Jag gör det själv / Allt blir bra : Ett examensarbete om att hjälpa sig själv
The problem being examined is the disturbing noise that is created in an open plan office on a company working with a Creative process, such as a newspaper or a communications agency. The purpose of this study was to examine the needs for today for a sound absorber in open offices and create and design a design proposal. The aim is also to develop a marketing material the product proposal. The problem has been broken down into the following questions:- How does the user look at the need of a sound absorber in an open offices solution today?- Does an interior designer apply sound absorbers when they furnish the intended environment? - How can a design that meets the needs that exists be achieved and to speak the user?The study is based on three choice of methods a literature review on selected topics that relate to the topic, an interview with an interior designer to explore how an interior designer applies absorbers in open plan office and finally an extensive survey that treats the user's needs and appropriate appearance for the product proposal.The design process has undertaken the following methods, design brief, requirements specification, functional analysis and sketches to produce the final product proposal.

Platsmarknadsföring är ett växande fenomen internationellt och i Sverige, då det påstås att ?städer tävlar mot andra städer? om besöksnäringen, nyetableringar av företag och befolkning. Att platsmarknadsföra sin stads specifika värden, genom att paketera och ?sälja? in staden, har blivit mer av en regel än ett undantag, där man genom texter och bilder vill lyfta fram stadens specifika kvalitéer.Men vad gömmer sig i skuggsidan av platsmarknadsföringen? Och vidare vad blir effekterna av de bilder man visar upp av staden?Många kritiska forskare menar att risken är att befolkningen i staden inte känner igen bilden av sin stad och då känner sig åsidosatta och platsmarknadsföringen förlorar då sin styrka. Därför blir också intern platsmarknadsföring oerhört viktigt för att vinna legitimitet hos befolkningen.I min undersökning har jag gjort en djupstudie av Karlstad relativt nya platsvarumärke °Karlstad med tillhörande platsvarumärkesmaterial.

With the help of Mika Hannulas book Politics, Identity and Public Space: Critical Reflections in and through the Practices of Contemporary Art, I discuss how the stories I tell trough my project can be seen as suggestions for a possible reality. By adding my stories to the old ones (that create our society) I hope they, if only just the slightest, can influence on how we look at reality and on a possible reality.
Ett nytt pedagogiskt material! : 4DFrame, hur kan man arbeta praktiskt med det?
The objective of this study is to investigate a new pedagogical material called 4DFrame, how it is experienced by informants and how suitable it is in education - in particular mathematics. Socioculturalperspective has a central role in this study when students are given opportunities for linguistic and social interaction during the experiment with the new pedagogical material. The methodology for this study has been visits, interviews, and observations. The study reveals that there are different views on the didactic potential for mathematics of the new teaching material, though no conclusions can be drawn regarding whether this material is more or less suitable in teaching since no research have been found that compares this with other pedagogical materials. Both national and international studies show the need to find alternative and better ways to make mathematic education meaningful.

Husaberg Scandinavia AB is a company producing and developing a range of motorcycles for both on- and off-road use. Husaberg provided the project group with a task of developing an entirely new way of operating the sequential transmission that can be found in today?s motorcycles. The target was to bring the product from idea to a functional prototype ready for further tests. Operation of the motorcycles transmission is today made by a foot pedal placed on the left hand side of the bike.
Estetiska vägar mot språket : En undersökande essä om estetiska lärprocessers påverkan på språkutveckling
My purpose with this essay is to examine the relationship between esthetic learning processes and language development to find good practices in my work with multilingual children. In my report, I describe a few activities from my work as a preschool pedagogue in a multicultural area, with a large group of children where age and knowledge of Swedish varies. The background to this essay is the problems I experienced in my work with children´s language development in an organization that, in my opinion, is limited by economic factors. The questions I poses are about the way esthetic learning processes can help children develop their language skills as well as their participation in preschool activities. I also pose the question whether there is a connection between the musical ear and children´s development of language.

For an outdoor environment to function optimally as a playarea requires that it is flexible, that is, contains places and elements that give room for the imagination and
for own interpetretations, and also that the children in some way can influence and change their surroundings. It is also important to have variety, both in the sense that the playground has a unique character that distinguishes it from other places, and that it allows many different games and activities. There should for example be room for both wild games of running and moving around where many children can participate, and calm corners to withdraw to for rest or quiet play.
A good playground should surprise, challenge and encourage children to discover their surroundings. One way to achive this is to use plants and materials from nature, whose
irregular forms and structures can become interesting elements to explore. Vegetation
also gives sence-experiences of various kinds, materials like twigs and leafs to play with
and a place to play house.

Recently I discovered that preschool education has evolved from integration of various subject contents and working methods. The purpose of my study is to investigate preschool teachers' attitudes and ways of working with a theme-oriented approach. I also want to examine their opinions regarding the integration of subject content in terms of mathematics and science subjects (NO) in preschools theme-oriented work approach.My questions for this study are:What is a preschool teacher's attitude and their ways of working to a thematic-oriented approach?What is a preschool teacher's opinions regarding the integration of subject content, especially in mathematics and science subjects (NO) in their pre-schools theme-oriented work approach?I have used myself a qualitative method of investigation to produce materials for my research project. I collected my empirical material for my study from the semi-structured interviews that was done with four preschool teachers in two preschools in Botkyrka municipality.

år. Detta kandidatarbete undersöker ämnet illustrerad narrativ och redogör
olika aspekter och
principer som är avgörande för att man ska kunna förmedla ett budskap med hjälp

illustrationer. Idag förknippas illustrerad narrativ framför allt med
serietidningar, bilderböcker
och grafiska romaner som berättar en narration i form av en serie av bilder.
Under den
teoretiska delen av arbetet har jag först gått igenom illustrerat narrativs
historia och sedan
redovisat principer för det moderna illustrerat narrativet. Jag har också
forskat kring bildens
kommunikativa värde och samspelet mellan bild och text.

Denna rapport beskriver vårt projektarbete på ComOpt i Helsingborg. Uppgiften
har
varit att göra presentationer av företagets produkter. Det centrala i arbetet
har varit
grafisk design, i det här fallet gränssnittsdesign till de presentationer vi
har gjort. I vår
rapport reflekterar vi över den designprocess vi har genomgått och ställer
frågor som:
Vad gör en designer till en bra designer? Och: Var får vi kreativitet och
inspiration
ifrån? Det vi har kommit fram till är att en bra designer kännetecknas av
förmågan att
kunna prestera bra trots bristande resurser.
Gestaltning och förverkligande av Icehotels utemiljö säsongen 2009/2010
This paper constitutes graduate work at the landscape
architecture program at the Department of Urban
and Rural Development at the Swedish University of
Agricultural Sciences, Uppsala. The main purpose of this
paper is to create a project from an idea to reality. The
place for the project is the environment of Icehotel in
Jukkasjärvi in the north of Sweden. Icehotel is a unique
hotel concept and each winter a hotel, a church and a
bar is built at the area of only ice and snow, and each
spring it all melts down and returns to the Torne river.
During the project a plan for the environment, in ice and
snow, will be made and then a part of it will be built in
January 2010. The purpose is to improve the outdoor
environment with landscape architecture to enhance the
experience of Icehotel and create an exciting entrance to
the area.

Children and teenagers of today have grown up with digital media. According to Olle Findahl's report "The Swedes and the Internet" (2009), adults as well as children are online more and more. Our experience is that at many workplaces as good as everyone use computers and everyone is expected to have digital skills. However at most schools the reality is far from this. According to Findahl's report from 2009, 99 percent of all pupils (in Sweden) have access to computers and Internet, yet it is rare that they get school assignments where the use of Internet is acquired (Findahl 2009).The purpose of our paper is to understand how digital media can be used as a resource for learning, through the perspective of young people.

Student recruitment? - Three teachers? thoughts concerning children's first experiences in municipal arts and music schools. The aim of this thesis is to explore three teacher' experiences of recruitment of students to arts and music schools. The thesis includes thoughts about how teachers can inspire students and why the orchestral string bass is an infrequent choice of instrument to study. I have examined the issues through a qualitative study where I have interviewed three licensed string bass teachers of different ages and backgrounds.
