Människans konsumtionsbeteenden bidrar till växande negativ miljöpåverkan, och för att bryta utvecklingen krävs arbete på flera nivåer, däribland individnivån. Eventuellt kan massmedia bidra till sådant arbete. Denna studies syfte var att med fokus på konsumtionsbeteenden undersöka miljöbudskap i en nyhetstidnings webbpublicerade artiklar. Jag analyserade artiklarna med kvalitativ, teoretisk, tematisk analys, samt kvantitativt genom att kontrollera i hur många artiklar olika budskap identifierats. Analysens utgångspunkt var en lätt modifierad version av Sterns VBN-teori (Value Belief Norm theory), som fokuserar på attityder relevanta för miljövänligt beteende.

De av företaget rekommenderade cut-off värdena på Roche Cobas e411 (Roche Diagnostics) är för CA 125 <35 kU/l, för CA 15-3 ?25 kU/l och för CA 19-9 <27 kU/l.

The purpose of this study is to explore specific pedagogical activities that benefit the student's verbal language development and to learn more about how our schools use teaching methods to achieve the ambitions in the governing documents in Sweden. The aim is finding the correlation between theory, research, governing documents and the educational work in our schools. This study contains an empirical survey in intention to see how teachers, pupils and school administrators experience school activities, to see if those activities are formed with the intention for pupils to reach the learning goals according to the governing documents.The aim of this study has been achieved by relating empirical data with theories and previous research on conversation analysis. Goffman's and Norrby's research on the importance of dialogue and previous research on dialogicity studied by Dysthe, Vygotsky and Bakhtin are presented. Those are related to empirical data and show that most teachers realize the importance of integrating dialogues in daily activities and in different learning contexts.

The material is analyzed using descriptive tools, cross tables and correlation matrices in which general characteristics as well as individual understandings of the network communication are presented and discussed.Main results: The general results indicate that the network communication serves important purposes, such as providing support and motivation for the members and changing attitudes towards equal opportunities. The analysis suggests that the network members have good communicative possibilities to serve as agents of change within their organisations. Denna uppsats undersöker hur genus skapas och iscensätts i Sveriges Televisions julkalendrar 1996 och 2007 samt om det skett någon förändring över tid vad gäller skapandet och framställandet. Detta undersöks genom en semiotisk analys samt med queerteori som teoretisk utgångspunkt. Undersökningen visar att julkalendrarna i många fall bidrar till ett vidmakthållande av stereotypa könsroller. Man kan dock urskilja en förändring mellan de båda kalendrarna då den senast sända ger ett intryck av att producenten gjort medvetna val för att undvika ett reproducerande av könsstereotyperna..

Due to the growing wild boar (Sus scrofa L.) population in Sweden there has been an increase in wild boar related traffic accidents, damage on cropland, and conflicts regarding the management of the wild boar. Knowing what makes the wild boar reproduce and survive more or less successfully in different geographic areas is an important part of managing the population. According to previous studies the wild boars rate of increase varies from county to county. The aim of this study was to test, on the county scale level, if landscape composition and diversity as well as people and hunter densities might be the reason for this variation. The first hypothesis was that a big proportion of forests and cropland would increase the rate of increase.

Jag har gjort en diskursanalys utav tre läromedel i svenska avsedda för gymnasieskolans B-kurs.Analysens syfte är att se hur läromedlen i gymnasieskolans svenskundervisning tar upp utomvästerländska författare, såsom afrikanska, sydamerikanska och asiatiska författare, med utgångspunkt i postkolonial teori. Hur motiveras de utomvästerländska författarnas medverkan i läromedlen, huruvida upprätthålls den världsbild som har västerlandets överlägsenhet som utgångsläge i val av författare och verk?Min slutsats blir att läromedlen inte uppfyller de krav läroplanen ställer på dem när det gäller att lyfta in ett internationellt perspektiv i undervisningen. Jag anser även att det sätt, som läromedelsförfattarna många gånger tar upp utomvästerländska författare på, bidrar till att maktstrukturerna i samhället vidmakthålls..

Examensarbetet gjordes i samarbete med Maria Westerlind AB och målsättningen var att ta fram femton modeller inför våren 2011, varav tre har valts ut för närmare analys. Konstruktionerna gjordes i Lectras programvara Modaris, dels från färdiga modeller, dels från befintliga grunder. Rapporten beskriver tillvägagångssättet för konstruktionen av de tre utvalda modellerna och redovisar resultaten av de förstaprover som sytts upp baserat på dessa konstruktioner. Utifrån detta har en jämförelse gjorts mellan för- och nackdelar för de olika tillvägagångssätten och slutsatsen blir att det är svårt att föredra det ena före det andra eftersom tillvägagångssättet bör väljas baserat på modellen som skall konstrueras men att upprättandet av ett bibliotek med konstruktionsunderlag skulle kunna vara användbart i framtiden..

The purpose of this paper was to examine the inflation hedging capabilities of property shares. A common notion is that property is a good hedge against inflation. Indeed, positive correlations have been found for direct investments and inflation. However, property shares are generally perceived as a perverse inflation hedge. This discrepancy has often been quoted as evidence of property shares divergence from the development of the underlying property market.

In a column experiment the effect of three different biochars on nitrous gas emissions, nitrogenretention and water filled pore space (WFPS) were studied in a Swedish sandy soil, classified as aCryopsamment. Ammonium retention was positively correlated, while KCl-extractable ammoniumwas negatively correlated, with the specific area of the biochars. The question was raised whether thenegative correlation between extractable ammonium and biochar specific area reflects the amount ofammonium present in the soil or its extractability from the biochar, and whether methods forextracting soil mineral nitrogen, like KCl-extractions, have to be modified for application on biocharamended soils. There was a tendency of increased nitrate retention and KCl-extractable nitrate withbiochar and KCl-extractable nitrate was positively correlated with the specific area of the biochar. pHwas higher for all biochars compared with control, although the differences were not significant, andWFPS was lowered by biochar addition, significantly in one case.

In light of the global retail markets recent integration, consumers are opened up to new products and are beginning to develop a vetted interest in the heritage of those products. Within literature this process has been coined "Country of Origin" COO, and its impacts on consumer attitudes, product value- assessment, and overall behaviors has been one of the most emphasized areas of "international business" studies, during the last three decades. Numerous studies have shown a correlation between positive or advantageous associations to a country of origin, and the actual products representing and coming out of that country. It is by this synergetic process that so-called positive COO-effects are brought forth.The goal of this thesis stems directly from the still unexplored potential for Swedish firms to differentiate their products and brands on new international markets, through a strategic and coherent communication of relevant Swedish COO-effects.
