I arbetet studeras möjligheten att anvÀnda inspelningsteknik som ett verktyg i en kreativ musikalisk process, som en hjÀlp för att analysera och bedöma musikers insatser för att tydliggöra och förbÀttra prestationen. Studien behandlar frÄgan om inspelningar kan vara ett aktivt hjÀlpmedel vid komposition och om det Àr möjligt att anvÀnda i formellt pedagogiska miljöer för individuell utveckling och ensemblespel. Studien har genomförts vid ett tillfÀlle, med fyra musiker som utifrÄn ett grundmaterial, improviserat, arrangerat och spelat in en lÄt tillsammans. Inspelningarna har gjorts i en studio med datorbaserad inspelningsteknik och analyserats och vÀrderats utifrÄn studiens syfte och presenteras tillsammans med en ljudinspelning pÄ CD med material frÄn inspelningen. Reflektion och bedömning av materialet och metoden har skett i samtal mellan musikerna under inspelningssessionen.

The aim of this Master?s thesis is to investigate how a public library should sign and organize their resources to make them as accessible as possible to the users of the library. Our theory, Paul Arthur?s and Romedi Passini?s wayfinding theory, is about how people search through information loaded environments. Our empirical material consists mainly of three parts: an inventory of the resources and guiding at Hammarö bibliotek, eight interviews with visitors at Hammarö bibliotek and observations of how visitors use and interact with the library, its resources and guiding.

The aim of this study was to find out if hypertext structure has any relevance for the efficiency of information retrieval. An experiment, in which three variants of hypertext structure were compared, was carried out in the autumn of 1998. Three websites with different structures were constructed for this purpose: a sequential version, a hierarchical version and a webcluster version. 44 subjects, all students at the University of Lund, were randomly divided into three groups. Subjects were requiered to answer a number of questions using one of the three versions.

MÄlet med denna undersökning har varit att ta fram lÀmpligt bibliotek i programsprÄket C för generering och parsning av JSON (JavaScript Object Notation). Biblioteket ska anvÀndas för att bygga ett nytt API mot Svenska Spels transaktionssystem som ska underlÀtta för klientutvecklare att anropa systemet. Undersökningen har begrÀnsats till utvÀrdering tvÄ utvalda bibliotek, YAJL (Yet Another Json Library) och Jansson. För att kunna jÀmföra och analysera dessa har jag implementerat ett testprogram som mÀter deras prestanda vid generering och parsning av ett antal utvalda JSON objekt. This master's thesis deals with how a school class of 19 students that are 12 years old,perceive the conception of the library and its activities, and how this can be studied by usingfour different approaches: analysis of the children's drawings, analysis of the children'sessays and analysis of their answers to questions in an inquiry and in interviews. Theories ofhow children learn, develop and perceive the world are briefly presented, as we11 as theorynecessary for the analysis.The four different techniques produced in general the same result; the children displayed thesame thoughts, knowledge and values in the drawings, in the essays, in the inquiry andduring the interviews. The main purpose of this bachelor thesis is to analyse the publication- and citation patterns of the articles concerning bibliometrics, informetrics, scientometrics, and webometrics which can be found on Web of Science, and give a brief description of how the definition of the four terms has developed. I have looked at how the number of published papers have developed over the years and to what extent they have been quoted by other researchers. I have also briefly adressed what other research fields are referring to articles published in the four areas. The material I looked at includes articles that can be found on Web of Science with one (or more) of the four terms as topic and are categorised under library- and information science starting with the first bibliometrics article which was published in 1969, and ending in 2013. The results show that the publications in all four fields are continuously increasing.

The purpose of this essay ("Gateway to the Past. An archaeological quality controlled subject gateway as a resource for higher education in Lund") is to examine how a quality controlled subject gateway could increase the quality of the information supply for the Department of Archaeology and Ancient History at Lund University. The essay gives a brief background to subject gateways and also describes the Department and its subjects (prehistoric archaeology, medieval archaeology, osteology and classical studies) . The essay consists of a questionnaire distributed to parts of the target group as well as an investigation of three particular subject gateways: NordArk, ARGE and The Labyrinth. The essay also contains an exposition of how archaeologists seek information, of the structure of the archaeological subjects and of classification systems for quality controlled subject gateways.

At present there is a wide variety of search services to choose from. This master's thesis is about selecting the appropriate search service for a certain question.
