Companies worldwide strive to reduce costs and capital tied up in stock. At the same time, the need for short delivery times requires efficient logistic flows. In order to meet customer demands an efficient warehouse activity is required.The purpose of this study is to develop a model for designing a warehouse system regarding to working environment and safety. The model is primarily designed and based on literature reviews of scientific articles and books, own knowledge and the authors previous work experience in the industry.The thesis has been done at Sandvik AB, the department Precision strip in Sandviken. Sandvik is a high-technology engineering group with advanced products and a world-leading positions within selected areas.

Background: The fierce competetivness that characterize todays market force the companies to differentiate their offerings to a greater extent. The customers do no longer choose their supplier on the attributes of the products alone. Their purchase decisions also depend on the relationship the customers have with their supplier. With new customer channels like the Internet and advanced computer systems companies can increase the value for their customers through a better understanding of the customers needs and preferences. In this way companies can create longterm relationships with their customers.

Idag är det nödvändigt för alla företag att fokusera på att skapa långvariga kundrelationer.Customer relationship management (CRM) gör det möjligt för företag att spåra kundersinteraktioner med företag. Det har blivit alltmer viktigt för företag att vara aktiva inom socialamedier för att skapa både kundengagemang och långsiktiga kundrelationer. Facebook är detmest använda forumet som företag idag använder. I samband med sociala mediers utvecklinghar ett nytt koncept utvecklats för att integrera sociala medier i traditionella CRM-system somkallas Social CRM (SCRM). Syftet med uppsatsen var att öka förståelsen för SCRM genomatt studera ett företags arbetssätt med SCRM för att skapa kundrelationer genom Facebook.

The purpose of this thesis is to examine and analyze why, in the case of Afghanistan, the government chose to establish a highly centralized political system, when from a democratic standpoint a less centralized system would be preferable.The time period that is examined span from 2001 when the so-called Bonn-Accord was signed, to the parliamentary elections held in 2005, a period often referred to as the Bonn-process.The theoretical framework examines both the complex relations between federalism and democracy, as well as the relation between federalism and the role of existent ethnic minorities. The theoretical framework is then used in order to explain why it would be problematic to create a federal system in Afghanistan under the present circumstances.The conclusions that can be drawn are the following: In case of the republic Afghanistan the creation and implementation of a highly centralized political system was the only possible way for the government to be able to cope and practically deal with the problems of existent ethnic antagonism and regional warlords in order to create a stable political situation in the country..

Trauma and coping - A study of women that were trafficked for the purpose of sexual exploitation in India

This study was conducted in the red-light area of Pune city, India. The target group of the study is sex workers that are victims of human trafficking for the purpose of sexual exploitation. The purpose of this study was to examine the initial and continuing trauma and its effects, and the coping strategies that these women develop in order to survive. The initial trauma occurs during the trafficking and seasoning process in the brothel. The term continuing trauma refers to violence and psychological trauma that are part of sex workers lives.

The purpose of this research aims investigate whether front line personell are brand carriers who can affect the customers brand experience. This present study focuses on commercial fitness centers in Kalmar. Like brands, training is taking part in people?s everyday lives; fitness centers are offering the customer a wider range of group training.This thesis is based on a qualitative approach whereby eight interviews have been carried out with two members of the board and six employees of the front line. Additionally, this thesis is also based on three focus groups with four customers, representing the majority of each fitness centers.The research findings highlight that the front line employees are very important as they are seen as the brand; therefore the front line employee?s personality and behaviour will influence the customer?s view of the brand.

Information is essential in order for pharmaceutical companies to be successful. This essay focuses on the information provision of pre-clinical scientists at AstraZeneca R&D Lund, and the role of the company library in this process. In semi-structured interviews, four pre-clinical scientists were asked to describe their information provision regarding what type of information they need, how they find it and what sources of information they use. Four librarians from the company library were also interviewed to give their perspective on the information provision of pre-clinical scientist. The study also aimed at comparing the image of the process as described by the scientists themselves and the librarians.

The earth is an ending resource and so are the mountains and bedrocks which are continuously mined in order to harvest its minerals. The idea behind Urban Mining is to (re)invent processes enabling further purpose for materials both from old deposits and new products providing secondary raw materials and energy. This thesis aims to investigate the challenges and opportunities of how firms and organizations can and will be able to strike a better balance between product-/service systems, economic growth and environmental stewardship in the context of Urban Mining as an approach. With the innovation of processes, technology, business- planning and creation in focus.Objective: How to future proof a business model for Urban Mining by the usage of business model design.Method: This thesis will be conducted using a case study approach, meaning that it will incorporate qualitative, exploratory and descriptive characteristics - aiming towards enabling both applied and fundamental research.Results: The result evaluates the business model element differences between traditional C&D industry and Urban Mining industry.

Verkligheten ? Here we come! En beskrivning av socialisationsprocessen hos studenter vid Växjö polishögskola

This thesis investigates and emphasises on the way students at Växjö police academy describe their socialization into their profession as police officers and the creation of profession identity. The scientist?s main questions are: In what way do the students at Växjö police academy describe their socialization process into the police profession? What role does the organisation play in the socialization process of the police students? How do the students develop their police identity? Which qualities are encouraged? The study is based on qualitative interviews with nine police students, performed in groups of three. Group theory, role theory, and organization theory are applied to the material to provide an understanding through which it is possible to understand the process of socialization. The study shows that there seems to be patterns in the description of a professional identity.

Implementering av CRM : en förändringsprocess

Företag arbetar i dag aktivt med att stärka sina befintliga kundrelationer då det är dessa kunder som renderar störst lönsamhet. CRM? Customer Relation Management är ett vanligt använt begrepp när det gäller att arbeta kundorienterat.Företags insikt och kompetens om det förändringsarbete som införandet av ett CRM system innebär är ofta mycket låg vilket medför att upp till 55 procent av alla implementeringar inte når upp till förväntningarna. (Greenberg 2004)Syftet med uppsatsen är att, ur ett förändringsperspektiv se var i förändringsprocessen som problem uppstår, hos företag som implementerat CRM.Uppsatsen har genomförts som en fallstudie på Exportrådet och Eductus AB med en kvalitativ metodansats. Empirisk data har samlats in genom intervjuer med de ansvariga för införandet av CRM i bägge företagen.

There is therefore necessary to find out how companies work to create trust between themselves and their customers.Purpose: The purpose of this report is to examine and explain how staffing companies work to build trust in their relationships with B2B clients through examination of the conceptual model, creating a theoretical contribution.Research question: How do recruiters at staffing companies work to create trust between themselves and the customer?Methodology: The study adopted a quality research method with a deductive approach where the focus wasg on describing and analyzing. The data was collected primarily through semi-­?structured interviews.Research findings: Through the study?s interviews and their results is it possible to see that staffing companies in Växjö is working with trust.

Förpackning med förbättrad miljö- och säljaspekt : Ett projekt i samarbete med Primus Sverige AB

This work of examination describes an environmentally oriented product development aimed to develop new packaging with improved environmental and sale aspects of the products from Primus Sweden AB. The report covers the design process from the first collection of facts to the final results with a description of all methods involved in the work. The focus has been on a clear environmental awareness and the report contains a deepening of the concept life cycle assessment (LCA) for product development. In the process, the consumers? opinions of the brand Primus and environmental profiling formed the basis for the packaging to communicate the right values such as quality, technology, environmental awareness and adventurer?s first choice.The deepening of the life cycle analysis shows that composting and other alternative treatment of the biological cycle is not possible to implement in a satisfactory way in the design process.The work results in two final concepts.
