Stockholm has in recent years experienced a strong population increase but despite that fact, the demand for housing has not been followed by enough housing contracts. According to forecasts, growth in population will further be continued upward. With more condominiums than rental units on the market, new apartments are too expensive to live in. This creates unsustainable problems for those in lower classes of society. Creating a housing market in the periphery of Stockholm is not sustainable from a social perspective.

This B.Sc. Thesis examines how Swedish Large Cap companies communicate CSR in social media. We describe the current state of CSR communication in four different social media channels, Twitter, Youtube, Facebook, and blogs. This research, supported by interviews with stakeholders and a quantitative survey, analyses the potential risks and benefits from communicating CSR via social media and provides concrete advice on the development of a CSR communication strategy for social media. Although some benefits have been realized, many companies have failed to truly reap the potential benefits from an effective social media strategy for CSR.

This C-essay focuses its research on the taste of guitarplaying and non-guitarplaying soundengineers, in using single or dual microphone setups when recording electric guitar. It will be shown if there is a significant difference in taste when using one or two microphones between the two testsubject groups. Two classical microphone setups have been used for the test of this essay, which includes a blind listening test. The information in this test will benefit both guitarplaying and non-guitarplaying engineers by getting greater knowledge regarding what kind of microphone setups to use for different occations. The findings in this essay show in general, that guitarplaying and non-guitarplaying engineers between the ages of 19 - 26 don?t have a specific taste between single or dual microphone setups when subjected to the blind listening test..

Detta arbete handlar om hur man visuellt kan påvisa samband mellan händelser i rum och tid. I rapporten redovisas en funktionsmodell för analys av händelser i rum och tid i syfte att se eventuella mönster. Jag anser att de problem som i första hand behöver lösas för att kunna automatisera analysstegen är vetenskaplig forskning som handlar om att formulera, modellera och lösa problem av liknande art, vilkas informationsstruktur än så länge är otillräckligt känd. Framtagen funktionsmodell bygger därför på en interaktion mellan en erfaren analytiker och ett begränsat verktygsstöd. Detta betyder inte att konkreta delproblem inte kunnat lösas, vilket är vad denna rapport redovisar.

Today there are many system development projects that break both budget and time plan. Often this depends on defects in the information systems that could have been prevented. The cost of test can in some cases be as high as 50 % of the projects total cost and it's at the same time an important part of development. Test as such has moved its focus from the software it self and its faults to a wider perspective on whole infrastructures of information systems where assure a good quality is important. Sogeti in the Netherlands have developed a test method called TMap (Test Management approach) that can be used for structured testing of information systems.

The Swedish forest industry has put a lot of resources in the development of digital communications in hopes of improving collaboration with suppliers. The purpose of this study was to investigate whether VIDA would benefit from using digital communication with suppliers. The survey was conducted as a questionnaire study among the company?s staff and its suppliers. The result indicated needs and interests to use digital communications in both groups. Young suppliers and suppliers on a distance showed the most interest in using digital communication. In terms of using these digital communications, the staffs and suppliers were most interested in information regarding transaction and forestmanagement plans.

The Island of Öland has one of the best wind climates for land based wind power in Sweden. An objective for the Island is to become self sufficient using electricity from renewable source of energy such as wind. There is currently 55 MW capacity installed on the Island and it is estimated that grid congestion will occasionally occur if more than 135 MW was installed.The aim of this thesis is to investigate he possibilities for load management by smart charging of electric vehicles, EV. The definition of smart charging is that the charging is done to some extent with an ICT-system, (information and communication technology) that correlates wind electricity generation to the charging of electric vehicles. The purpose is to avoid grid congestions on the sub-sea cable that connects Öland to the mainland because that in turn would curtail wind energy production.

The purpose with this project is to explore and verify three renovating systems for Miljonprogrammet (common expression forbuildings constructed during the years 1965-1975 when over a million houses where built in Sweden) to take measure to thelargely transmission losses of these buildings. Many of the buildings from this period have similar constructions and thereforethe same techniques can be used to renovate several of them. This project only considers the climate scale, although thereare many more factors to concern for to efficient the buildings of Miljonprogrammet.This thesis presents examples of renovations carried out using two of the three renovation systems.The essay presents a reference house of choice on which we apply the three systems and calculate the new U-values,consumption of energy and the investment costs. The new U-values the building is given is matched to the values ofrecommendation for passive houses. Our reference house is a two story apartment building, located in the village ofLammhult, with brick facades at the ends and plaster at the long sides.

Sveaverken is a company who manufactures products and equipment for the modern farm enterprise within grain, pork and horse businesses. A large share of Sveaverken's turnover depends on the role as a subcontractor for Delaval within the areas ventilation, manure handling and feeding systems. Sveaverken wants to investigate the possibility to increase sales by establishing new sales channels, for example e-commerce This thesis is an analysis of the Swedish farmers use of internet, attitudes towards e-commerce and Sveaverken's interest within this area. There is also a minor economic analysis of the cost of establishing the e-commerce site. The study focuses on farmers who are potential customers to Sveaverken within Sweden. To examine the farmers opinions about internet and e-commerce a questionnaire was developed and sent out in November 2006, to 500 farmers of which 45% answered. The results show that the average age of the farmers was 42,5 years.

Syftet med föreliggande uppsats är att uppnå förståelse för den kroppslighet som konstrueras i en gymmiljö. För att uppnå svaret på syftet har jag intervjuat ett antal personer som i stor utsträckning ägnar sig åt kroppsligt arbete i form av gymträning. Det empiriska materialet utgår från tio kvalitativa intervjuer och informanterna består av fem män och fem kvinnor i åldrarna 23 till 31 år. De teorier som ligger till grund för analysen av empirin är bland annat Foucaults teorier om hur kroppen kan ses ur ett makroperspektiv och Goffmans analyser om kroppsliga relationer ur ett mikroperspektiv. Giddens teori har använts för att analysera relationen mellan kropp och identitet. De genusbaserade teorierna innefattar bland annat Butlers analyser om hur genus kan ses som något performativt.De slutsatser som kan dras från uppsatsen är att informanterna tränar på gym av flera olika anledningar, men strävan efter att förändra kroppen fungerar som en stark drivkraft.

In Sweden the social assistance from a historical perspective, has been a part of the social legislation, since the 18th century. In that time called poor relief. Through the centuries this has established the social assistance we have today. With focus on the child, we have attempted to illustrate how the social workers consider the child perspective when they are dealing with the social assistance. We wanted to get a view of how the social worker reasons about needs the children have and how they can see that the benefit has been provided for.

Syftet med studien är att komplettera den forskning som gjorts inom landskapsvetenskap och kulturgeografi utifrån ett utmarksperspektiv. Studien ska bidra till förståelse för utmarkernas placering och förändring under de senaste 200 åren. Detta görs genom att jämföra två områden med olika naturgeografiska förutsättningar, ett på Linderödsåsen och ett på Kristianstadslätten, utifrån faktorerna jordarter, utmarkers storlek, markanvändning och djurhållning.Utmarkerna var de områden som byns bönder i huvudsak använde till bete. I denna studie kommer det som lantmätaren klassat som utmark, hagmark eller fäladsmark i kartornas protokoll att räknassom utmark. Kartmaterialet av utmarker och inägor sammanställdes till två områden som det gjordes olika analyser inom och för att utföra detta användes geografiska informationssystem.

Finnhamn is a group of islands that are located in the middle north part of Stockholm?s archipelagos. On the main island Stora Jolpan there is a camp called Sommargården, which consists of eleven different buildings in various sizes. The assignment given by the Archipelago foundation (Skärgårdsstiftelsen) is to analyze if it?s benefited to replace Sommargårdens current heating system that consists of electricity radiators, with a more energy efficient heating system. This research is done with help of the literature review and a visit to Finnhamn in order to map Sommargården?s current state and its energy usage.
