagares uppfattningar av det projekt de deltagit i.

Projekt används i företag för att utföra en aktivitet. Det finns ett antal kriterier som ett projekt skall uppfylla för att bli kallat ett projekt. Vid genomförandet av ett projekt följs en projektmodell för stöd och riktlinjer så att slutmålet kan uppnås. En projektmodell har flera faser, där varje fas har sin egen understruktur av dokumentation och milstolpar.Arbetets syfte är att illustrera, genom en jämförelse, hur tre olika projektmodeller är konstruerade. Jämförelsen mellan dessa projektmodeller ger en överblick om hur modellerna är uppbyggda i förhållande till varandra.

Denna rapport beskriver det arbete vi gjorde hos Ninetech i Karlstad. Målet med vårtarbete var att skapa en applikation som hämtar information rörande resultat av automatiskabyggen i pågående projekt. Sammanställningen av olika projekt skulle visas löpande. Vårtarbete kan beskrivas som två delar, en praktisk och en teoretisk del. Den praktiska delenbestod av att skapa en applikation som visar status på de olika projekt som Ninetech förtillfället arbetar med.

The aim of the study was to a) examine what leader behaviors individual and team athletes prefer and b) examine what leader behaviors men and women prefer. A questionnaire (The Leadership Scale for Sports) was distributed to 168 individuals, from which 130 were included in the study. The data was analyzed in SPSS, in which a three-way and a two-way variance analysis were performed. The results showed that individual athletes preferred the behavior dimensions ?Training and instruction?, ?Positive feedback? and ?Democratic behavior? to a higher degree than did team athletes.

Librarians like to think that libraries contribute substantially to the progress of research. However, libraries still seem to have serious problems getting integrated in their parent organization on equal terms with other parts of that organization. The degree of integration of the library is thus the main topic of this thesis and the purpose is to examine how the interaction between librarians and scientists is formed and can be developed. That issue leads to concrete questions concerning what part librarians play in the scientists work and which factors influence the cooperation or lack of cooperation. We have chosen, for reasons of comparison, to make two case studies; one is a branch of a university library and the other is a library in a large pharmaceutical company.

Then the language learning process and the approach in a preparatory class differs itself from a general class. The methods conducted in a preparatory class are not just focused on teaching as in a more traditional method. Achieving the objectives in a preparatory class depends on the individual student and the cohesion in the group. Students have different backgrounds and knowledge level, therefore it is extremely important that the teachers use different work methods in order to achieve and to promote the students' language development. The aim with this survey is to get the knowledge about what education methods is being used by teachers in a preparatory class.

The primary purpose of this degree project was to investigate teachers conceptions about education for sustainable development and their education within the area. Teachers from Sweden and California have taken part and one of the aims with this study was to look if any differences could be found depending on what country the teachers came from. Therefore, this study has used a qualitative approach where conception maps and interviews have been used to get a result. Furthermore, the result showed that none of the differences that was found can be linked to the participants home country. The study also showed that several of different teaching traditions and educations philosophies was represented.

För entreprenörer som arbetar med projekt i en "start up"- fas kan det vara svårt att lyckas med finansieringen. Detta beror på att det inte finns någon ekonomisk historik att visa upp för finansiärerna. För att lyckas få in tillräckligt med kapital för att kunna finansiera ett projekt kan man vända sig till olika typer av investerare. De vanligaste sättet är att man antingen vänder sig till banker, venture capital-bolag eller affärsänglar. Vad som motiverar dessa aktörer är olika, men det gemensamma för dessa aktörer är att det är svårt att få dem att investera i ett projekt.Under senare tid har det dock skapats ett nytt sätt för entreprenörer att få in kapital till sina projekt.

Både offentlig sektor, privata företag och ideella föreningar bedriver idag en stor del av sitt utvecklingsarbete i projektform. För många av dessa är också målsättningen att projekten ska leva vidare och bli en ny verksamhet eller integreras i den befintliga. I den här uppsatsen studeras en organisation som gått från att vara ett projekt till att bli en permanent verksamhet samt hur projektprocessen har sett ut. Organisationen jag valde att studera har finansierat sitt projekt genom externa projektbidrag. Jag ville studera i vilken grad olika framgångsfaktorer, som identifierats i litteraturen, kunde vara giltiga för det undersökta projekter.

This bachelor?s degree thesis was conducted in mechanical engineering at Halmstad University during spring semester 2010 in close collaboration with the company Gremo AB, located in Ätran, Sweden. Gremo AB produces, developes and sales forest machines in both Sweden and on the international market.Gremo AB belongs to one of the market leaders in forest industry, especially with their forwarder. In order to become a market leader even with their harvester, the company decided to change the harvester to have a swivel and a leveling driver cabin.The aim with this bachelor?s degree thesis was to develop a design concept for the harvester driver cabin, which Gremo AB can apply on the new harvester.
