Title: How to Construct the Perfect Scandal ? a study of the news reported by Expressen concerning the SD-scandalAuthor: Linnea IvarssonThis C-paper presents the incident concerning the political party Sverigedemokraterna in Expressen in November 2012. The newspaper was the main source of the news reporting with the mobile phone camera film from the occurance and led the way of the news reporting in Sweden about three party members.The paper investigates how the story telling of the so called SD-scandal was constructed, using Critical Discourse Analysis as the analysis method combined with selected parts from the analysis method of critical linguistics. The theories that have been used to establish the results of the analysis are Critical Discourse as a theory based on Norman Fairclough and Teun A. van Dijks theoretical keystones combined with Sigurd Allerns and Ester Pollacks theories and schematic point of view on the constructions of political scandals in media.With the theories and analysis methods above mentioned the results turned out to confirm the theory about how political scandals in media are constructed and designed with certain strategies and agenda.

This essay in how to create a brand identity is a result of a case study of the Spanish mobilephone company Xfera and their new brand ?Yoigo?. Our object was to identify the critical variables in the process of building a brand identity. To achieve this we collected data about the company through several interviews with respondents with good insight in the company. The critical variables that we obtained by analyzing the interviews are presented in an empirical driven model.

I have with this thesis sought to understand how chick lit could be useful in the classroom in the teaching of Swedish B-course in high school. Based on the model of critical literacy I am arguing that this genre would help to meet the objectives of the policy documents which, among other things, are to critically examine and analyze various types of texts.I have found that some of these texts could be used for analyzing and critically examine the ideological dimensions of texts and cultural heritage by the model of critical literacy, and also as a counterweight to the more traditional teaching of the canonical literature as a literary historical stuff that students should learn. I have also wanted to create a basis for discussions about literature in the classroom based on the chick lit genre. To do this I have, based on three themes and questions from the model of critical literacy, tried to focus on issues that might emerge from the ideological analysis and critical review. The model aims to deconstruct norms of society, and in the work of chick lit, I wanted to show how you could deconstruct norms around gender..

Syftet med denna undersökning var att förstå och beskriva sjökaptensstudenters upplevelser av handledning vid utförandet av uppgifter som krävs för att uppnå lärandemålen under delkursen Fartygsförlagd utbildning 1 (1FF01K). Halvstrukturerade personliga intervjuer genomfördes med åtta förstaårsstudenter mellan den 25:e mars och den 5:e april 2013. Dessa spelades in och transkriberades för att sedan tolkas och struktureras i olika kategorier beroende av upplevelser. Strategiskt urval användes för att välja ut informanterna vilka intervjuades med hjälp av ?critical incident technique?.

För att kunna erbjuda god och lättillgänglig hälso- och sjukvård vid stora olyckor och katastrofer krävs en katastrofberedskap grundad på planläggning, utbildning och övning. Sjukvårdens särskilda beredskap måste kunna hantera såväl den "lilla vardagsolyckan" som den stora olyckan eller katastrofen. Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka hur enhetschefer och distriktssköterskor vid primärvården i två kommuner i Jämtlands län upplevde sig förberedda inför en katastrof eller en stor olycka där utryckning krävdes utanför vårdinrättningar till olycksplats. Syftet var även att undersöka hur katastrofberedskap prioriteras av enhetschefer. En intervjustudie har genomförts med tre enhetschefer och fem distriktssköterskor.

I de flesta arbeten uppkommer situationer som kan te sig svåra och som på ett eller annat sätt måste hanteras. Den allmänna föreställningen är att svåra situationer betraktas som problem och uppfattas oftast ha en negativ innebörd. I denna uppsats har vi valt att se svåra situationer i en positiv bemärkning. Vi har för avsikt att undersöka hur svåra situationer i arbetet bidrar till lärande och utveckling för individen, i detta fall yrkesgruppen coacher. De frågeställningar vi utgår ifrån i studien är vilka svåra situationer coacherna upplever i sitt arbete, hur de hanterar svåra situationer samt vilka möjligheter till lärande och utveckling svåra situationer ger upphov till.

Few issues have been exposed in media recently as much as the climate change issue. Afterthe documentary film ?An Inconvenient Thruth? presented by Al Gore was released in 2006,most of the world saw a lot of attention directed towards global warming. This was a turningpoint that is refered to in this dissertation an history-graded critical event, which is assumed tohave a significant impact on peoples lives.The purpose of this dissertation is to examine whether or not political parties in Swedenresponded to this critical event in the way that they, in their party programmes, haveformulated policies related to climate change. Alternatively if media produces an image ofpolitical activity which does not comport with the forming of actual political standpoints.

Denna studie behandlar hierarkisk karriärutveckling utifrån ett utvecklingspsykologiskt perspektiv. Undersökningen har antagandet att utvecklingen mot en hierarkisk karriär, likt utvecklingsfaserna i livet i övrigt, följer bestämda faser eller stadier där man kan se paralleller mellan uppbyggnaden av en karriär och utvecklingsfaserna i livet. Studien syftade till att undersöka bankchefers karriärer och analysera dem efter de steg som vägen till en hierarkisk karriär antas utgöras av, utifrån de steg som Greenhaus et al. (2000) med hjälp av utvecklingspsykologin byggt upp. Detta för att hitta vad som har varit avgörande i deras väg mot framgång.

The following study is a discourse analysis of the concept of critical thinking within pre-school teacher education. It considers the following questions: how does the concept of critical thinking appear in policy documents, central to the pre-school teacher education, and which possible conceptions of critical thinking are conveyed by students and teachers active within the education. Additionally, the study seeks to discuss, as well as suggest a possible relation, between the findings of those two questions. In reviewing the material (consisting of five semi-structured interviews with students and teachers, and of a selection of policy documents central to the education), I argue the existence of a sort of project within the education, which presents critical thinking as a higher value. At the same time, I argue that the concept is not defined or concretized. This project, however, as I suggest while drawing upon Foucault?s ideas of discourse and government, involves a rather high degree of control.

SAMMANFATTNINGBakgrundI Sverige är sjuksköterskor en av de mest utsatta yrkesgrupperna när det gäller hot och våld på arbetsplatsen. Tidigare studier har visat att utbildning kring hot och våld samt stöd efter en incident kan påverka hur sjuksköterskorna hanterar en hotfull eller våldsam incident. Dessa studier har dock främst fokuserat på sjukvården i allmänhet eller psykiatrin i allmänhet. Forskning kring hot och vålds påverkan inom rättspsykiatrisk vård är bristfällig.SyfteAtt belysa sjuksköterskors upplevelse av hot och våld inom den rättspsykiatriska vården samt de konsekvenser som hot och våld kan få för omvårdnaden.MetodFöreliggande studie är baserad på sju intervjuer med sjuksköterskor från två rättspsykiatriska verksamheter i Mellansverige. Intervjuerna har utgått från en semistrukturerad form, sedan har en kvalitativ innehållsanalys gjorts.ResultatStudien resulterade i sju olika kategorier kring sjuksköterskors upplevelse av hot och våld inom rättspsykiatrisk vård: bilden av hot och våld inom rättspsykiatrisk vård, utbildning, stöd vid hot och våld, relation till patienten, preventivt arbete, känslor samt omvårdnaden.Det första huvudfyndet pekar på att återkommande utbildning från arbetsgivarna kring säkerhet och självskydd är bristfällig samt att utbildningen kring psykiatrisk omvårdnad i grundutbildningen för sjuksköterskor anses otillräcklig kring förberedelse att arbeta inom rättspsykiatrisk vård.Det andra huvudfyndet visar på att stödet från kollegor anses vara det viktigaste för att bearbeta en hotfull eller våldsam incident.

In the light of the criticism from the Swedish Consumers? Association towards the actions of modern fund managers on the Swedish Sustainable and Responsible Investment (SRI) market, discussions of change has increased. The reasons underlying a change and communication process are scarcely focused on. Thus, grounded on theories in the fields of Critical Management Studies (CSR), Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), change and communication, this study analyses how a change of implementing revised SRI communication is carried out at Handelsbanken Asset Management, existing motives for the change in communication, and how key actors can affect the process. A participant observation and in-depth interviews were carried out enfolding a discussion that contributed with a critical analysis and discussion, concluding external motives to be dominant and that key actors of the change process are influential to a various extent.

Olyckor är vanliga inom sjöfarten. För den akut medicinska behandlingen finns god beredskap ochtydliga riktlinjer. För den akut psykiska behandlingen saknas klara råd. Denna studie undersökerrådande riktlinjer och praxis för det psykiska stödet. Studien syftar på att klargöra vad det finns förmöjlighet att utveckla det psykiska stödet i det akuta skedet efter en incident ombord på svenskafartyg.

Despite the vast research on the effects of gaming, little is know how the phenomenon of e-sports and it?s followers is portrayed. While media can have significant impact on what and how e-sport is portrayed, no studies have been done in a Swedish context. This thesis aims at filling that gap with investigations of the two major Swedish newspapers. Six articles was analyzed with critical discourse analysis with a theoretical base of journalism.The result of which indicated that between the period of 2005 and 2012 e-sport and players was considered to be professional, committed and more in a sense that reminded much of the view on more traditional sport such as soccer and hockey.

Insurance terms always go with the insurance contract that you sign. In theseterms the assurers rights and obligations towards the insurer are stipulated. It is often difficult to interpret these insurance terms. Sometimes it is hard to decide whether an incident is considered an insurance event or not. These problems often cause disputes between the assurer and the insurer.

The construction industry stands as one of the industries in Sweden where most employees tend to encounter accidents. At the same time, the Swedish authority of work environment estimates that there are large numbers of hidden statistics with accidents and incidents that never gets reported. To prevent accidents, the Swedish authority of work environment has decided that every company have to, beside report every accident and major incident to the authority of work environment, keep statistics and evaluate every incident that happens at their places of work.The people responsible for work environment at the Swedish building contractor Peab, believe that it is only a fraction of all incidents happening at their construction sites that actually gets reported. The purpose of this study is to investigate the reason why employees of Peab do not report incidents. By an inquiry and interviews with both craftsmen and office holders at Peab Bygg Öst 1, the employees? attitudes and knowledge have been studied and evaluated.The study shows that the craftsmen´s knowledge of incidents is relatively low.
