The Swedish bank Handelsbanken has, according to their own way of measuring, been more successful than a weighted average of their competitors during the last 38 years. They have also handled the recent financial crisis, as well as the one in the 1990´s, better than most other banks. This paper studies their management control system at branch level in order to identify the controls which have been enforced to ensure that a low risk level is retained in the lending. The controls that have been identified are; (1) A decentralized organization with the offices as profit centers where the manager has restrictions regarding risk level and the results are measured as K/I (cost/revenue). (2) The absence of bonuses and individual follow-up regarding performance measurement.

The treatment that women get from health care staff can influence the experience of the abortion and how women manage to coping the experience emotionally. The aim of this study was to illuminate women?s experiences in connection with an abortion. The findings show that the women?s social situation led them to the decision of abortion.

Sjuksköterskeledda mottagningar har blivit ett framgångsrikt sätt att ta hand om stora patientgrupper som lider av kroniska sjukdomar som diabetes, astma och hjärtsvikt (Eklund, 2009). I Sverige lider fyra av tio kvinnor och fem av tio män, av övervikt eller fetma (SCB, 2012). Fetma är ett globalt folkhälsoproblem som leder till en mängd allvarliga konsekvenser, både fysiska, psykiska och sociala, och har blivit en allt större utmaning för vårt samhälle att finna lösningar och effektiva behandlingar till (WHO, 2013). På senare tid har sjuksköterskeledda överviktsmottagningar etablerats. Syftet med denna uppsats är att beskriva omvårdnadsåtgärder vid sjuksköterskeledd överviktsmottagning.

Bakgrund: Övervikten i den svenska befolkningen och i västvärlden har de senaste 25 åren ökat och gått allt längre ned i åldrarna. Övervikt och fetma utgör en riskfaktor för sjukdomar av såväl somatiska som psykosocial karaktär.Syfte: Litteraturstudiens syfte var att beskriva hälsopromotiva interventioner för barn och ungdomar.Metod: En litteraturstudie med artikelsökning och granskning utifrån syftet gjordes. Fem kvantitativa och en kvalitativ artikel inkluderades efter kvalitetsbedömningen.Resultat: Resultatet visar på att problemet med övervikt måste ses ur flera perspektiv och åtgärdas från flera håll. Mönster som växte fram var: skolpersonalens interventioner, föräldrars interventioner, hälso- och sjukvårdspersonalens interventioner samt andra aktörers påverkan. Interventionernas tyngdpunkt ligger på kost och motion.Slutsats: Framförallt en god kosthållning och fysisk aktivitet är viktiga faktorer för en lyckad intervention.

This essay examines how a group of five youths? self identities are affected by unemploy-ment, contact with the social services and by labour market interventions. In Sweden youth employment has been regarded as a social problem. Arbetslinjen that could be translated into the work model or the work line influences and is a necessity for the Swedish welfare system. With a hermeneutic scientific philosophical position the method used to examine this has been to interview the youths, in the age of 18-25, individually.

The aim of this qualitative study was to explore which inner conceptions about the abused older women the professional social workers had and how they experienced the enconter of an abused old woman in an intimate partner relation. The theoretical background is social construction by Berger and Luckmann. This theory was uset to analyze the transcribed interviews. This study is based on nine interviews with five professionals in social services, three volunteers from the voluntary sector and one social worker who worked in a community based support group for abused older women. The result of this study shows that older women were often abused, by a relative they were dependent on, in their home.

Vi lever i en ömtålig vardag. Vi gör den än ömtåligare genom vårt sätt att leva. The purpose of this study was to describe and analyze IntimatePartner Violence (IPV). How does contemporary science illustrate men as victimsand women as perpetrators in these relationships? Ten articles were presentedand analyzed in a systematic literature study. The results show that men beingabused by their female intimate partner, do exist and that they in many ways doconform to abused women. There are many underlying causes to the violence inclose relationships.

In addition to all our soldiers and officers who do military services abroad there are a lot of people who are affected by their choice to contribute, namely their next of kin. This report deals only with those who are next of kin to those who perform service abroad. The purpose of this study is to investigate the relatives' need for emotional and social support as well as practical and economical support. The main question is What kind of practical/economical and emotional/social support do close relatives require when a relative does military service abroad? The method used in this paper is a qualitative research interview.

In this essay I have tried to present the ideas and thoughts of the Swedish author Rolf Edberg (1912-1997), journalist, ambassador and county governor. By many regarded as an environment philosopher and the introducer of deep ecology into Sweden. The essay emphasizes Edberg as a modern renaissance man of important knowledge with a rhetorical force to present and generalize the problems the planet Earth is meeting. The paper compares him with Henry Thoreau but also finds a close but perhaps unintended relationship with the German philosopher Ernst Haeckel although Edberg himself claimed to be a Darwinist at heart.The essay stresses on four characteristic features in his authorship namely 1) a holistic view of nature and man, rejecting dualism for monism; 2) a cosmic relationship within the whole universe and also between organic and inorganic matter; 3) the planet Earth is in a crisis due to an uneven and unjust distribution of the resources of the Earth, the nuclear weapon threat and the overpopulation; 4) the evolution and not the religion has the answer to our existential questions..

Vid dysfagi är pneumoni en vanlig komplikation som ger ökade kostnader för vården, ett ökat lidande för patienter samt leder till fler dödsfall. Omvårdnadsåtgärder som minskar risken för pneumoni är därför av betydelse att identifiera. Syftet med denna litteraturstudie var att i vetenskapliga artiklar identifiera omvårdnadsåtgärder sjuksköterskan kan tillämpa som minskar risken för pneumoni vid dysfagi. I tio vetenskapliga artiklar utlästes sex kategorier via databearbetning. I resultatet identifierades att vinkeln på ryggen i sittande läge var viktigt att ta hänsyn till, användningen av vätskor med låg viskositet hade en förebyggande effekt och en intervention där hakan fälldes ner mot bröstet vid sväljning skyddade mot aspiration.

In this thesis I discuss and analyze the integration policy of the community Landskrona, if they have any at all and how they in that case use it in their daily work to counteract the obvious problems with segregation, racism and negative attitudes towards people with other ethnic background than Swedish.During the second half of the 20th century Sweden has received a lot of immigrants who built our country and contributed to the rich variety of people we see today. Landskrona was one of the towns who received a lot according to its size, and with the economic crisis in the 1990s it was easy to blame the immigrants for our own deteriorated situation.Today Landskrona is working for an implementation of integration policies in all institutions and organizations to make it a matter of course just like equality. It is not the ethnic background that is the problem; it is being an outsider and economically segregated that lead to resistance of the society. Surrogate boycotts are highly threatening for corporations in terms of both economical cost and image damage. All corporations are due to our globalized environment and increased stakeholder fragmentation gradually more risking to become victims of surrogate boycotts, which of nature is hard if not impossible to predict and prevent. Corporations are generally recommended to build clear and strong corporate identities, which should be reflected in their most important stakeholders, as this will secure minimum damage on the corporate image.Even a surrogate boycott situation can have positive effects on corporations, especially in terms of image, as such situation increases the brand involvement and thereby make it possible for corporations to connect with important stakeholders on an emotional level..

The purpose of this study was to understand school counselors´ and teachers´ perspectives on the prevention of bullying in relation to social capital. The study was based on a qualitative process with semi-structured interviews from three teachers and three school counselors from three different schools. The main question was to find out teachers and school counselors perspectives of bullying in relation to social capital. The analysis was based on a theory that focuses on social capital, where trust and confidence as well as universal and selective interventions are important. Today, bullying is considered a serious and significant problem in school.
